I am so miserable without my rabbits on the property yet I almost cried about only getting to see them once a day

oh I guess I should update

we’re moved into the new little cabin but the animals still aren’t moved over, we’re working on getting them set up still but we’re both back to work so it’s been slow. anxious about having the animals close again (well, the babies are all here at the cabin to be monitored, but everyone else is at the other farm). but it feels AWESOME to be sleeping in our own little cabin and not in a shitty bus on constant guard for the neighbor :)

Turkey kids are growing fast and spending lots of time outside on field trips, pecking and learning about the big wide world.

ok I’m actually going to circulate this one last time because we have to pay rent for the new place this week and where we’re moving out from is demanding we pay for each week we still have stuff here soooo if we could manage to scratch up another like $300 it would go a long way

With the escalation of harassment from our neighbor, and confirmation that he has a pattern of increasing harassment to the point of violence, we’ve made the decision that we need to pack up and leave ASAP.

We’re waiting for everything to be confirmed, but we have a promising opportunity for a spot to move ourselves and our animals. We want to be prepared to pack up the essentials and get our animals to the new property ASAP, so we’re asking for help in moving to a safer situation. We need a storage unit for our things, Uhaul rental(s), a deposit and transitional rent, and can’t afford to take time off to get everything ready without support.

I feel a chronic need to downplay things, but I’m in a state of constant anxiety that has made it difficult to eat, clean, and even do things I would normally enjoy. The neighbor has been intentionally provoking and creeping on us. He knows our schedule and watches where we go and what we do. We really need help. We really appreciate the support and love everyone’s given us already.

got home just in time to find landlady burned over half the stack of wood we’d made of stuff that was prepped to take with us to rebuild the chicken coop and rabbit shed

starting to put money into the neeeded moving things (uhaul, fencing for the birds, mattress, storage unit, uhaul again bc this is not all happening in one day), things r hard for everyone right now so any amount go help makes me feel very fortunate n we’ll make it work no matter what so I don’t want to put pressure on people to contribute. but gonna circulate this one more time just in case anyone wants to throw anything else in while we’re in the main financial splurge

the first small hatch didn’t have a very good success rate - this round of hatching has yielded much more robust, curious, lively little dudes in a whole assortment of colors :) so excited about them all

today the neighbor’s dog charged the fence and managed to bite my landlady’s dog’s muzzle, and apparently he straight up said his dog has killed other dogs before…. yeah I need to get my sweet gentle girl out of here. also it’s FOUR other neighbors he’s lived by that are going to court to get protection orders again him!!!!

packed up a few boxes today and got all the scrap wood that’s gonna be trash loaded up into the tractor cart, wahoo (it’s way out back so it’s kind of a pain to deal with). moving is a pain and so overwhelming and getting the animals moved and re-set up will def be the worst of it but it feels good to have a start.

I feel like non farm ppl think I’m exaggerating the fact that I can’t leave the farm that much during baby season but I literally have 3 seperate brooders set up right now and am constantly monitoring babies and making sure they can eat and drink and not get murdered by errant wildlife and/or dogs. I have birds that need to be taught how to eat .
