Closing The Blog

Well then.

I guess it’s finally time.

Time to admit I’ve been lying to myself as much as to all of you following this blog, for far too long. I kept insisting I had more stories to tell, that I still had a drive for this blog.

But it just ain’t so. Haven’t been for a very long time.

Can’t run blog anymore due to time and drive no longer exist, but thank you all for caring and following for this long. Check the mod-blog for art and stuff.

The on and off hiatuses should have been a clear sign, but I was worried about disappointing this blog’s many, loyal followers who have stuck around through the many, long hiatuses and continuously made asks and fanart to keep it going.

But it made me break my own clear rules I always preached to others.

- Don’t make a hobby a chore, it’ll just make you burn out for nothing. - When you provide free content, keep in mind you don’t owe anyone anything. - Put yourself first, don’t burnout over something you rather not prioritize. - If this isn’t your money making career, who cares what you do?

I kept breaking those rules to try and keep this blog going.

But really, I have nothing more to tell. I was getting the same asks I had already replied to in the past. Blogs I used to crossover with and which helped make this blog has now gone inactive or officially closed, with very few exceptions.

Adding characters and accidental start on a narrative to tell a dark background story was a far stray from the path this blog was meant for. Just to desperately try and keep my own interest.

The way my life is now, I can’t prioritize a blog I have no interest in keep working on anymore. I have a full time job with physical work to it, I come home exhausted. What energy I can muster for drawing, I want to prioritize differently to be productive and still enjoy what I do. Heck, I can even open for commissions again as long I don’t feel dragged down by this project which has run for far too long.

I want to thank you all, for your dedication and interest in the blog. Old as well as new followers (especially those who are not pornbots) you all kept me going just to entertain you all with my silly ideas.

Thank you all who took part in crossovers, and all who gave Butters surprise cameos and shoutouts on your blogs. Thank you to all who followed me this long. Thank you to all who faved, whe asked, who commented, who submitted, who boosted and who followed.

The blog will be left up for all who still wish to go through the old posts for a quick laugh. Butters and Cast won’t be dead and gone, don’t worry. I’ll still draw them as I please, as I adore everyone of them, including those who I adopted into the cast as well.

Quick shoutouts to @unhinged-pony for helping with fun character building, to @ickie-vicky / @sullenmod for same as well for letting me keep Nutjob, I’ll still take good care of him. To @the-smiling-guard for Timothy and shared world building, it was a blast and I hope our paths will cross again. To @ask-four-inept-guardponies for amazing crossovers over and over, you idiots fitted in so well. I hope the blog will keep go strong, or at least we can still joke around as Mods if you even up quitting the story blogging too. To @askthenightguards for being as open and inspiring, keeping a path between our blogs even when I left Star Shot’s blog for this one. I hope things will only look bright for you as time goes by. @redvelvetrunaway / @redvelvetrecalls for same, letting me connect to your blog even in tiny ways while following your stories with all the excitement your stories bring. To @ask-patient1274 for your patience with me when I asked to borrow your character for a crossover I’m not even going to finish now.

And so many more... You all helped keeping this going for as long as it did, as well as help build it up to what it became.

Quick special shoutout to @reversalmushroom, whom at times would flood my inbox with asks when I needed something to draw about where I got too little from other followers. Don’t be shocked if going through all past posts and realize exactly HOW many of the asks are from that one Internet weirdo. Sometimes you kept this thing running all yourself.

That is all, I think I can’t drag this out much longer. Thank you all. And don’t worry, I’m not done arting, telling stories and having fun.

Still going strong on my Mod-blog and I plan to keep doing so.

Atjour’s a bit of a dozy although more in her personal experience rather than the combo of her orientation. Probably the one of the cast stuck the deepest in the closet, due to her upbringing.

Pretends so hard to be straight it’s just how she’s expect herself to be. But acts bi due to her interest in girls. Those just blankets covering how she really feels but don’t dare accept about herself.

Among the many different reasons she lashes out at ponies, especially stallions. She got some frustrations and confusion to vent.

Let’s have another for the Pride Month! Now only got Atjour left.

Timothy was stated before to be aromantic asexual by the spectrum meme ages ago, his original creator @the-smiling-guard agreeing to it to be as close as one get.

I don’t really consider Timothy to be a real being with an orientation. But it’s the closest thing to explain how little interest he has.

Timothy is made of shadow bits and fragments of lost memories of a soldier from eons ago. Only small bits of who he once where, and it is not who Timothy is. He’s just a fragment, a tiny piece of a shattered whole left to look after Butters as he’s an eager nanny. Simpleminded focused on the task given, a bit glitchy and often unresponsive towards anything outside basics of his ‘mission’.

But yeah, either way, he got no romantic nor physical interest in anyone.

Another for the Pride Month

Hunter... oh Hunter. I have absolutely no idea.

He’s just a cinnamon roll. That’s it. And yes, that’s an attempt to draw a cinnamon roll there on his flag.

I have no freaking clue how he swings if he even does swing. I have no idea. Is he gay? Straight? Bi? Pan? Ace? Who knows?!

Until something happens, blogwise or in RP’s, it’ll stay a mystery I guess.

Not all of the cast is LGBT but wanna show them all during this month.

Glimmershine is straight, probably the most straight of the cast. Maybe the only one, at least openly, now I think about it.

I’m still shifting between whether or not the Crystal Empire is purely traditional, or more open with ‘love is love’ considering it’s meant to be the capital of love and all that. Either way, Glimmershine is straight.

Widowed and not yet ready to date again. But still got a type. Her thing is handsome, pretty little stallions, princes in distress who can treat her like a princess despite how huge she is and her protectiveness. Like her late husband.

I’m on a roll, so have another Pride Month pic.

Nutjob isn’t originally mine, but was given to me by his creator after being used on this blog so much. I try to keep true to what his character was about back then, while also given free range on how to use and develop him now.

Like Butters, I see his orientation as a combo. His base is heterosexuality, I’m still not settled on HOW innocent he might be.

But to me he’s also biromantic. Sure it was officially only friendship between him and Unhinged, only Butters acting up on jealousy without having to had to worry. And he has been seen crushing heavily on the mare in the royal kitchen. But I also see him, romantically, being pretty openminded. He can be close and crush on other stallions even if not physically attracted to them. Close snuggles are cute fun. He more runs on basic crushes, often passing, than real romance either way just yet.

Happy Pride Month, ya’ll!

Enjoy a tiny bit of filler, as I decided to finally draw something for any of these theme months lately.

Butters have been a source of confusion to me for a long time, as I was never truly sure about his orientation. But not anymore! In honour of Pride Month, behold Butters finally out of the closet!

Made good sense to me after thinking about it, that he may in fact be asexual. Sure he got a raging libido, being a chronic pillow humper and all, but he has never felt any physical interest in other ponies. Not even Unhinged Pony, beyond snuggling. And licking his face in sign of friendship. And rubbing his scent all over him to mark his territory.

But being asexual, I also questioned what his romantic orientation was. Clearly his thing was for Unhinged Pony for sure. He wouldn’t care what Unhinged is, first time meeting him in drag, feeling no difference when meeting him again out of drag. Whether Unhinged went through any random transformation on his blog, Butters didn’t care. The appearance means nothing, he only cares about the person that is Unhinged Pony.

So, I figured, he very much likely be panromantic. Makes good sense to me.

Well, ya’ll enjoy Pride Month now, as this blog’s hiatus continues. I might pop in with more Pride filler though, now I got started.
