The top 10 trends affect the hotel industry
The hotel exhibition, which organizes business events for the hotel industry, identified what is believed to be the top 10 trends affecting the hotel industry in 2015.
1. Catering for the Millennial Generation
The Millennium Generation (18 to 34 years old) is expected to represent 50% of all travelers to the United States. . By 2025, according to the Cornell Hospitality Research Center. Companies must define their strategies based on the personality traits and personal habits of this demographic: they travel a lot; they are the first to adopt technology; they love personal and spontaneous interactions. Hotels will want to satisfy you through easy check-in and gourmet experiences at reasonable prices. In contrast, the two thousand satisfied will actively promote their work on channels of social communication.
2. Technological explosion
Most of today’s guests are self-sufficient travelers and technology experts who feel comfortable using mobile applications or websites. Hotels must ensure that their offers are up-to-date and easy to use. In business meetings and conferences, travelers expect hotels and conference centers to have high-quality technology equipment and expert support staff.
3. Flow of international visitors
International leisure trips are on the rise: Dubai International Airport has become one of the busiest airports in the world. Hotels must be able to provide services in several languages and personal experiences adapted to the unique culture and needs of their international visitors.
4. Greater focus on health and well-being.
Hospitality news India Guests today take care of their health. The hotel responds to well-equipped gymnasiums, swimming pools and spas. Travelers increasingly expect innovative health options. In addition to healthy dining options, increasing trends include energizing lighting, air purifying, yoga spaces, exercise equipment in the room and even bath water with vitamins.
5. The need for perfect technology
Uninterrupted communication between platforms and devices is becoming increasingly important. Many hotel groups offer mobile phone and digital concierge services. At the Arria Casino and Casino in Las Vegas, guests get high-tech cards that discover their presence and open the door even before arrival.
6. Sustainability rules
Environmental practices have become the norm, with characteristics focused on renewable energy resources and water scarcity. Many hotels install solar panels and upgrade systems so that air conditioners and lamps are turned off automatically when guests leave their rooms.
7. New staff posts
It seems that many travelers prefer technology to humans: they want to digitally register and do not care if the robot offers room service. This will give employees the opportunity to focus on a more personalized service, rather than routine tasks.
8. Enhanced destination
The explosion of social networks leads to increased hotel participation in destination and self-promotion. Many current photos are tweets for guests on their websites. Some use these materials in their ad campaigns.
9. Real-time damage control
Hospitality India 2019 If a hotel guest is unhappy, they can easily complain to Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, or TripAdvisor. Hotel owners must be able to respond quickly. Helping customers and responding to their needs through these public forums helps maintain positive relationships with guests and enhance future bookings.
10. Unique benefits
With many brands to choose from, real estate needs to find a way to stand out. Some offer free daily wine tasting in their lounges or bars; some feature sophisticated information screens in bathroom mirrors; others offer coordinated music menus

Trending startup update daily India, trending startup daily India
Growth companies and SMEs often see human resources as the bottleneck. This, however, does not have to be the case. You can organize your HR strategically and recruit in your organization and stay flexible.
Why start-ups need to have relevant HR functions
SME and new growth-based businesses rely on a flexible business culture. This means that they must be able to fall quickly and switch off with extreme anxiety. Trending startup Consequently, they do not give priority to organized human resources and recruitment practices. Executives tend to regard these as killers of corporate culture that threaten flexibility and innovation. As a result, good human resource development, SME recruitment processes and the growth of new businesses are left aside.
However, if informal processes are not controlled and employed, they may be more terrible and harmful than good. They create confusion, promote toxic working relationships and negatively affect staff morale, as well as maintain employee.
Developing an active HR function in your business demonstrates that you value your employees and your business in your company. When this is achieved, work improves in:
Recruitment and retention of staff.
Employee Development
Structured human resources help developing companies and SMEs to hire employees
When a company invests in human resources, it becomes better in hiring. They are in advantage because they are more likely to:
Create functional titles and comprehensive non-discriminatory descriptions. With structured human resources, you get accurate job titles and descriptions that attract qualified candidates to progress. This is necessary to achieve this, especially for new companies seeking to hire a variety of equipment.
Conduct neutral job interviews. Employing the right people is very important in small businesses. Unorganized interviews call for biases in the recruitment process. The process becomes flawed, and staff often lack experience or are ineligible. HR and recruitment staff helps new companies to follow the organization's interview processes that qualify the candidate according to predetermined criteria that are also fair to all.
Protect companies from legal problems. When it comes to monitoring federal and state labor laws, structured human resources and employees are key people. These are critical legal issues that you need to understand as a company. HR staff helps you understand complex legislation and how it is applied to your business to avoid litigation. For example, what does the US Family Medical Leave Act mean to your company? HR staff can better interpret and apply policies to ensure that these laws are observed by other staff.
How do Structured HR Help Startups Develop and Retain Employees?
Staff development and retention are essential aspects of business growth. New companies with structured human resources practices are in a better position to do so, while raising their productivity to the next level. Trending startup NewsThese companies tend more to:
Compensate your workers fairly. Benefits and compensation are a large part of human resources. Without solid HR practices and HR professionals, discussions about salary increases and other payment benefits for employees are difficult. These are often reduced to what senior managers feel about a particular job or employee rather than the fair market value of that role.
The Human Resources Department has a responsibility to assess the situation and determine whether salary increases are worth it or not. If you develop fair compensation practices, it also prevents you from developing any gender pay gap, which is most likely when you leave the role to managers.
Eliminate the generalists. Emerging companies are usually full of generalists. These are the staff who wear many hats. It becomes confusing. Specialists in management roles without any management experience. When you eliminate the generalists, you can invest in training managers. The quality of their managers directly affects the decision of employees, whether they reside in the company or leave the ship and are looking for opportunities elsewhere.
Understanding the need for policies The Human Resources Department, along with executives, provides policies that help answer staff questions and deal with small conflicts. With business growth, new employees often face problems such as how to handle expenses, how to manage noise, differences in vision, and how to manage paid leave. The policies created help resolve these problems before they begin to affect employee productivity.
Sponsorship of workplace culture. The human resources departments and the appropriate recruitment of employees in a way that does not feel organized. They make new recruitment records, consider the experience of their candidates and meet their staff on a regular basis. This in turn creates an influential culture that feeds a strong brand of employers leading to the employment of the best quality.
Cultivation of different professional paths. When the company reaches the mark of 30 employees, staff development becomes necessary to retain them. If not, employees feel stuck in their careers. The best department in the company that can develop career change programs is the HR department. This prevents circulation, which is very expensive and denies staff morale.
How do you embrace human resources without losing its flexible course of action?
All company leadership is reflected in the Human Resources Department. To create a flexible and innovative human resources department, you must appreciate flexibility.
This is what you need to create and implement a highly structured HR department:
Zero terms. Jargon promotes distrust among employees, alienation and reduced productivity. To avoid this, HR departments should do everything in their power to communicate clearly and personally, if possible, to eliminate misunderstandings.
There are no strict and fast policies. Browse the book in all aspects of the company, especially for new companies, old. As a start, you do not need to have strict rules governing all aspects of an employee's office life. For example, going hard to employees in order to wear uniforms is out of date.
A set of specific policies. Let's take an example of company values. When you reach company level, this is the only time you can apply. For starters, company values are limited as they evolve as your businesses grow.
You do not need an employee manual. There should be policies such as paid leave, sick time, and others. However, you do not need a complicated employee manual.
What do you do to Develop a Flexible and Creative HR Department?
1. Recruitment of suitable HR staff. These are employees who reflect the company's business culture. Hire people who represent you and think about hiring people who can act as coordinators and human resource officers.
2. Encourage effective participation of human resources. Active human resources seek to know staff face-to-face to understand what drives employee engagement. Top startup news This develops a sense of trust and not a feat for HR staff.
They meet with passive candidates, conduct checks with staff and welcome new employees.
3. Training of human resources personnel. This group does not require boarding and going down, from one side to another between employees and executives to approve everything they need to say. They have staff goals and have the freedom to represent and share information with them.
Its goal is to actively develop the office culture, measure employee commitment, communicate with employees about what is happening in the company and be able to compete with benefits and compensation.
4. Invest in the best human resources programs. This helps streamline some aspects of human resources, such as source tools, applicant tracking systems, and HRIS. However, no HR program can replace individuals.

Hospitality current events in India, hospitality industry news india| Hospitality news in India
The hospitality industry has undergone tremendous changes and interruptions during the past two decades. What are the main trends that are constantly changing the industry and where are the hospitality going in the near future? A study of EHL faculty in the autumn of 2018 provides information on past and new challenges (as well as opportunities) that hospitality players should take into account.
# 1 - Virtual Communities
Social networking, in particular, has had a profound impact on customers. This has led to greater transparency and, overall, better quality of services provided by hotel companies.
# 2 - Common Economy
Airbnb represents a major disruption in the hotel industry, making the competitive landscape more difficult than ever before. This is reinforced by the fact that the accommodation characteristics listed in Airbnb do not necessarily have to comply with the same rules and regulations as traditional hotels.
# 3 - Online Travel Agents (OTA)
They had at least three major impacts on the hospitality industry.
First, they have changed distribution channels and, therefore, have taken value from hoteliers.
Second, the reputation of Indian hospitality brands makes these companies virtually replace hotel brands.
Third, they have established strong relationships with travelers. Now, hoteliers have to pay to reach these customers, leading to a lower profit margin for the past.
# 4 - Digital guest experiences
Hospitality news in india Applications are particularly important in the way hoteliers manage the services they offer to their customers and can now control many aspects of the course and the experience of guests.
# 5 - The prosperity of world tourism.
Low-cost airlines allow more people to travel around the world at a reasonable price. In addition, many emerging markets have seen GDP growth at a rapid pace, allowing their citizens to travel around the world. Customers from South Korea, China, India and others are a large number of potential travelers. Your demand, of course, has a great impact on the supply.
# 6 - Economy experience
Customers demand extreme customization and unique experiences etc. This can lead to the death of a travel agent and the boarding of an independent traveler.
# 7 - Asset Management Practices.
The focus on light assets has become predominant in hospitality news in Indian industry. The separation between operations management and real estate assets now allows hotel companies to focus on their core business and thus improve efficiency.
However, it adds to the complexity and potential additional problems of the agency, explaining the emergence of new types of jobs, such as asset managers.
# 8 - Professionalism
As mentioned above, new job features have emerged after the growing complexity of the hospitality industry. In parallel, the need for quantitative skills (for forecasts, budgets, etc.) has increased.
# 9 - Generations Y and Z
These new generations have different requirements and needs than those of previous generations. One of the respondents said, "Older generations are thinking about hotels and renting cars, younger generations are considering Airbnb and Uber."
# 10 - Sustainability
Hospitality news in india People are more sensitive to environmental and social problems. One respondent said, "This should be taken into consideration in the brand, but be careful in green washing machines: consumers now realize that the front of the store is there and will not buy it."
 Today – hospitality industry 2.0
What is the future of hospitality? In general, our faculty suggests the need for hoteliers to adopt these trends and understand what is at stake. Six dimensions of our survey emerged:
 # 1 - Consolidation is no longer the rule.
It is important to customize services and adapt them to the needs and preferences of travelers.
# 2 - To create value, focus on niche markets.
Customization and greater specialization can allow creating greater value for hotel companies. But be careful, as one respondent said, because this requires honestly thinking about displaying the value of your offer and not just "branding and renaming."
# 3 - Exploit technology as a business accelerator.
Technology will be at the heart of the hotel experience, both in the room, before and after the trip. This will lead to the development of new concepts and more innovation in the industry and contribute to the emergence of an increasingly individualized display.
# 4 - Social responsibility is a moral and economic obligation.
The impact of global warming today can be seen as an important risk for both companies, where they can lose income, profits and society in general. Therefore, it is essential for governments, but more so that companies are more sustainable: "not only green business models but also sustainable models".
# 5 - Developing business models more receptive and flexible.
"Tourism, despite the growing influx of travelers, will become more risky and more vulnerable to crises" as the number of travelers continues to increase. This will be Hospitality news in india accompanied by a more responsive regulation of a disproportionate increase in tourist flows in some places (for example, Venice or Barcelona).
# 6 - Talent management actively.
Gone are days of perpetual retention of staff, as well as negative management styles and hierarchy. "Attracting and developing appropriate talent within and within the hospitality industry remains a key challenge."
Tomorrow - Hospitality Industry 3.0?
Although the consensus, as we have seen, is about the need for industry to adapt better to the current environment, some participants were "more extreme" and suggested that hotel rooms, as we know them today, "will become something of the past."
These participants point to the impact of the common economy and the tendency of existing customers to avoid traditional hotels. They believe that supply adjustments, such as those listed above, are not enough and that the industry really has to reinvent itself.
This view is reinforced by the growing importance of technology in the hospitality industry and the strength of technology companies. The respondent explains:
While respondents are more concerned about the future of the industry, they all agree that they must develop and re-invent themselves to exploit opportunities and meet the challenges they face. The only remaining question is how far this transformation should take place.

5 Tips for Digital B2B Marketers to Consider While Planning Their Campaigns
Planning your 12-month marketing and advertising campaigns can be a difficult task. For B2B marketers, it is extremely important that your campaigns are aligned with an integrated marketing plan for customers to be effective. So here are some key points that B2B marketing professionals can take into consideration when planning their digital campaigns.
You have a vision
You have a clear long-term vision, but with specific short-term goals for implementation. Achieving these short-term goals will serve as test points for validating the long-term vision of the Organization. The company's DNA must be in line with the company's vision and can be used to achieve short-term goals as success stories for business to commit to long-term vision. The vision of the cultural DNA must be accepted and promoted by the senior management.
Data is the key
Prove everything with data and views. Linking data sets, sales, CRM, ERP, media and analytics. The data must reflect the customer's purchase / experience, effectiveness reporting and even allowing automation and scope.
Keep track of your marketing suppression
To create a sales solution for your business news in india, you must first understand your marketing suppression clearly. Who are your consumers? Where are consumers? How do you reach your consumers? How will you commit them? In the end, how will you transform them? If you understand this, you may also find that it is not a solution, but in fact, multiple solutions are needed to solve your business challenge. Therefore, you should understand not only the repression, but also the tools / platforms that you can offer against the repression. Some platforms can be good to reach and pace, others are more attractive and others are convertible. Understand interactions between these platforms and grant credit in a timely manner. Do not put your channels in silos, videos, SEO, media, social networks, etc. Instead, understand how they work together to provide goal and support, and to lead your marketing path. The fact that they are fully informed will help you create multi-platform synergies and competencies and eventually promote a successful marketing machine for your business.
 Experiment, Learn, Iterate, and Repeat
Be smart "The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and wait for a different result." Learn from mistakes. There is no right or wrong way, there is only your style, every business is different and markets are dynamic. Do not be afraid of failure, failure is the first step to success.
The cost of failure in digital is par. For example, a gradual improvement in the marketing path will lead to huge improvements: Clickthrough rate (CTR), which moves from 1 percent to 2 percent, represents a 100 percent increase in the number of leads and sales.
People
This does not mean quoting Salman Khan, but ... B2B marketing still requires to be humanely and emotionally connected with the end user. When making the connection, you must understand the need for drivers for all people who will use the product. In some large B2B solution sales, we may need to direct our communications to different levels within the company. The end-user, the influencer, and ultimately the buyer, may have very different drivers that make them dependent on the product. Therefore, you must create the correct content to talk to the appropriate person:
Buyer (CEO): Provide a case study on how your product can help the competitor save X million a year or grow 15 times a year, etc.
Impact (Business Leader): For example, demonstrate how your product improves workflow, increases efficiency within your business unit, etc.
User (team member): Focus on product characteristics, procedures and benefits, and how it will facilitate your work.
Key to do:
Always see. You have measurable goals and objectives. Plans for their implementation and implementation. Look at the business problem and use the solutions you allow, do not implement things in silos and certainly do not just implement them to check the box. Make sure you remain over-conscious, have the right data to make informed decisions, work quickly, learn from your failures and successes, and do not be afraid to follow the right path.

6 Tips for Starting a Business That's an Instant Hit With Locals
If you want to know how important Brian DeLouy, co-founder of Proper Hospitality, is that the hotels he opens reflect the cities where he was built, do not look beyond their names. "Our company is named Own, we call each hotel as the city and then through our brand," explains. "So, for example, in San Francisco, our hotel is called San Francisco Aun and not San Francisco Aoun.
The company, headed by De Loi and its founders Brad Kurzen and Alex Smick, is rewarded with a great value for preserving local things. Although the San Francisco Proper has opened its doors only two years ago, it does work well compared to its competitive group. This summer, the brand will open three new properties in the hot spots of Santa Monica, downtown Los Angeles. And Austin.
 Hospitality news India
The brand's emphasis on local culture does not have a deep name, of course. In all properties, design, food and drink programs and even the same buildings, San Francisco Proper is located in a historic 100-year-old Flatiron building that reflects its communities. "If we're going to be so local, even in the way we call our hotels, it's very important to be in tune with the environment," says De Loi.
That's how it happens.
See where your business starts and see what's missing.
"I've been working at the Viceroy hotel group for a long time, and as part of the hotel business, they always ask me recommendations, I'm from the Gulf region, so people will say," Hi Brian, you're a member of great hotels where you think I should stay in San Francisco? I did not know what to suggest, which was very surprising ... In this stunning city of many talented people and its great architecture, it makes sense to have a great hotel. There was nothing widespread in a major location that inspired me enough to recommend it to our friends and family, or to provide the kind of experience that San Francisco felt needed. "
 2. Keep an outsider’s perspective.
“Eight years ago, when we first found the building and started the capital raising process, many people thought we were crazy about wanting to set up an upscale hotel on this market street, next to Tenderloin, where things were very narcotic. Certainly did not feel comfortable or luxury. But like foreigners who have returned to the city, we have seen the opportunity not seen by the local population: it is located in the city center, where all kinds of public transport options pass, and there are many beautiful historic buildings nearby ... we feel as he has the opportunity to regain his post. Today, there has been an important renovation: new apartments, condominiums, shops and restaurants, in addition to major technology companies such as Twitter, Uber and Spotify have captured these symbolic buildings. "
Incubate the community.
"We opened in places where we really enjoyed spending some time for ourselves, and what we discovered was that if we enjoyed a location or saw potential somewhere, our customers would share our feelings." The funky design, local food and drink and the cultural connection with the community are a kind of sound premise, and we are pleased, or not secret, sauce is to connect with the best local creative talent in all the worlds that make up the hotel: design, health and well being, programming, The things that dominate us. "
hospitality industry trends  india
Even better, be part of the community.
"I was living in Los Angeles when we bought the building and decided to move to San Francisco and live in room 211 from the hotel.I arrived here for about a year. There was one hotel or two stars without renovation, with a brick façade on the ground floor. It was logical for me to get up and be on the ground, literally, and I really have a chance to meet everyone in the community. So we met Josh Harris and Morgan Chic Of BVH Hospitality, they are leading the drinks side of our cooking program today. "
Hospitality news India
Be patient.
"Especially in real estate and hotel development, it's a long process, and hotels are exciting, but the process of developing hotels for years is very long, especially how to do it, in emerging neighborhoods and with many partners involved. Most of the founding partners we talked to almost took the opportunity. It was hard to tell us "no" many times, and where we tend to make hotels the places where it is difficult to get rights with hotels, it is a comprehensive, challenging, very important. "
Be faithful to your vision.
"We have a very clear vision of what a suitable hotel is and I think it is important to maintain confidence in your vision. There were many critics who did not simply feel that it was the right step to create a luxury hotel in the lifestyle of this San Francisco location, but we stayed faithful to our vision. Today, we are doing very well with our group of companies, because we continue to stick to them, we are increasing the game in San Francisco with our hotel every day. "

Top 5 Indian Startups to Watch in 2019
Based on popular demand, I release another version of the “Top 5 startup in india”. This time I will focus on Indian startups.
India’s Startup Environment
India is an incredibly unique environment for startups and entrepreneurs in general. First of all, China is an important factor in the financing and control of many new Indian companies. In 2015, Alibaba invested in Paytm through its subsidiary Ant Financial. In 2017, Tencent acquired large stakes in Flickrart and First.
Japan is also a serious provider of finance in India. Japan’s Softbank has invested more than $ 8 billion in new business in the country, with a target of $ 10 billion by 2024, which is now surprisingly conservative.
India’s business start-up environment is also highly divided between high-finance companies and those struggling to raise capital.
I am surprised to learn that India currently hosts 26 monopolies (new companies worth more than $ 1 billion) with five new singles who joined the club in 2018 (the most recorded in one year in India).
Although this publication will not address any of India’s 26 companies with a rhinoceros, if you are interested in getting more information, Inc42 has issued an extensive annual summary for 2018 for each of which I recommend: India Top 5 startup in india ? This year?
Like China, India has strong demographic and economic trends that drive growth not only in its new business but also across the country in favor of the economy. The Indian economy is growing at a very healthy annual rate of 7.2%.
While the definition of “Indian middle class” is controversial among researchers, the growth of technology, consumer welfare and quality of life is not debated. Just a quick statistic to show how things are changing: There are more than 450 million smartphone users in India today, compared to 86 million users five years ago.
Initial funding in India reached a high level in 2015 before retiring for several years. In 2017 and 2018, funding exceeded 2015 levels, led by many major investments in Unicorn mentioned above.
According to Inc42 Datalabs, new Indian companies raised $ 9.6 billion in 2018 (up to 12/22/18) in 717 agreements, compared to $ 13.5 billion in 885 agreements in 2017.
Total funds for 2017 were skewed by Flipkart, Ola and Paytm, who raised $ 6,500 million in four sets of funds.
How Did I Choose This Top 10?
As you have seen, India enjoys an incredible healthy start-up environment and a fast-growing economy. I had to go deep enough to find new companies (probably) that you did not hear.
However, many of these new companies will be family names in the coming years, not just in India!
The Top 5 Indian Startups to Watch
Ask Arvi: Insurance via Chatbot
India’s life insurance sector is the biggest in the world with over 360 million policies and is expected to increase between 12–15% over the next five years. The country’s insurance market is expected to quadruple in size over the next 10 years from its current size of $60 billion.
Ask Arvi has positioned themselves as a technology layer on top of all major Indian insurers. At worst, they will be a great acquisition target for any of those massive companies.

4. Flock: Slack competitor, founded in India
Flock is not shy about it: they are a direct competitor to Slack. Having a simple look at your product shots on your website certainly assures it.
Why put Flock on the top 10 list?
All companies that faced Slack failed miserably (see HipChat, Jive, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
The first price Flock comes at 64% cheaper than Slack. For teams and emerging companies sensitive to the price, this is MAIN.
Secondly, Flock has achieved a wide range of followers, not only in India, but worldwide, with more than 100,000 companies using enterprise chat application. While this dwindles compared to Slack, it makes them a viable competitor (and a great target for the acquisition).
Offices in: Bangalore, Mumbai
Total funding: $ 45MM
5. overcart: Returns management
Optoro, a return management platform based in the USA.collected. , More than $ 244 million since its foundation in 2010 and has an assessment close to the territory of Unicorn.

5 Tips for Digital B2B Marketers to Consider While Their Campaigns
Planning your 12-month marketing and advertising campaigns can be a difficult task. For B2B marketers, it is extremely important that your campaigns are aligned with an integrated marketing plan for customers to be effective. So here are some key points that B2B marketing professionals can take into consideration when planning their digital campaigns.
You have a vision
You have a clear long-term vision, but with specific short-term goals for implementation. Achieving these short-term goals will serve as test points for validating the long-term vision of the Organization. The company’s DNA must be in line with the company’s vision and can be used to achieve short-term goals as success stories for business to commit to long-term vision. The vision of the cultural DNA must be accepted and promoted by the senior management.
Data is the key
Prove everything with data and views. Linking data sets, sales, CRM, ERP, media and analytics. The data must reflect the customer’s purchase / experience, effectiveness reporting and even allowing automation and scope.
Be smart “The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and wait for a different result.” Learn from mistakes.
People
This does not mean quoting Salman Khan, but … B2B marketing still requires to be humanely and emotionally connected with the end user.
Look at the business problem and use the solutions you allow, do not implement things in silos and certainly, do not just implement them to check the box. Make sure you remain over-conscious, have the right data to make informed decisions, work quickly, learn from your failures and successes, and do not be afraid to follow the right path.

Technologies Every Hotelier Needs to Understand
When it comes to technology, the lack of integration and resulting data fragmentation remains the biggest challenge for hoteliers. Hospitality industry news is lagging behind in other industries in terms of cloud offerings and software as service techniques. However, the hotel owner today tries to be wherever his guests are and invests a lot in the back and front technologies to provide services without problems.
For the latest research report, the State of the 2018 Hotel Technology Stack, we interviewed 23 industry stakeholders from technology providers and online travel agencies to hotel brands, independent hotel owners and hotel management companies, understanding restrictions on existing hotel technology And possibilities when hoteliers make appropriate technological investments. We divided these interviews into two main groups: the Technology Provider Focus Group, which includes 18 technology providers, an online travel agency (OTA), and Our Own Group of Companies, which include two major hotel brands, Hotels.
Throughout the report, we provide answers to key questions regarding hotel technology. We guarantee answers to the question, “What are your expectations for hotel technology in the future of hotel technology, whether artificial intelligence, voice search, privacy / payment security, robots, etc.?” In the summary below.
We believe that hoteliers must update their technology work plans to focus on the client’s journey, from planning, research, booking to actual hotel accommodation and after staying. You should think about technology in terms of how to improve your ultimate business goal: to provide a great customer experience for guests.
Last week we released the latest report from the Skift search service, the state of the technology stack at the 2018 Hotel.
Below is an excerpt from our Skift Search Report. Get the full report here to stay at the forefront of this trend.
HOTELIERS NEED TO INVEST IN NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGY SOON, BUT WISELY
Despite the challenges facing hotel technology, we are seeing some recent introductions to interesting and exciting next-generation technologies.
For example, hospitality news india Connie uses the new robotic gatekeeper at Hilton, artificial intelligence to help guests arriving at the hotel, which changes the guest experience. Google Voice and Amazon offer an exciting way to search for information, request help, or control your room experiences.
The hotel index at the Globaler Business 2018 found that more than two-thirds of hoteliers are focusing on some next-generation technologies in 2018, whether mobile technology, Internet stuff, in-room technology, virtual reality, artificial intelligence or voice. Research and work from the Skift survey have found that many travel companies see themselves integrating next-generation hospitality industry news into the digital roadmap in the coming years. Most travel companies believe that artificial intelligence and automated learning will revolutionize the industry (see illustration below).
With many travel companies focusing on or adopting new technologies, hoteliers need to invest in emerging technology sooner rather than later if they want to be leaders in the industry.
However, any investment made in next-generation technologies must be smart and aligned with business objectives.
“Many people forget that before we all call Amnesty International, the block chain or the robot car, we first have to deal with the technological foundations of the hotel,” said Max Starkoff of HBS Digital. “Improve the hotel’s direct channel, fix the hotel’s six year old site, get the best central reservation system (CRS), WBE [web reservation engine], good search engine optimization (SEO)], create Google content AMP [Mobile Page Acceleration], start marketing multi-channel ownership, better social networking profiles, get better analytics, business intelligence tools, and finally do something about CRM to attract and retain customers better. “
“If we are to explore the opportunities we see in other industries, we have to take advantage of what we are doing now,” said Michael Bennett of Cinden.
Ultimately, the space for these hospitality news india will be how they can be used to improve the overall guest experience, improve customization and provide the possibilities that the guests really seek. However, we hope that human touch is always required.
“In life, we focus more on what the guests want rather than distracting us with a new presentation or a shiny new object.” “Just because we can, it does not mean we have to be a motto that we sometimes use in technology,” he said. Information to help us focus on using empathy to understand the needs of guests, and then assess solutions to meet those needs. “
APPLICATIONS FOR NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGY: FOCUS GROUP VIEWS
We asked our groups of technology providers and the hotel company: “What are your expectations for hotel technology in the future in terms of hotel technology?”
Many respondents noted the fact that they could see clear applications for a series of next generation technologies in the hotel yard.
Let’s highlight some of the things people have said about the different capabilities below.
Artificial intelligence (AI).
“Amnesty International has the ability to greatly influence our ability to understand and customize the guest experience. There is a lot of data on the flights, and with Amnesty International we can understand and use them to create experiences that meet our guests’ expectations and anticipate their needs.” With this foundation, Border, “such as payments, robots and our favorite voice, are much stronger.”
Automatic learning and chatbots.
“We use automated learning to understand emotions and analyze text … The way I see this is that although personal interactions will continue to be important, we will start seeing customers start their interactions through some of these characteristics, [even] you can get some basic answers right away and Cost savings in the future “.
Voice.
“I think the voice will play an important role in the near future, just think about how you use your smartphone today, I rarely write a text message and always use my voice, and ask my phone for weather, directions, phone calls. Why can not I stop at any booth and ask for registration? Pass my credit card and get my room key if this is my favorite recording method?
