GENTLE UPDATE.

sorry for the lack of activity, as of late. i mentioned it about a week or go, but i’m putting noctis on some kind of semi-hiatus. i might extend that a little, because my motivation to be here has just ... well, sorta plummeted. i still love noct & everyone here ( i know, gross ) but the fandom is a little overwhelming and i’m really not sure i can keep up. that, alongside my cloud blog is just ...  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

not sure if i want to try, y’know ? i’ll likely still pop in here -- & might find sporadic bursts of motivation, but this is just a forewarning for those waiting on replies, etc. i’m not just gonna up and leave the entire final fantasy rp scene. like i’ve said, i have got a cloud blog. ( cloud strife ; not a literal cloud ) and also have some sorta wip xv verse on the go for him.  tldr; basically if you need me i’ll likely be over on @ofbraver .

The sun's light lays gently across his cheek, pulling newborn stars to his skin's surface. It is a BLANKET, & Noct's shoulder is his pillow, providing comfort despite the stiffness in Prompto's spine. He yawns. " You gonna catch somethin, or what? "

    noctis isn’t going to be the one to tell him that prompto’s leaning against his arm does ( – partially ) hinder his ability to cast the line, nor is he openly willing to admit that, just maybe, he doesn’t mind. fingers idly tap against the rod – & greyish eyes flicker toward his side ; linger on prompto’s visage, albeit fleetingly. noctis steadily draws the line in ( knowing full-well nothing has bitten ) & feigns somewhat of an exasperated sigh.

    his gaze wavers across lake’s surface, appreciating how the sun casts a warm, glimmering blanket atop clear water. having another leant against his shoulder is still somewhat unfamiliar, but alas – more welcome than he’d expected. comforting, even. noctis eases, then ; slumps a little.  “ nah. nothing’s bitin’. ”  he lies. well … that particular line hadn’t caught anything. not entirely a lie, right ? all the same – he’s comfortable.

               ‘ I’M THINKIN’ ABOUT MOVIN’ LOCATIONS .   y’know ,  get a fresh change of scenery ! ‘    somewhere that isn’t  immediately  boarded by water and fish .   there’s no reason to stay stagnant in one spot ;  he’s a free man .   OUT WITH THE OLD .  IN WITH BETTER OPPORTUNITY !     starting up a business at a resort seems a terrible idea ;  somewhere more populated was his best chance .  lestallum was rumored to have some good deposit around it .     ‘          heard some good things ‘bout the place ,  but i wanted to get  HIS MAJESTY’S  opinion first . ‘  

    in retrospect, starting a business on a bench at some far-off resort doesn’t seem as though it’d be the most efficient course of action. who is he to judge, though ? peculiar still ; that he’s asking for noctis’ opinion. never seemed the type to care much about what other people have to say. then again -- he’d certainly proven them wrong, once already. with momentary contemplation, he lifts a hand. fingers deftly curl under his chin.  “ hmm ... it’s better than here, for sure. ”

         WARM WORDS surround him like a blanket. So rarely does the prince indulge in his gentler side, save for soft exchanges in the dark. Breathy murmurs BURIED ‘neath a nameless motel’s worn sheets, where they curl like kids once more. Prompto can just barely discern the part in the other’s lips in the blackness, but he is SURE the voice is Noctis’s. ( And he is SURE that his own glowing cheeks must illuminate their makeshift fort ). 

         He fumbles for a moment, bare fingers clambering for some semblance of NOCTIS, which he finds in the mess of the other’s hair. He is grinning like a fool when he tucks raven fringe aside and replies, 

                                                   “ Right back at’cha, buddy. ”
