small theory (im probably looking too into it)

SPOILERS AHEAD!! so we all know how dreamworks decided to hate benrius in s5, with a total of 1 minute of screentime in THE WHOLE 12 EPISODES, 0 shoulder touched, 0 personal hugs (1 with the group) and just barely 4 interactions, so i think i might have a theory on exactly why they did what they did, with the only mlm ship in the show

so, we all know by this point in the season, ben has been working on himself, and his feelings etc, we also know he has experience with romantic feelings toward someone, (i think??)

but darius hasn't had a single moment to talk about how he himself feels about everything and everyone which is probably in this case, the reason he's distanced himself from ben specifically, he doesn't know why he's feeling these things for him, so he does the only bisexual move ever and try and distance himself, afraid of how it might affect their friendship if the truth spilled

and decides to spend his missions, with none other than brooklynn!! a girl! obviously he didn't use yaz or sammy as his cover up because at this point, who didn't know about their crushes on each other? (that was out of nowhere but yk), so he used brooklynn as his cover up for his feelings on ben, who had recently broken up-ish with her boyfriend, explains why ben was confused in most scenes and always tried to keep darius with interacting w him, as you see he was pretty upset/jealous when darius' full attention was turned to only brooklynn, and was probably even more upset about how darius claimed kenji as his best friend even though its obvious from other seasons that it was ben instead of kenji,

again its just a theory 99% chance its not even true but lmao

genuine opinion about jwcc season 5

soooo, im assuming we all saw jwcc s5.. if not then SPOILERS AHEAD!!..

im honestly pretty disappointed, benrius was thrown completely aside and ben's character was barely explored like most characters, like he just went from germaphobe to island man but never further than looks??

also was pretty disappointed with the role brooklynn played, i also think it would have made more sense if BENRIUS was canon instead of yasammy, dont get me wrong i like yasammy but their friendship was pretty much platonic, i mean ya they were fruity but i feel like benrius had more chemistry

(before you say anything at all, darius was literally confirmed 13)

like they said "ily" to eachother before any of the canon couple, just to be thrown aside?? tf

i pretty much give this season a

6.1/10 (for deaths and jp/jw storylines)

and for romance i give 4/10

and in general its 4.3/10 ig

hated how not only ben, but also dave roxie and brandon were pretty much useless this season, hated the fact that dinostar was getting moments while ben was always thrown with yaz and sammy, its like they purposely split them, the moments they had were barely there

and i thought darius was "protective" over ben?? like tf where did that go? he completely forgot abt ben, and it was pretty obvious ben was jealous of brooklynn, maybe this review will change if we get a spinoff or a possible season 6 (50%) chance if we do, i would understand benrius' separation, but at the moment its pretty unclear, instead of answering our question it just gave us more.
