When I was like eight I had a huge crush on the oldest son from Yours, Mine and Ours (the 1967 version), and when I started the West Wing I had a crush John Hoynes and then I looked at the actor’s IMDB and found out that they were the same person.
It all comes full fucking circle. When I was 8 I was lusting after 20 years old and now that I’m 17 I’m lusting after 65 year olds.
Full mother fucking circle, man.

I just want to be me - I just want to be useful and… content. I want to stop wondering if I’ll ever feel whole and just be whole. I want to have a purpose, one that I can look at without feeling I’m less than I was.

Loggins & Messina - Danny’s Song
Love the girl who holds the world in a paper cup.
Drink it up.
Love her and she’ll bring you luck.
And if you find she helps your mind, better take her home.
Don’t you live alone.
Try to earn what lovers own.
And even though we ain’t got money,
I’m so in love with you, honey,
And everything will bring a chain of love.
And in the morning, when I rise,
You bring a tear of joy to my eyes
And tell me everything is gonna be alright.

The real differences around the world today are not between Jews and Arabs, Protestants and Catholics; Muslims, Croats, and Serbs. The real differences are between those who embrace peace and those who would destroy it; between those who look to the future and those who cling to the past; between those who open their arms and those who are determined to clench their fists.
Bill Clinton, speech to US troops in Bosnia, December 1997. Very relevant today in 2017, twenty years later.
