So to the people using the Bible to promote separating families and putting kids in cages…

“You shall not wrong or oppress an immigrant.” Exodus 22:21

“Cursed be anyone who deprives the immigrant of justice.” Deuteronomy 27:19

“The immigrant who resides with you shall be to you as a citizen amount you.” Leviticus 19:33-34

“So no wrong or violence to the immigrant.” Jeremiah 22:3-5

So can y’all just admit you’re racists instead of smearing God’s word for your hate.

Settler Bias

Watching a documentary and just realized how fed up I am with the portrayal of American settlers. This specific example is Daniel Boone's settlement, and it described how in Europe, all the land was owned and there wasn't much opportunity for advancement, but in America, there was hope to expand West. It treated the land as if it was free for the taking, uninhabited. This MODERN documentary, it came out THIS YEAR, conveniently ignores the fact that the land was taken from the native peoples and treats "determined" (greedy) pioneers as heroes.

I understand that this is a common scope through which American history is viewed, but it needs to stop. We need to stop glorifying people for being something they weren't.

I'm new to blogging, M/18, I've got a lot of unpopular opinions in a heavily conservative area. Consistently hate capitalism, imperialism, fascism, etc. Not sure why I'm blogging, maybe to bounce around ideas, maybe to help start a revolution.

I think humans aren't inherently good or evil, that's what makes our choices so important.
