It's interesting to see a generational divide in the associations with the word "cum"; like for me it sounds more clinical compared to come -- whereas other people could have the complete opposite history with it. If i had only encountered the cum spelling on strictly juvenile writing, for example, then I would understand the sentiment cringing at it.

But I didn't have those experiences! I have been watching streamers with crass, bawdy humour about bodily fluids for so long and I still don't mind the 3-letter spelling. Sex is sometimes funny to me and that doesn't devalue its eroticism. It's all subjective.

And then this is all compounded again with one's very personal attitude towards sex like do you prefer it if sex is described more elegantly? That there's some sort of respect or reverence required in writing the act? Or do you think sex should be more ordinary, and writing about it needs to be more down-to-earth to feel erotic?
