Do you use narrative text differently between muses, or does your writing stay the same style for everybody?

this is actually one of my very very favorite things about rping and having a multimuse specifically! partially, i really enjoy writing internal monologue and thoughts, and different characters handle that differently.

for example, phainon is wordy and can lean almost purple prose unless he's Very beaten down. but a lot of it will also leak out into actual dialogue. meanwhile for xiao, he's very quiet, and his thoughts can get into a bit of a spiral but generally tends to be more observational/detail oriented and less introspective. for lighter, he is very introspective but less observational/and also Mostly quiet unless he's close with someone. anaxagoras is VERY observational and analytical, and writing her is oftentimes a lot like writing an essay or lab report lol.

there's definitely some level of consistency just by nature of i'm the guy writing, but it is something i think about a lot and try to tailor as i get a character's voice!

to elaborate on previous answer, my little moment of happy right now is one of our cats insisting on fetch and now sleeping in my office doorway. he is such a doofus and brings joy. secondarily, our newest little guy has been soooo snuggly and lovey today, and snuggled me through one of my meetings. also lunch snuggles from my special girl who insisted on Inside The Blanket Time

many people tbh! but in terms of writing, right Now, i'd say hideo kojima since I've been so deep in death stranding 2 lol. in terms of character writing, i think gillian flynn has been on my mind a lot lately! i love the way she entangles positive and negative qualities of her characters. also my friend i've been rping with on discord, bc they just have really fun grasp of character writing and it always makes me want to improve my own writing!

in character interpretation! if someone takes time to describe an expression/body language, i love when someone else really reacts to that - and not the internal thoughts with it. ie; character frowning and brow furrowed in conversation, other character thinks said character is irritated with them. it adds a level of personhood to interactions and natural messiness to relationships without feeling contrived. it's also an excellent vehicle for exploring characters who are getting to know each other vs know each other very well.

my friends, my cats, and being way too much of a nerd about video games. also generally writing and making art! life can be so much, but it's the little things i think.

my first and foremost favorite small detail is name usage. it's something i love using, and something i love seeing in my partners writing! it's certainly less big for certain characters, but it's one of my favorite little things!

for my own muses, it's probably at biggest use with childe. the way he thinks about/refers to himself is deeply tied to the name he uses. childe vs tartag vs ajax vs harbinger etc all have a different meaning. for anaxa, she will Exclusively refer to herself as anaxagoras. always. and the way she reacts to people calling her anaxa denotes a lot about their relationship. for wriothesley, his is primarily name vs duke/titling. and for phainon, there's a level of it that has a lot to do with his relationship with himself and his relationship with amphoreus. deliverer/hero/chrysos heir/phainon/any Other names to become relevant in the next 48 hours. he Also is very conscious about whether using lord/lady titling and whether he uses full name vs nickname (mydei/mydeimos, hyacine/hyacinthia, tribbie/tribios etc)

like it's a very minor thing but it's something i think about soooo so much with my muses. it's a small detail that can say a lot about relationships/sense of self/sense of place etc etc

Seth sits on the couch next to Asaba, face flushed as he stares at him. They decided to have a movie date - Seth tired from a long week and Asaba having a low energy day. Now, they're on Seth's couch after eating take out, movie long since becoming nothing more than background noise.

Asaba had leaned into him for a few kisses, pleased hums rumbling into Seth's lips. As heat ran through his veins, Seth stiffened up with a squeak, pulling away. Now, Asaba is leaned against the back of the couch, gazing at Seth with unconcealed want.

"R-Right. I know that." Seth's tail flicks behind him as he tries to rein in his hammering heart. Slowly, he reaches forward, until his hand rests on Asaba's waist, then the other joins it. After a moment, he uses the hold to lift him over into his lap. A shudder runs down his spine, and he gives in to his urge to press kisses along Asaba's neck, before nipping at his collarbone.

One thing to note for him, is that he's very very inclined towards pet names - specifically in bed. More often than not he prefers more formal terms of address, but in bed? Sweetheart, honey, baby, darling, you name it. He's also very into praising his partner - while it doesn't do nothing for him, it's part of doting for him. A lot of his sexual preferences come down to taking care of his partner - the man is a service top through and through. Depending on partner, he can lean towards or away from being in control, but so long as his partner is enjoying themself, he's happy.

Boothill

Sex for Boothill is... weird. Without his human functioning body, arousal isn't the same. He still has a sex drive to some degree, but he doesn't really experience it as a bodily sensation anymore. That being said!!! Redefining what sex is for him is a long process with any potential partner, but it's fun! It's a lot of figuring out what still makes pleasure spark in his brain. He ends up really enjoying performing oral on his partner, and I think could be into strap ons etc. For him, mostly he likes making out with his partner, and having his hair tugged/ears nipped at. His body doesn't generate pleasure the same way, but around his head/neck the nerve endings are the same as they ever were.

Wriothesley

Of these three, he's definitely the kinkiest lol. He's also very much a 'will try anything once' type of guy. If his partner is into it, he'll almost always give it a shot. Worst case, they discover it isn't for them. Best case, new thing to play with! He has a weakness for brat taming (staring at @somairle). Very much a dom-leaning switch, and generally prefers topping, but will bottom for the right partner as a treat. No matter what, he's very bitey/mouthy during sex. He likes leaving marks and he likes talking dirty. Anything else can be woven in with those. If you let him have his way with no restrictions, you will come out looking like you got mauled by a bear but had a good time during it. Also, for how much he likes to get his mouth all over his partner, he's very take it or leave it re: performing oral. He doesn't dislike it, but it's not at the top of his list. Partially because the teeth have to go away for it, typically.

Days outside the city gate aren't rare, but at least uncommon. What is rare, however, is taking them alone. Typically, he has Mydei at his side, and if not him, Lady Tribbie or Lady Castorice is in tow. Today, though, everyone is seemingly busy.

He wanders almost aimlessly, enjoying Kephale's blessed sunlight on his skin and the smell of the flowers.

The wind, however, is being... less cooperative. What had previously been a gentle breeze was picking up, or well, some of it. Seemingly just around him. A frown tugs at his lips as his hair whips around, sticking up in too many different directions. Not to mention the odd sounds floating along the wind.

If he didn't know better, he'd say it was a Titan's song.

Still, bitter and stubbornly, he tries to fix his hair. And again. And one more time.

"Do you have it out for me?" He grumbles against sense, as if the wind is sentient and choosing to target him.
