This is actually pretty hilarious. The fact that whatever ai was used CLEARLY wanted to make Lloyd look like Tom Holland but stopped at like 98% or something and made this uncanny face where it doesn’t even slightly resemble Lloyd (except for maybe the hair that kinda resembles his season 2 to 7 appearance) but also doesn’t really look like the main person it’s clearly trying to copy

Y’know in retrospect, why DID they decide to magically age up Lloyd instead of just doing a time skip? It’s not like there was a deadline for the supposed “final battle” between him and Garmadon. At the time they didn’t think the show would go on after season two so it’s not like they had to worry about making the other ninja “too old” or anything. I’d say it was for the drama of Lloyd sacrificing his childhood for his friends but the show never ended up exploring that (heck it still hasn’t been explored to this day). Like why even do the whole thing of aging him up immediately and not do anything with it? It just doesn’t make sense to me in hindsight

Inspired by This post I present to my au: Sora's Random Cool Uncle AU, or SRCU AU (I'm so funny laugh please-)

Yeah this is done in the LMK style (may or may not be warming it up for artfight but you don't know that-)

But yeah! this is my AU where Aaron Fox from Nexo Knights is Sora's ancestor and through shenanigans, ends up in Ninjago. I like to think that since Chima can be the Wyldness, Knighton can be an early Imperium.

Anyways this au is just mostly crack because I miss Nexo Knights and had the power to make this. I'll make more content of this when I have the will/chance.

I know this is just an Easter egg detail but I think it would be cool if this past elemental master of fire wielded the sword of fire at one point and made a replica later on because he liked the design. It might have been the origin point for masters of fire becoming blacksmiths by trade up until Kai himself.

Okay so I just had an idea for how I personally would do a potential live action Ninjago movie. This is also what I kinda hope for the inevitable live action movie to be like whenever it happens.

I think that the perfect way to do this is to just make a theatrical version of the original pilot. It was already a 40 minute special where I’m from and it worked well in that regard, so adding an extra 30 minutes to the story to focus on the other 3 ninja for a little could work. It also acts as a perfect entry point for any new fans it might attract to Ninjago as a whole. Sure, live action remakes of beloved animated stories leave a sour taste in the mouth nowadays because of Disney trying to milk its own IPs for nostalgia. But with how rough around the edges the original pilot was I can’t see it going anywhere but up in terms of quality. Honestly I don’t think there’s a possible “right way” to make a live action adaptation of ninjago but if I had to choose I’d go with this approach.

One problem I have with Dragons Rising is that the og ninja switch up uniforms too often while the new kids stay mostly the same.

Sora has had some alternate suits but goes back to her original look. Wyldfyre has had two designs but they’re very different from each other so it’s cool. Arin has switched around the most but his suits all look a little too similar. Frak has had two unique designs but only one of his four total show appearances will be available as a figure.

Meanwhile the old gang are slipping into their new colour coordinated ninja uniforms with only one or two of their suits actually serving a narrative purpose. Some suits look better than others but I think the only cool thing about these numerous suits is when a few of them where a different suit than the others because of mission requirements but they just don’t do that enough either.

Am I miss remembering something or was Pixal “moaning” a lot during her fight scenes? Like the guy in charge of the audio played the same 4 grunts by her VA whenever she was doing something mildly physical

I just realised something. In the final battle against the overlord Lloyd proudly proclaimed

“I AM THE ULTIMATE SPINJITZU MASTER”

And then proceeded to not use spinjitzu at all in the fight

I keep getting hit with déjà vu whenever I watch older anime dubs because Kirby Morrow just shows up in the most random of places, like I just found out he was in Gundam!? On 3 or so occasions voicing several different characters!?

Looking at his acting credits it’s kinda funny how he only did anime for a while and Ninjago was a kinda an exception for him at the time.
