Bruh…. It’s not fluidphobic, it’s literally the name of the character.

funny i thought the character the was called 'loki'? no?

alright i'd love for someone to argue with a genderfluid person about what is or is not offensive or upsetting for genderfluid people.

lady loki is not the name of the character. the character is called loki.

this is loki. separating her as 'lady loki' implies she is somehow not loki. that she is somehow a different character. and describing any version of loki that has breasts as 'lady loki' already doesn't have vibes because you can't assume someone's gender by their body.

the only time ‘lady loki’ was used in the comics was waaay back when it was loki possessing lady sif's body hence 'lady loki' copying sif's title, and back then loki wasn't canonically genderfluid yet and the comics where in no way willing to do decent lgbt representation. the current/modern loki hasn't been referred to as 'lady loki' as far as i'm aware.

i'm sure loki would kick you arse if you insisted on calling her 'lady loki' in her female form, but just 'loki' when they're male. instantly implying you think their male form is their default form and the female form is different.

also looking at the list of names and aliases that the current loki goes by...

huh that's weird almost like 'lady loki' isn't on that list. and as i said in that post, i'm not saying it's fluidphobic to refer to them as 'my lady' you know in the context of that being a title, i'm talking about saying things like 'loki or lady loki' as if they're two different characters and not the same person.

if someone called me damien when i'm male but 'lady damien' when i'm female it would definitely feel pretty fucking rude to me.

and just to add some more tweets from starsofasgard that i didn't put on my previous post because i didn't want it to be too long:

you know it’s not like loki is always male and there’s some odd alternate universe version of them that’s female either. he is a genderfluid character and talking about lady loki as if she’s some other person is fluidphobic. and as for the variant in the loki series, why can’t she just be called loki? calling tom’s ‘loki’ and sophia’s ‘lady loki’ implies that tom’s loki is ‘the male one’ which isn’t true, tom’s loki is genderfluid. and for all we know, sophia’s could be as well. it also implies that gender = pronouns, and assuming someone’s gender by the body parts that they have, that because of her body she must be ‘lady’ Loki.

and if it’s proven that she has a name other than loki, like sylvie, can we please respect that and call her that instead.

not that i think loki’s gender will be shown well or at all handled well by disney. we already had all the tva assuming and referring to the dangerous variant loki as ‘he’ from the start. and if disney does decide ‘lady loki’ will be her official name in the credits, don’t think that makes it less fluidphobic. just because disney does something doesn’t mean it isn’t transphobic, you know, the company known for it’s shitting handling of lgbt representation. 

frankly just the fact that you're trying to tell a genderfluid person what is and isn't fluidphobic and what i'm allowed to be offended or upset by is just validating my feelings that some of this fandom, while willing to celebrate that loki is genderfluid, do not understand genderfluidity and don't actually care about supporting real genderfluid people.

and i’d just like to repeat again: even if the name was official, that doesn’t make it less transphobic. something can be canon and transphobic. espeically when it’s a name given out a disney, a company with a bad track record for lgbt+ representation. i don’t know how to tell you that something can be canon and be bad representation. or be canon and offensive. i don’t know what rock you’d have to have been living under to think that.

Idek why I love these two so much.  Springhole plot generators are great, because the plots are just stupid enough for this dumbass duo:

a moody elf makes an impossible demand + minor protagonist finds a way to realize a goal but something goes horribly wrong + the item that the protagonist has worked so hard to get turns out to be a complete myth
