THERES PLUSHES OF TASMANIAN TIGERS WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE

The other day I just felt like bringing every single thylacine plushie I have out onto the lawn. Group photo time!

Compared to last April's photo, there are... 19 new plush thylacines, bringing the total to 63!! (if we include puppets, mitts, hidden joeys, and all Jellybeans). That includes 5 that I made or modded from other plushies.

My shelves were due a big rearranging anyway, so I'll probably post another collection update once that's done, because there's a lot of great new non-plush thylacines in there too!

The names! (I am actually starting to have a hard time remembering the genders I originally gave a few of these lol, but the names are all still crystal clear to me. A few of them can get transed, that's okay.)

Oops, between taking these pics and posting them, I may have actually sewn a secret 64th thylacine.

Found this sweet,scruffy girl at goodwill today; her tag says her name is "Lala".

I made sure she was safe and ready for the trip home and told her all about the other pups at her new home.

Not long after we made it home she made herself comfortable and took a good long nap. I made sure the other pups gave her some space so she could settle in on her own time.

After a nap and plenty of love, Lala let me brush and freshen her up.

Golden retrievers are a comfort animal of mine and this girl is no exception. Finding Lala made my heart so happy I just had to share her story!

I survived the doctor's appointment today! We ended up not doing any tests because I was freaking out too much.

But we talked and I'm being sent to a different specialist surgeon!

I need potential surgery on my back, chest, and abdomen. I was supposed to go to the Mayo Clinic but I can't because it's too far away. So my doctor is referring me to someone closer, but I don't know how long it will take to get an appointment.

We've been pretty sick and miserable lately. Laika has been helping a lot. He is so cute and so, so soft and cuddly. We can't put him down and are getting super attached to him.

Had Marshmallow planned to come with me and then a guest surprise friend that I found the day before at goodwill! (He’s all cleaned now)

Still planning a name for him currently but I’m having a good time on my trip so far!

New Plushies 🤍🖤

I got these two Webkinz online new with their tags so I could restart my Webkinz account after being inactive since like 2011

I always wanted the black cat as a kid so it was a dream to get her after pining after her for years as a child

I used to have the lil kinz rabbit that I got for Easter as a child but they didn’t survive the Webkinz purge so I basically just rebought the same one I already had lol

Their names are Marshmallow🐰and Duchess 🐈‍⬛

@glitchy-furby I mostly get my plushies through Mercari but I will be on the lookout at goodwill, I searched a few days ago with no luck but I will not loose hope 🫡

Why the hell are Webkinz Signature plushes so expensive???

Genuinely someone please tell me why these plushes go for an upwards price range of $200? They’re mass manufactured plushes that are not “rare” in any real limited quantities. Most of the time they don’t even have a tag/code so they aren’t really considered new in the secondhand market. There’s not a massive amount of collectors for them to have the prices so high due to high demand either. I know they were priced like $10 more than the og Webkinz when they were sold but this much of a markup is insane.

I also collect dolls and they have a similar scale in terms of manufacturing, and degrees of newness but they are not priced this high for a used or particularly hard to find doll. But from my knowledge there is a larger doll collector community than there is for the plush/stuffed animal collectors and specifically for Webkinz. I collect mostly barbie and monster high dolls for reference and those are typically 15-20 dollar range for a standard doll from a specific line.

I just wanted an African wild dog as I love those animals and to my surprise the cheapest ones I can find are $50 😭 Personally the most I’ll ever pay for a used stuffed animal is $20 but I can see $30 being reasonable for a signature plush as a standard price.

Someone please tell me why people are pricing them so high please for my sanity lol

Memorial for my Webkinz that were given away in the Great Webkinz Purge

Couldn’t keep all 25+ Webkinz while moving as a child
