Hello there! Yes, this the same Calamitous that was around a few years ago, which was run by Nova (Admin G) and Kira (Admin T). There was also an Admin Gigi at one point, but that was before we revamped the RP into Calamitous.

does a money system exist in calamity or does everyone use products to exchange?

Yes, a money system exists, but so does trading! So our universal money is essentially coins called Kochba. Most occupations pay in this manner. However, there are places, such as Burnt Pages, that allows trading for goods, or even book exchanges, as they want to ensure everyone has access to books.

Some products and/or items that are regularly used for trading are Merfolk scales, technological items, anything shiny (Most Fae love shiny items), natural resources, blood, etc.

Hello hello I hope these aren’t silly questions but I just wanted to propose/ask if my character would fit in here:

I’m thinking a witch but more a witch that works at the apothecary, probably asleep at the counter until someone shows up for a remedy of sorts.

She’s more a chaotic medic that will drink the poison and then heal herself while making a comment how tasty it is (think maomao from apothecary diaries )

Otherwise very kind, willing to help, even if she lets the intrusive thought win (think challenged a mermaid to a swimming competition and lose so badly the merperson dragged them to the shore to make sure she was okay)

I guess my questions are the following: is it okay if she’s a witch, if so would she be more a naturalist? And could she fit any connections listed or otherwise ( I was thinking of using park sooyoung/ joy but she’s 28 and might be in a weird age range for some listed wanted connections ) ! Hello!! These are definitely not silly questions! We love hearing about new characters and ideas that our members, and potential members, have! To answer your first question, yes, it's definitely okay if she's a Naturalist witch. It would totally fit the lore!

As for the connections, we do have a wanted connection page with a couple that might be of interest to you:

» MONTEGO (MONTY) is looking for SAVIOR. They are around the age of UTP, are a NATURALIST WITCH and they look like UTP. You DO need to contact the mun @wickedxhell to discuss this connection. The premise of the connection is: They found Monty clinging to life in the woods, using the healing power they had to his wounds. They nursed him for days till he was back to fighting shape. Even though they helped him they could see a layer of preide keeping him from thanking them for their hard work. He hated feeling like he owed them and in return he found them a safe place to reside in Lupis running the Don’t Go Inn with his shady backing.

» AKEMI TUAZON is looking for THEIR FOLLOWERS. They are around the age of UTP, are aUTP and they look like UTP. You DO NOT need to contact the mun @oftragxdy to discuss the connection.The premise of the connection is: Akemi is the leader of an underground group called The Voiceless. This group’s mission is to hunt down Witches – specifically those that are too powerful and play God – and kill them. All species are welcomed to join, even witches. However, the witches that do join cannot have great power, and they are watched heavily. The Voiceless are known for their ability to hide in the shadows and kill without being detected. They also use sign language to communicate. Akemi is extremely dedicated to this group and would do almost anything for his followers. 

I also have a character, Axel Reyes, who is the Commander of the Refuge. The Refuge is where a lot of Humans in Calamity live and they are protected there. He would definitely be interested in having a connection with a Naturalist Witch that he could turn to if there were any major injuries with him or any of his people.
