özgecan aslan, a 20 yo. psychology student in mersin, turkey was brutally murdered by a man who attempted to rape her. she tried to protect herself. then she was stabbed by the guy and he struck her head with an iron bar. he cut her hands off and burnt them ” so the police wouldn’t find his dna”, because özgecan scratched his face. her murderer, his father and his friend took her dead body to a riverbed and left her there.
now, tumblr. we don’t forget leelah, we don’t forget mike brown, we don’t forget eric garner. and that i wish from you guys is that you please don’t forget özgecan aslan. because she is not the only one, özgecan isn’t the only woman who suffered. many others did so before, many others still do, and if nothing is done against it, many others will follow.
don’t forget özgecan. and don’t forget her parents.
