one of my coworkers, who i've always kinda seen as very chill and considerate, had been like... dudeing and broing me for months while still clearly seeing me as a woman and i never really said anything because... well, we're not friends, just coworkers. and honestly i really didn't think i minded it! she was hitting other women at work with it too, it really wasn't targeted. the other day she exclusively hit me with "girl" etc and i had no idea how much joy id get from someone i don't even really know saying stuff like that. i have no real idea why she swapped either, i never said anything and i've been presenting fem at this job since i started it.

you really should, in fact, say girl. she might not even know what it means to her yet.

Even if your transfem friends say they’re fine with being called bro they’d probably still prefer being adressed using feminine language. They might be afraid to tell you. Just call her girl.
