Okay so….I saw these comments on YouTube and TikTok about the pink spider thing (It's not something recent, I've had this in mind for some time);

The comments be like : “Where’s the pink spider?”, "Does Michael fall in love with a pink spider", "Give him a pink spider wife/gf", "No, he needs a husband/bf" or something like that.

I wanna make an OC bc I liked the concept and the reference to another animated short (The Spider and The Butterfly by Dragonfoxgirl);

Although there must be OCs created with this concept by other people, I'm going to make my own version anyway.

For my concept, the spider will be genderfluid or something, so Michael gonna have a girlfriend/boyfriend/partner in one. Thoughts ?

Some analysis/background things I've noticed in Butterfly Business.

Michael has many postits all over. The one in the bathroom about the meeting is most noticeable, but he has some in his bedroom and others on the mirror too

The ones in the bathroom are reminding himself to be normal and not a freak. "Don't BUG out" "You are normal. Just be normal." "What the caterpillar calls the end the rest of the world calls A FREAK OF NATURE."

One of them is in Korean (I think) and seems to feature a phone number. Maybe someone who can read Korean could shed some light on what it says. A name maybe?

His excel sheet seems to have a poem or lyrics in it? Guessing this is not literal but symbolizes him being distracted

General theory:

Not sure if he's gone full butterfly before or not. The antennae definitely seem like something he's not phased by and the notes on the mirror imply he's aware that "butterfly person" is what he's turning into when this happens. If he has, I suspect it wasn't for very long and/or he did not allow himself to enjoy it.

I do think he can turn back, that the change isn't permanent, but who knows, maybe it is?
