jo wilson was a girl who worked hard, and even though she didn’t have enough money for med school and became a dancer instead of a surgeon, she never stopped working hard. still, today she felt not tough, today she had to deal with her car getting towed, and losing her keys, and falling in the middle of a combo, and- jo let out and audible sigh. everything that could go wrong today had, and so as she sat alone in the bar, she hoped that maybe one thing today, would go right.

trevor knew that this wasn’t just.. a second opportunity - it was.. everything. not that he hadn’t loved being in redwood, not that it hadn’t been the place where he had been happiest in the world, but.. this was a second chance. he wouldn’t have wanted to be here if montana wasn’t here either, but.. she was and that was all that mattered. he had been late, he had been late to change that she had been hurt, but.. he could keep it from happening ever again. lost in thoughts, trevor’s hand traveled up and down his coffee mug, as he leaned back against the booth. at least, they weren’t dead and.. at least, margaret wasn’t here. this was something he could live with, that was for sure. when someone spoke, trevor looked up. “i’m sorry, did you say something? i was distracted but.. feel free to take a seat, if that’s what you want. i’m not waiting for anyone or anything, just taking a break from work.”

piper wasn’t used to people being in the club this early, but the investors had insisted she be open for a few hours before the actual club hours, so now she was watching this man stare at his coffee cup while she tried to go over purchase reports, but she needed to be alone for this so rather than freezing him, she decided to approach. “i was just asking if you wanted some more coffee.”
