I so desperately want to be able to convince Trump supporters with facts and logic and empathy, but it’s so important to remember that their ignorance is INTENTIONAL. my mom didn’t let us watch Sleeping Beauty growing up. I asked her why recently and she said, “it was evil.” when I pointed out other movies had similar themes and depictions of evil, and asked what the difference was, she couldn’t. I pressed one more time and she just said, “it felt evil to me. I didn’t like it”. same thing with dune 2: she said it was “dark”, and I was, “literally, like the movie’s lighting? Or the themes?” and she said “I don’t know” and didn’t want to talk about it more. many conservatives genuinely cannot tell the difference between “I don’t like it” and “this is evil” and they do not care to learn despite many chances

Mmmmm I think a lot of the discussion around "should trans men be in women's spaces/have access to women's resources" are missing a factor in that, if coming out as a trans man means losing access to those things, it could be pretty fucking dangerous, because A lot of the resources there just don't exist outside those spaces, and if they do, there's a lot less to go around. I mean like, overall, there are tons more charities and organizations focusing on grants/scholarships/job fairs/emergency housing/etc etc opportunities for women than for men. Because usually men aren't the ones needing it! But there are also more for women than LGBT as a whole.

But it leaves trans men in a grey area of "stay in the closet (or god forbid detransition) and get help, or come out and lose all your help." It functions as a punishment, unintentional or not, for coming out. And this is what people are talking about when we say transmasc invisibility kills.

Daily reminder after rewatching that Prime Defenders and Riptide crossover one-shot that there is only like a two year age gap between Dakota Cole, the 17 year old teenage superhero full of joy and whimsy and chip bastard, the 19 year old pirate orphan who wears a bandana to appear older than he is to pretend to be fully grown and is described as looking haunted and cursed

That also means there is a year or less between chip and the other PD members
