My first ever set of notes for grad school. It's been a while since I've taken traditional notes, so I got to totally revamp my system.
I only have three classes a semester, which means I'll probably be looking for a second part-time job in the next few weeks (fingers crossed to get a TA position on campus!) but me and my printer are both dead on our feet. Me from the heat, and my printer from having to print out two entire textbooks since I hate e-textbooks with a burning passion.
BUT!
my professors are fantastic and passionate and grad school is much more chill than I thought it would be or was hoping it would be, in all honesty. I don't have any tests or exams at all, which isn't something that I'm used to. I'm not sure how to gauge my own understanding without tests, so I think there will be many office hours in my future :D

Hello, studyblrs!
This is kind of my first foray into study-based social media, but I'm a long-time avid admirer!
I decided to start this studyblr because I'm starting grad school (master's in early childhood education), and frankly, it's a little nerve wracking. I want to use this fresh start as a way to really get back into the enjoyment of studying I used to have before I really burnt myself out in undergrad! I also feel like this account and posting regularly might help me stay on track and focused on my courses and my grades (grad school is intense! I can't dip below a B in any class or else I fail out of the program, yeesh.)
I graduated from my undergrad in December off 2023, and with a good break, I feel really excited to start back at a brand new school.
A little bit about me:
Aries, INFP, ambivert
I'm a 23 year old grad student earning my master's in early childhood education in the U.S.
I earned my bachelor's degree in history!
I love books and fashion, and cooking and baking brings me so much joy.
I'm engaged and planning a wedding for November 2025!
I've been working with kids for 9 years (10 next summer!) and it truly is one of my greatest passions. My dream is to one day become a policymaker and help create national in-school programs for at-risk students and eventually assist in ending the school-to-prison pipeline.
Eventually, I would also like to earn a second master's degree in education policy, and a Psy.D (doctorate of psychology) in clinical child psychology.
I'm going to try posting once every day/study session I have, and see how accountable it keeps me!
Thanks for being a community I finally get to enjoy <3
~Bee
