Beautiful environment and interior is so important for the human mind. If you live in an apartment filled with gaming chairs and Ikea tables and videogame masks and figures it melts your brain

A secret to happiness is letting every situation be what it is, instead of what you think it should be, and then making the best of it.

“In order to be free you simply have to be so, without asking permission of anybody. You have to have your own hypothesis about what you are called to do, and follow it, not giving in to circumstances or complying with them. But that sort of freedom demands powerful inner resources, a high degree of self-awareness, a consciousness of your responsibility to yourself and therefore to other people.”
Andrei Tarkovsky, from “The artist’s responsibility,” Sculpting in Time, trans. Kitty Hunter-Blair (University of Texas Press, 1987)

you’ll find new people to have deep conversations with. you’ll find a new place to feel at home in. you’ll find a reason to be genuinely excited to wake up in the morning. you’ll find someone who will reinvent your tainted version of love. you’ll find a way to reconceptualise your feelings and turn to healthy ways to cope. you’ll find a way to reach your goal and improve yourself. you’ll find a way to live every day with inner peace and appreciation for everything you have.

kitchen ghost
i think your ghost
lives in my kitchen
it sits beside me
at dinner and laughs
at the jokes my mum
doesn’t like
adds salt to the food
because you were
always better at
flavours than me
and i think your ghost
misses the times
we would make
cookies and burn them
i am dancing in the
kitchen
the neighbors can’t
see anyone
but me
and yet
i feel
your hand
in mine
i think
your ghost
lives in
my kitchen.

I love euphoria and relate to Rue not in the drug way, but in the wanting to die way and find different ways to neglect self. It made me stop smoking too tho 😭

my parents divorce has got me thinking a lot about how theres no force out there assuring everybody gets their happy ending. my parents spent 30 years together and as far as i can tell it was never as good as love should be and nothing stopped them from making that choice. theres no force in the world stopping you from throwing away your life. very few choices ruin your whole life at once (i mean. like. doing a murder and getting caught. for example) but if you just keep choosing the path of unhappiness no one stops you. you can keep doing that as long as you like

There's Desire there, lingering quietly in the background waiting for the light to grab her hand. Desire only wants things she can't have, things that are too far out of her reach, dreams too big, laughs too loud, and ponytails that swing from side to side. But she's always there, dancing, twirling, and watching my life pass me by. Desire waits for her moments to teach me lessons when I most need them, to reach past the walls I built around my heart. Most days though, she's napping in the corner, dreaming of the things she knows I want the most. And I'll take care of her as long as I live, watching her sleep, watching her dance, waiting for her words to spark enough inspiration into my life, waiting for the light to take her hand.
