RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: I delivered some letters to different classes at school that one time. I also had some experience going from place to place. (I can also show you my criminal history if needed.) 

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?:

Susie had an idea of me being a delivery person. I agreed to it because I need a job. I also thought that showing people that I’m a nice friendly dragon will lessen any dragon stigmas. 

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?:

I would stay calm and try to not make a big scene. I would gently ask the customer what we could do to make them happy. If they are still mad or their offer is unreasonable I would leave with the food. Since I seem to have a size advantage here, you don’t need to worry much about me being harmed.

Wait a minute. Cricket is just six? Should Susie be worried about child labor laws?

That’s probably older in dragon years, she thinks to herself, then looks over the rest of the application.

“I would like to look at that criminal record, but this seems to be on the up and up, Ms. Cricket. With your help, I’m sure we can destigmatize dragons in the workplace.”

In other words, application approved! “Welcome to the team, Ms. Cricket! Now, will you be needing a work uniform, or...” She’ll figure out something for her soon.

Now that Susie has her Transporter back, it’s time to put it to good use: namely, by flying over Archimedes Ward and dropping flyers for her cafe.

She can’t drop them across the whole district, of course — it’s only one small machine, after all — but by pinpointing areas with the highest traffic, she’s certain that she can boost her sales.

Batabatabata go the blades of her propeller as she sails above the Star Trail stalls. While some might be here for the “You Bake It, You Buy It” competition, Susie has another idea in mind.

With her free hand, she reaches into her pack and drops down papers that fall like snowflakes from above… but that’s because they’re shaped like snowflakes and the material is paper-thin.

While they say every snowflake is different and unique (her employees’ varying level of craftsmanship is a testament to that), the text on each flyer is more or less the same, and it goes a little something like this:

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?: Susie reccomended the place to me, and it seemed like a nice opportunity to get myself moving again. I like the place!

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: Gotta keep your cool even if they’re really annoying. and be polite still. maybe get the manager.

Who the heck is Michael Carter? Oh wait, that’s a nickname. Susie keeps reading. Mariko isn’t here to field this one, so it’s up to Susie to interview him.

“This all seems to check out, Mr. Boost. I look forward to seeing you behind the counter.”

“Is there a name you’d prefer on the business card?” She’ll have it printed in due time.

NAME: Selenie Armour

AGE: 45 (has the physical status of a 30-year-old member of her species)

POSITION DESIRED: Cook

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME: Full-time 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: She’s worked at the cafe before, and during all of her years of adventuring (at least a good 15-20+ years), she cooked all of her own meals from ingredients she gathered herself.

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?: “It’ll be nice to get back to working here again. Also, I love to cook, and people have liked what I’ve made in the past. I’d love to bring it back to them.”

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: “Well, since I’d be in the back most of the time, I likely wouldn’t be dealing with customers face-to-face, but if it came down to it, I’d hear them out. If it was a genuine screw-up on my part, I’d say sorry and try to make up for it, but otherwise, I’d probably just turn it over to one of the managers and go back to work.”

She feels honestly bad that she doesn’t remember her, but hey! If she thinks of this on a positive note, it’ll give her a chance to GET to know Selenie again! ISN’T THAT GREAT!? “I would love for you to work here with us again! Thank you for showing your interest in coming back! Welcome to Pandora Cafe, Miss Selenie Armour!”

NAME: Nanami Yasuri

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME: Part-time

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: I’ve learned how to brew many varieties of tea since I was 8 years old. I’ve never had or made coffee before, but I don’t mind learning how to do so.

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?: For the funds, really. I’ve also never had a job before and would like to see what it feels like. It will be a new experience.

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: I would dissuade their rude behavior with my firm words before finding out what the problem is. I also don’t mind kicking them out the door.

“Ah! Mss Nanami I would be honored to show you how to make coffee and I’m sure the employees here would love to help you as well! Thank you so much for showing interest in working with us here at Pandora cafe! WE look forward to working with you, ma’am!”

“Your cards came in the mail, Mr. Link! Thank you again for your continued service.” Even if he struggled with knowing which way to open up a door.

    NAME: Red Link     AGE: For application purposes, 16     POSITION DESIRED: Cook and/or Barista     PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME: I’ll work whatever hours you give me, I have nothing else on my schedule     RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: I make baked goods at home regularly, and people seem to like them! I prepared the food and beverages for my teammates back in Hyrule. Also, I pick up new skills fairly easily, so it shouldn’t be too hard to train me for the things I might not know.     INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?: I enjoy cooking and baking, so this job seems perfect for me! Then I would get to do it all the time! And people would actually buy what I make instead of me having to chase people down on the street (or wander into houses) to offer them things!     INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: I deal with an angry Vaati near-constantly. Customers won’t be a problem! I would listen to what they had an issue with, and solve it as best as I can! If the situation escalated I would probably ask for help from a manager, but either way I would do my best to remain friendly the entire time. I’ve been told I’m really good at talking people down, so even if I was unable to help, I’d at least be able to get the customer to a point of not being too upset.

For application purposes? Susie’s not sure if she should ask for an ID or not.

... Eh, it’s Spirale. Plus, how can she pass up an employee who asks for “whatever hours you give me”?

“Well, your cookies were exceptionally good for someone who happened to walk into my house. I’ll put you down as a cook for now, but you’re welcome to work the coffee machine!”

The form gets the ol’ “Application approved” stamp, which comes with a picture of Susie’s winking face.

“Good news, everyone!” Everyone, in this case, being the employees of Pandora Cafe. “I’ve taken the liberty of printing business cards for you all. Be sure that you give them to everyone you meet!”

“These are for you, Ms. Oliveira. Thank you for looking these over for me.” If it weren’t for her, she’d honestly doubt that this whole group would be here today. @gentlelxllaby​

“For you, Ms. Heartfilia. I hope this job is able to be a dream come true!” Almost like a... fairy tale? Alright, she may be pushing it there. @spiritgates

“Here are your cards, Mr. Anchors. Will Gyoro and Ururun need their own?” Wait. That could mean there’d be two more on payroll. “Actually, I think I think you can divvy these up.” @leafslash

“The printer had an issue with this one, Mr. G, but I had a feeling that you wouldn’t mind.” Coincidentally or not, it matched their complexion. Some might say it’s intentional? @goobuster​

NAME: Lucy Heartfilia.

AGE: Seventeen.

POSITION DESIRED: Cashier, Barista — whichever one you need most!

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME: Part-time, if possible.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Well, I’ve worked at a cafe or two over the past couple years — and I’ve always been pretty solid at math! You won’t find anyone better with customer service! 

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?: Honestly? I… Really need the money. And I like working with people, so this seemed like a good fit—!

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: Well, that depends on why they’re angry, right ?  Sometimes all people need is a little patience and to know they’re being heard — especially a customer. If they get too unreasonable, though, that’s when I’d get the manager. I don’t need to dig myself in a hole and make things worse. 

Another form sent, another form stamped with her signature bright pink “Application approved!” and a picture of her winking face. Who knew finding people would be such a breeze?

“Welcome to the team, Ms. Heartfilia. I’ve put you down as ‘cashier’ for now, but if you’d like to help run the coffee machine, you’re welcome to do so!” Means less work for her!

AGE: 21

POSITION DESIRED:  Chef

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME:  Full time

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:  “I’ve been cooking for as long as I can remember. I could work with any recipe, really, if you needed me to.”

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?:  “It’d be nice to make a living from something I enjoy doing, or… that’s what I think, anyway. I won’t lie, I need the job, but cooking is a favorite pastime of mine. It’d be a good change of pace for me.”

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?:  “Being patient and polite is important in situations like that. Understanding is key, too. If need be, I’d find a manager.”

After looking over the form and conducting a cursory interview with him, Susie nods her head and stamps the paper with an “Application approved!” and her winking face.

“This all seems on the up and up, Mr. Anchors. Welcome to Pandora Cafe!”

“... Those dragons won’t be an issue, will they?” There was a draconic chef working here before, but, ah—

NAME: It’s Susie, of course! But you know that by now. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten already, Mariko!

AGE: I kind of lost track in another dimension… so we’ll just say “young adult,” I suppose.

POSITION DESIRED: Manager!

PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME: Part-time. On-call, if that works for you. My schedule is pretty busy these days…

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: As you know, I was once the executive assistant to a very powerful company. Managing orders and staff members alike were among my top priorities.

And I happened to work at the space center once. Not to mention I’ve literally been in your shoes! If anything, I would almost say that I'm overqualified for this job?

INTERVIEW Q1 - Why do you want to work here?: You may not be an ice cream vendor, but you’re still my favorite stop in town. And besides that, Ms. Oliveira… We’re friends! I’d love to work more with you more if I can.

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: Complaints can filed with our customer service department, where they can read and discarded with ease. Either that, or I may have no choice but to contact the local authorities…

“I didn’t expect to find you here, Gooigi. I have to say, it’s, um. A pleasant surprise!” She really, really hopes they aren’t some kind of secret agent slime.

“I’m not sure what ‘I am a coffee’ means,” she’ll ask about that later, she thinks, “but as long as you can handle the machine without absorbing it into your skin, I think you’re going to fit right in. And I’ll tell you all about customer service!”

Susie takes out a big rubber stamp and stamps Gooigi’s form with it. It reads “Application approved!” in bright pink letters and has a picture of Susie winking.

“Welcome to the team, Mr. G! (Now, are you going to need an apron, or...)”

She’ll probably figure something out. She is a scientist, after all.

INTERVIEW Q2 - How would you handle an angry customer?: For the most part, Selenie would likely just simply direct them towards a manager or someone of similar power if they confronted her directly. When cooking, Selenie tends to be very calm. She can’t imagine her having to deal with angry customers directly as a chef in the kitchen. 

“Everyone, please welcome our new employee Selenie. Selenie will be working alongside Arata and Mika as our cook. Let us take some time today and show her around the cafe.”

“I also have some sad news. Our manager Reim Lunettes has left the city. Knowing Mr. Reim, he is making valuable contributions back home. “It is the season….for Jantabread cookies.” Echo pulls out a tray of bear-shaped gingerbread cookies. It is her original creation, cut in the form of a doll she once owned. Their frosted faces even wore the same droopy expression that was Janta’s trademark. For the rest of the month, the cookies would be seasonal desserts sold at Pandora Cafe.

“I baked some extra Jantabread cookies for everyone.” Echo gestures to the stack of gift-wrapped boxes on the counter, four in total. One for each hard-working employee. “Please take a box home, and happy holidays.”
