some times I feel like I’ve died at some point and my spirit just repossessed my body, and that in some ways feel like my body is rotting around me as I possess it. this has led to to relating to kintypes that involve death and being undead. I know these feelings probably have to do with my depression and other mental illnesses, but sometimes it’s a little comforting to seek out the experiences of people who embrace these feelings.

todayyys zombie vibe (tm) is finding the blog of an ex friend and mourning the life you used to have. i miss them. i miss them even though i know that i hurt them time and time again. it was my own fault, my own anger, and i know that. i won't ask for forgiveness. all i can do is leave them alone and hope that they've moved on easier than i have.

being a zombie is staggering home after work because you've been standing for too long and everything below your mid-thigh is just hurting and getting into that dead headspace where you just stare straight ahead and stumble forward with your mouth hanging open

the smell of damp earth after a thunderstorm and the smell of rotting moss. old horror movies, a vintage t-shirt with a faded print, a table filled with coffee cups. an old wooden house with rotten planks, which is about to finally fall apart. derealization in space, empty gaze and loss of control over emotions. night walks through empty city streets to the sounds of old lanterns or among the trees of the forest to the noise of foliage and branches. a feeling of inner emptiness that nothing can fill.

Nonhuman drama is so boring compared to what we COULD have. We should make up the drama our species would have on Tumblr. I wanna read a post from a dragon about how assigning greed to their species just for hoarding things is anti-dragon. I wanna hear what birds think about animals that can't fly. I wanna read a callout post about predators co-written by multiple prey species and a second callout post from the predators' perspective.

therianthropy especially is so much nicer of a concept when you make it your own instead of getting involved in the maze of what others or even most people consider it to be.

Fuck discourse, grab a concept and make it your own.

it shouldn't matter at all what others consider "valid" or "fake"; how one should act, conceptualise the identity and what opinions on humanity one should have to be considered a "good member". Concepts such as psychological vs spiritual origins, or past lives should be conclusions you come to on your own, not options on a table.

Ditching popular interpretations of your nonhumanity, particularly on the non-physical side of nonhuman identities (so therians otherkin and such) will make it so much dearer for you.

The way i relate to therianthropy now is quite far to the modern concept of it; i made it my own at 12 and it stayed that way. I'm in no way physically human to begin with, and never have. I don't care much about what therianthropy is in the popular sense. Make the things you care about your own.

No identity is somehow "more good" than others. Being zombiekin is just as important and valid as a being wolf therian. Being a roach is just as integral to someone's identity as being a fox is to another. Someone who's kin with an entire family of animals for spiritual reasons is just as much something to be celebrated as someone who's a psychological alienkin.

We are all tied together through these integral pieces of our identities being "other".

I used to frequent therian instagram years ago, and something that became more and more prevalent was infighting about what it means to be a therian. Call out posts targetting someone who was "clearly faking" because they had more than 3 theriotypes. Policing what people can or can't identify as and judging them if they hadn't done a month of "research" before identifying as it.

Now, with our community becoming more open and visible to the outside, it saddens me that I still see that judgment. I agree that therianthropy is not just wearing a mask and posting videos of yourself doing quadrobics on tik tok, but most of the ones who are doing that are kids who are just discovering themselves, just like we used to be. Besides, don't we get enough hate from outside our community? Why do we want to circulate more?

At the end of the day, if non-humans don't look out for each other, then who will?
