My entry for the Julia Usher 3D cookie competition at That Takes The Cake Show 2020 in Round Rock, Texas this past weekend. It is all edible, no internal supports used. Here are some work-in-progress and detailed shots of our finale piece for Holiday Gingerbread Showdown. This by far was the most grueling and draining competition that I have participated in. Although, I would have loved a win- maybe I didn’t exactly stick to the percentages- but I was proud of my team and what we set out to accomplish. Gingerbread just doesn’t have to be a house- it is a great medium to create awesome sculptures with. With deep gratitude and Thank you to Jesse Lesser and Monika Stout for sticking by me, questioning, improving and trusting my vision. It was an honor to work with and compete against Jose and Catherine.
