Lee had stopped walking, but quickly catched up with Gaara, now walking next to him again. He had to keep his cool. He was gonna weird the other out with his blush, he thought.

Honestly, it felt like Lee couldn’t think straight after that love interest subject, he wasn’t really thinking before speaking at the moment.

Gaara quickly got to an agreement with himself and concluded that he wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, he was far too used to Lee being oblivious to the need of taking care of himself.

Lee let out another ‘oh’, this time more soft. He proceeded to let out a forced chuckle. Someone else. Right. The male wish he could tell the other what wasn’t correct about that comment, but he couldn’t, could he?

Rock Lee would nod his head in response. He secretly wished he would be able to talk more to the Kazekage, but alas, they lived in two different villages, and their statuses were quite different as well.

‘‘ Yeah! I hope this isn’t too..personal for you, Gaara. If so, then you don’t have to respond! Not at all! But- I was wondering if you’ve ever been so interested in a person that you might consider it as a crush? Or maybe even more than a crush? ‘‘

Lee crossed his arms, letting out a soft hum before nodding his head to himself. Gaara’s just a bit oblivious when it comes to these kind of things, is all. Nothing wrong with that.

“Actually! He’s- he’s quite an impressive person. Throughout the years he has changed a lot and has truly shown that he’s a good person. It’s a wonderful sight, really.”

Lee paused, hesitating to drop yet another hint.

“He’s from another village though, although that doesn’t change the fact that my feelings are very strong for him!”

“I want to, I do!” Lee hummed at the thought. Was there something he could do now? How was he gonna drop hints anyway? Was he gonna have to...flirt?!

Rock Lee squinted his eyes just a little bit at the thought, clearing his throat. Once again, he would automatically follow Gaara.

“Hmm. Actually, Gaara. It’s someone you know.”

That’s a start, maybe not a very obvious hint, though. But Lee had to build up his confidence to be more obvious, step by step.

How unfortunate, he let go of him. The touch was somewhat comforting to Lee. When Gaara asked that question, it seems like Lee didn’t even hesitate or think twice to answer.

“Absolutely!” A somewhat peaceful smile grew onto his face. Lee couldn’t help but to stare at the other as if he was looking at the most valuable thing in the world. “They are very precious to me. I do hope they realize that.”

“ The only thing that is stopping me from doing anything is because I have no clue if the feeling is mutual. “

He let out a somewhat soft chuckle, now nervously folding his hands together. Was he gonna drop hints? The urge was certainly there.
