Hiya. Your Dimivain is so adorable. I want to know what's some of the things you love about them? :)

Ahh thank you!! It means so much to me that someone enjoys it! Asking me what I love about them is like asking what I love about living and breathing. Haha

Long answer? There's a reason I'm a picture drawer and not a word writer and we'd be here for another timeskip if you let me go on for real. So I'll give you three things.

One of the big ones is that they are so different at a first glance, but remarkably similar where it matters. No matter how much they would try to avoid addressing it, they intimately understand the same struggles, from managing the tragedy, to lack of self worth, to having to juggle the future of the kingdom. And having to be strong for others when they themselves have no room to breathe. Where they differ is where they start to fill in for each others gaps. It doesn't take a genius to come to the conclusion that Sylvain's goofiness is good, healthy even, sometimes. When there's too much going on you make room to breathe, or risk falling apart sooner than later. He makes room for Dimitri. And--hold for another fivehead deduction coming to fruition here--unfortunately, he is also a liar. To be silly in the face of the things they see is the work of a chronic liar. Dimitri's brazen honesty is why Sylvain needs him. To remind him to say something profound and true, for once, or risk losing sense of what is and isn't a lie after telling so many for so long.

Second thing is that despite this, they see each other for what they are. As individuals, not figureheads, and beyond any personas. They are the ones who know and appreciate each other when one of them barely remembers who he is. To say that is both a rarity and so deep a desire for both of them is an understatement. It is something that this relationship provides that no one else does in the same way.

And third is that I can only hope to feel as devoted to someone as they are to each other. A kind of person who is so important to you no matter how distant they sometimes feel. A part of you that no matter what paths you take or what you try to do to get on with your life, you are never really done with them. You will always try to close the gap. We know Sylvain would give his life to a losing battle if Dimitri was the one spearheading it. That Dimitri would risk his reconstructing the crest system which would change the lives of so many who were hurt by it--like, and maybe especially, Sylvain. The thought of changing the world to make it kinder for someone you love, is there anything more romantic than that?
