SPOILERS AHEAD!! so we all know how dreamworks decided to hate benrius in s5, with a total of 1 minute of screentime in THE WHOLE 12 EPISODES, 0 shoulder touched, 0 personal hugs (1 with the group) and just barely 4 interactions, so i think i might have a theory on exactly why they did what they did, with the only mlm ship in the show

so, we all know by this point in the season, ben has been working on himself, and his feelings etc, we also know he has experience with romantic feelings toward someone, (i think??)

but darius hasn't had a single moment to talk about how he himself feels about everything and everyone which is probably in this case, the reason he's distanced himself from ben specifically, he doesn't know why he's feeling these things for him, so he does the only bisexual move ever and try and distance himself, afraid of how it might affect their friendship if the truth spilled

and decides to spend his missions, with none other than brooklynn!! a girl! obviously he didn't use yaz or sammy as his cover up because at this point, who didn't know about their crushes on each other? (that was out of nowhere but yk), so he used brooklynn as his cover up for his feelings on ben, who had recently broken up-ish with her boyfriend, explains why ben was confused in most scenes and always tried to keep darius with interacting w him, as you see he was pretty upset/jealous when darius' full attention was turned to only brooklynn, and was probably even more upset about how darius claimed kenji as his best friend even though its obvious from other seasons that it was ben instead of kenji,

again its just a theory 99% chance its not even true but lmao

You can’t tell me that the writers of seasons 1 to 3 (maybe 4) are the same writers that wrote season 5. Or they used drugs or something.

OMG I JUST REALIZED the reason Darius and Ben weren't as close as they were in s3 and s4 in s5 was because they needed Ben to say that bumpy was his best friend instead of Darius because ig they can only handle a little gay at a time

Ben and darius are the same age and rly support each othr idk most of the earlier seasons were ben either being scared and using kenji as a meat shield or ben being an ass 2 everyone including kenji they rly didn't havr much chemistry in tht way??

but while Ben was being an asshole and struggling 2 like.get a grip and find himself he didn't open up 2 any1 but he opened up 2 darius and ONLY darius out of the whole squad and darius totally understands him and supports him + I think they share a special love for dinosaurs that the other kids don't really understand
