BERLIN CITY GIRL is a playlist created by younha’s german cousins after she’d asked them to compile their favorite songs for her to listen to. their music taste differs greatly from hers, but she surprisingly found herself enjoying most of the songs, even showing them to her brother, junho. her cousins regularly recommend new songs for her to add to the playlist and help her to keep up with the charts in her home country.

FOR HIM. is a playlist for younha’s boyfriend. she started creating it two months after they started dating, but only felt comfortable showing it to him one year into their relationship. younha associates a lot of memories with this playlist, so she couldn’t bring herself to delete it after their breakup.

FAVORITES is a compilation of younha’s all-time favorite songs. the genres in the playlist tend to be korean r&b, soul or pop-rock, an accurate depiction of her taste in music. she rarely adds songs to this playlist.

younha grew up trilingual, speaking german with her father, korean with her mother and english when she had to communicate with both of them.

she lived in munich, germany for nine years before her family moved back to her mother’s hometown in korea.

she has an older sister and an older brother. her brother, kang junho, actually debuted as a soloist under sm entertainment in 2010 and is still active.

she struggled a lot during her trainee days and had a hard time befriending any of the other trainees since most of the girls only talked to her because of her brother, trying to get his number.

younha initially wasn’t supposed to join bts, since they already had another female trainee in mind, which caused a lot of tension between her and the girl that was supposed to debut with them.

she used to be a little uncomfortable with their concepts back then, since it was mostly meant for boys, but never complained.

the first few years were pretty lonely for her since she didn’t share a dorm with the boys.

younha got her first tattoo when she was eighteen, but had to cover it up for almost two years, before she finally revealed it to her fans.

she would love to do more vlives, but sometimes feels that people don’t really care about her. seokjin, jimin and taehyung mostly force her to join their vlives, since they know about their band member’s insecurities.

she has a passion for acting and starred in a handful of dramas.

younha is extremely close with a lot of sm artists thanks to her brother, especially the members of shinee.
