Where did 19 come from?? The one discerning point from the 2009 run is the mention that he can't drink alcohol in the Black Cat (per Felicia Hardy asking him for his ID and him refusing / arguing back at her), which by 30s standards means he'd be under 18. But if you didn't know that, ig it'd be under 21 by modern standards, but from there, why 19 specifically

Soo, i did a little research about the drinking age in the 1930’s, and from what i’ve seen, the whole “Noir(2009) is 19” couldn’t really happen, because as you said, the most proving point of his age is him not being allowed to drink and talking about going to collage.

Now, most states in the 1930’s allowed 18 year olds to drink at the time before the Prohibition. In New York the age changed to 21 immediately after the end of The Prohibition, which was December 5th 1933. That is the same year as the 2009 noir comics, but literally the end of it because the action in the comics takes place in January.

Because of that we could assume that Noir was even younger than 18 in the first comics. So yeah, 19 year old noir doesn’t really makes sense in itsv movie nor 2009 comics
