A Short Post on Short Stories

Recently, my 6th short story was accepted for publication in an upcoming anthology. Sound’s pretty good, right? Well, that’s 6 stories out of 37 that I’ve written. Still, one in six? Well, I had a simple goal. A chapter a month, and apparently, that was too complicated. In fairness to past-me, I was pretty sure that I wrote a February post and was as surprised as anyone when I came here to write it. January 2025

After noticing how rarely I updated this blog last year I told myself I would update it at least monthly this year. There’s still time to make that a true statement! (barely.) This Treant is a real treat. There is literally a ridiculous amount of detail. Under every leaf is another leaf, and behind every vine is another mushroom or bit of wood grain just crying out to be highlighted.
