sometimes i think we need a reminder that butch and femme are identities used to describe individual people. they are not a monolith of traits that can be applied to every butch and every femme in the same way. each butch will have their own interpretation of masculinity, and every femme will put their own spin on femininity. someone being masculine or feminine in a way that you doesn't conform to your personal acceptable standard of presentation doesn't make them any less butch or femme!!!!

i genuinely don't understand when some femmes complain of masc shortage when they won't even look at a butch. how can you not want to cuddle up with a beefy butch while they warm you up? hug their arm? run your fingers through their crew cut? play with their carabiner? pull them closer by the collar of their leather jacket? how can you not?

just admit you want a very specific kind of masc and there's actually an abundance of masculine presenting lesbians
