Orginally from Hamburg, Jules was a merchant’s son. Was because his family thinks he was killed during the Great War. Jules makes no effort to debunk this myth, as he quickly figured out that he couldn’t and would never return to his old life after witnessing the horrors of the First World War. He moved around and finally settled in Paris, hoping that somehow he could make this his new home. He sketches frequently, putting down the nightmares he suffers from on paper (they have to go somewhere). In reality, he gets by doing odd jobs. He’ll take on whatever he can to make a living. Regarding the supernatural; he has absolutely no idea it exists. Any stories that may reach his ears are brushed off as being someone’s imagination going in overdrive. He doesn’t believe any of it. After all, if his own dreams and imagination can be so vivid, then why not someone else’s?
