going back to the original, minimalist bullet journal method is probably the best thing that’s happened to my mental health lol. i was breaking my back over spreads that i was only using for a week and it was simply not sustainable. i had to remind myself that not everything needs to be perfect and aesthetic, especially when doing so jeopardizes my organization.

currently working on my personal statement for law school applications. does anyone else have a really hard time writing about themselves? it’s been so difficult to highlight my academic strengths while also telling a narrative about my life. i’m proud of myself for making progress today at least!

side note: I’m trying to actually stick with bullet journaling this year. here’s my opening spread for 2022, based on hayao miyazaki’s drawing for the year of the tiger 🧡

I both love and hate that the pandemic has only encouraged this side of me that only wants to wear comfy and fuzzy clothes to the point where I started to look like the grumpy version of the cookie monster because I refuse to wear something else.

Today was actually pretty productive! I finished catching up on my nanotechnology lectures, I started some of my SMBH coursework, and I did some coding for my masters project! Hopefully this evening I will email some supervisors, but who knows!

the faculty has announced the cancellation of all in person activities, including our weekly in person classes because of the third wave that’s happening right now. it’s definitely tough to hear because that means i’ll be isolated from everybody, but i’m trying to look at it positively; one day i’ll miss all this alone time LOL  but my friend brought me some viet iced coffee and ofc, school trudges on so i’m going to keep at it and cope w/ everything as best as i can
