I did like the Sanatanas as America's adoptive family though.

I think this might be the second part of a two part ask, but I didn't get the first one, so thanks tumblr lol.

I also liked the Sanatanas, I just wish they didn't come with a total rewrite of America's orgin story. And a rewrite that was less interesting at that. And of course, the "made in the USA" series came out the same year as America was introduced to the MCU. Suprise, suprise.

Between America and Kamala having their comics derailed, and Miles being the blueprint for the MCU's Peter, characters of color are the ones consistently being degraded by MCUifcation.

Anyways, to complete a long tangent based on a short ask, I think if Marvel really wants movie-comic synergy, they should stop being cowards about it and perma kill Tony Stark.

StarSurf Reading Guide

A small guide to one of my favorite marvel ships: America/Ramone. I wrote this for the Yuri Olympics discord and thought I would share it here, too.

America (2017) - America's first solo comic series, OR Young Avengers (2013) - Not America's first introduction ever, but a starting point I like for her, as a team series it kind of assumes you have read the prev YA series but it's not really necessary, you might feel lost but its just because the plot is kind of wacky, more context won't help much lol.

Hawkeye (2016) - Ramone is introduced, she doesn't get a ton of lines but what she has is good.

West Coast Avengers (2018) - They start dating, Ramone gets her powers and begins using the code name Alloy

America Chavez: Made in the USA (2021) - this series introduced a retcon I really don't care for and personally have eschewed from my version of canon, but it had some nice moments between America/Ramone.

"Mended soles" is pretty much finished. The last few chapters just need some editing and then uploading. I'm probably going to going to start working on something with Becky, but she is difficult to wrangle bc I have so many au versions of her floating around in my head.

I'm excited for the last few chapters of Mended Soles and writing Clint more. I feel like I really have his character voice down tbh

"But Clint, I have to pay the pet fee too" Kate fussed, growing increasingly frustrated. Clint scoffed "Because you keep stealing peoples pets! You took Lucky from me and Jeff from Gwenpool." "You told me to take Lucky to LA with me so he wouldn't get hurt if you had a bunch of people show up trying to kill you again, and basically the same thing happened with Gwen and Jeff." Kate corrected him. Clint had to concede her point. "Yeah okay, that may be true. But I still miss him! Can you put him on the phone for me?"
