Every time I have gone to Starbucks this year to orde a latte, it has taken them upwards of 10 minutes for my drink to be made. I've been told the baristas have to prioritize UberEats and Mobile orders, etc, before clients physically in the store. That if you order a drink, and then get an UberEats order AFTER you order, they make the UberEats order first. This is not the fault of the Baristas, but the corporation behind this. Tim Hortons has a similar issue with drive thru over walk-ins with ONE person handling cash, and coffee to the point where you're waiting 10+ minutes just to move 1 spot forward in the line. Well, there are plenty of other local and national chains providing the same service, and I will be going to them instead.

Ottawa Bike Cafe on Sparks Street Ottawa summer 2022.
Not only did this iced chai take under 5 minutes to prepare (whereas the same drink at Starbucks would take 15-20 minutes), but it was also cheaper.
This place is also licensed and has craft beer (whitewater brewing company) and cider.
They also had an open mic night going on.
And on top of all that, they fix and sell bikes.

First Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season, purchased from Ottawa chain Bridgehead.
I placed my order, then proceded to text a friend while I was waiting. Before I was even finished writing my text message, my latte had been made.
Not to mention the coffee is roasted locally and therefore fresher than Starbucks.
