Do you think the science side of tumblr could explain why we asexuals are fawning over an animated romantic comedy?

The first thing I draw after playing Fantasy Life i:
PINO HITTIN THAT ELDERWOOD ZAZA 😜🌿
I also made an alt version without it 😿

I really wanted to draw him like the doobie Ralsei meme fndncnx… it’s an inside joke between me and my sibling…
Also here’s a bonus:

You’re welcome, also sorry if I jumpscared you with cursed art 😿😿
Also yeah, I have played the 3Ds one! I played it sm in 2016 or so. I’m mostly a Daemon and Odin fan, but FLi made me love some old characters yaaaay. I should continue my replay of the first one!!

Here is Tatsuro’s family! (circa 1963)

Mr. Yamamoto, Makiko Itoi, Tatsuro Itoi, and Yumi Yamamoto
Infodump below:
Tatsuro’s parents met during the late forties and was love at first sight – said by Makiko. After Tatsuro was born on August 27, 1957, his parents got married and then left their home country for Eagleland. Makiko unfortunately suffered from postpartum depression (not to mention homesickness as well), so Mr. Yamamoto cared for baby Tatsuro. Makiko later received treatment for her depression, and returned to caring for Tatsuro. Overall, the family was happy despite the difficulties of being immigrants.
Yumi was born in 1960. Happy to have a sibling, Tatsuro quickly grew a bond with her. Both siblings got along with each other without any problem. However, it could not be said the same for Tatsuro’s parents unfortunately. Makiko’s husband was beginning to show detachment from her. Mr. Yamamoto spent little time with her – making weekend absences were common. At the time, neither child was aware how bitter their parents’ marriage was getting. Nowadays, Tatsuro believes that Mr. Yamamoto would try to paint himself as a better person by spending his free time with his children more. Yet Tatsuro was able to see how terrible was the situation getting.
Tatsuro and Yumi ended up witnessing their parents’ arguments – only through listening. The first argument frightened the children, Tatsuro remembers getting nightmares afterwards. He describes that the arguments became so common that it just became a regular routine. Tatsuro had to comfort Yumi from the yelling, sometimes needing to take her outside for a moment. In one instance, Tatsuro ended up getting a cold from sitting outside in the cold for so long.
By the end of 1964, his parents filed a divorce. Mr. Yamamoto decided that he was going to leave and Makiko was going to stay with the house. Given that Tatsuro is the eldest, he was given the option of staying or leaving. Neither parent could have both children, disheartening news for everyone. Tatsuro struggled on his decision, still wanting to have both parents. However neither parent could further tolerate each other. Tatsuro couldn’t allow to be separated from his mother, so he decided to stay with her. Makiko was relieved to see her son chose her over Mr. Yamamoto. Though she was heartbroken when Yumi was forced to leave with Mr. Yamamoto once the divorce was finalized. Shortly afterwards Makiko began to drink her sorrow away, becoming unrecognizable to Tatsuro.
During the two months after the divorce, Tatsuro had weekly phone calls with Yumi. Originally, Mr. Yamamoto wanted to check on his son, but at that point, Tatsuro no longer saw him as his own father. Tatsuro had built a bitter grudge against Mr. Yamamoto. Not wanting to speak to his father, Tatsuro asked to speak with Yumi instead. Yes, the parents decided that neither side was going to remain in contact after the divorce, but they allowed their children to speak with each other for now. Both kids found comfort and happiness through each call. Eventually Makiko wanted Tatsuro to let go of the past so she cut contact between them. Yumi is Mr. Yamamoto’s daughter, and Tatsuro is the son of Ms. Itoi.
Of course this resulted in Tatsuro getting mad at his mother. The only thing that gave him comfort was taken away permanently. Since then, Tatsuro has never contacted Yumi ever again. Yumi is just now a distant memory from Tatsuro’s childhood. Tatsuro and his mother forgave each other and went on with their own lives.
By the time Tatsuro was around eight, that’s when he ended up meeting Giegue…
