Part 1

Backstory:

You were part of a pack called the Shadowpack. There is nothing special about you since you are just an omega and the Alpha of your packs has nothing to do with you. You have a really good friend that is a beta, but he is the only one that you can really talk to because he won’t judge you for not being chosen by the alpha. 

Meanwhile, in your rival pack the Lightwind pack the soon to be Alpha of the pack has been looking for his fated mate, he has turned down all the omegas in his pack because none of them are his mate and he refuses to be with anyone that isn’t. 

Fated mates can feel the connection when they first look at each other, but the only way to complete the bond is to get the mate mark and knot, so until you do that or another mate claims you no one really pays attention to anyone else. 

Present Time:

On a very sunny afternoon you decided to go on a walk in the woods to be able to get away from the chaos that is happening in your pack. As you are walking around listening to the river run and the birds chirp a strange smell hits you and it doesn’t smell like anything bad. It is actually a very nice and pleasant smell, so you decide to follow the smell deeper into the woods and you make sure to stay hidden, but when you realize where the smell is coming from you freeze and hide. It is coming from your rival packs next alpha Caleb and you were completely shocked because you remembered your parents talking to you about some things to realize when you get close to your fated mate and the amazing smell is one of them. 

Caleb was sitting under a tree resting, also enjoying the sunny day away from his pack. You go to take a step back and you accidentally step on a twig and it snaps,Caleb heard it and looked in your direction spotting you behind a tree. He called out, “Hey, I see you. Why don’t you come out into the clearing.” His voice was gentle but firm. You stepped into the clearing, but did not make eye contact with him keeping your gaze on the ground, but as you got closer the smell got stronger and you couldn't resist it anymore. You looked up and met his gaze and as soon as you both made eye contact you could feel your inner wolf telling you he is your fated mate. Caleb was also shocked when he felt it but he kept a neutral expression not wanting to let his guard down just yet. 

You stood there in silence not knowing what to say or do because you knew he was from the rival pack which could be very bad for you if anyone finds out that your fated mate is the next alpha of  your pack's rival.  Caleb was standing there looking at you not knowing what to say all he could was stare at you because he too could feel the connection between you both and he also did not know how to act with this new discovery. You went to turn away to leave and just forget that this had ever happened but before you could completely turn you felt a hand on your arm and when you looked Caleb was stopping you from leaving. “You're not going anywhere just yet.”  he said in a low commanding voice. “This can never work. We are from two different packs. Rival packs may I add. In what world would this actually work?” You reply back to him as you try to pull away his grip tightens but it is not painful. “We can not ignore this though. This feeling will never go away now. Our inner wolf will not stop till we are together. We will figure out how to be together, I promise. I have spent so long looking for my fated mate now I have found you and I will not let you go.”  Caleb said with no room for argument. 

He slowly moves closer and as he does you try to move away but your body does not physically move. His presence felt nice and you did not truly want to leave, you felt his hand go to your waist and the other cupped your face. You did not pull back but you did lean into his touch and closed your eyes enjoying his touch as soon as you closed your eyes xavier kissed you. Instead of pulling away you deepen the kiss, but then you pull back. “Caleb, if we do this there is no going back. We can’t change our minds and try to find someone else. This is it for us…” you say quietly to him as you look into his blue eyes. “Finding you is all I wanted and I do not intend on finding anyone else or being with anyone else.” He said so surely. You felt your heart flutter and started to believe every word he said as he leaned in and kissed you again and then started to kiss your jawline up to your ear and whispered “let me make you feel good and forget all your worries” all you could was nod.

He kissed down your neck leaving marks as he did so and one of his hands slipped under your shirt as he backed you against a tree. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he slowly pulled your shirt off you and pulled back to look at you. Caleb continued to undress you and slowly laid you on a patch of grass and kissed down your body stopping to suck on your breast and making sure you feel good as he works his way down. You waited for him to say something but he just had this smirk on his face and he just looked at you. You were trying to figure out what he was thinking but you stayed silent for a few minutes until you couldn't take it anymore. 

You: Caleb what are you thinking?

Caleb: I was just thinking about how long I have waited for you to say those words to me. 

You looked at him confused and excited. Your heart was beating so fast you did not know what to think or do right in this moment. Caleb cupped your cheek and rubbed his thumb over it as he looked at you with love in his eyes. 

Caleb: I am surprised you never noticed that I have feelings for you. 

You: I guess I was just oblivious or I was just so worried that if I let my feelings slip you’d stop being friends with me…

Caleb: I could never leave you. You are the most important person in my life.

You lean into his hand that is still cupping your cheek and you start thinking. Caleb could tell that there was something else on your mind that you have not told him yet and he just wanted to know what it was, but he was scared that you would not tell him because he knew that you wouldn’t want to ruin the moment that you both were having. Caleb couldn’t resist it any longer he had to know what was on your mind so he finally decided to ask. 

Caleb: I can tell something is on your mind. Do you care to share with the class? 

He chuckles a little 

You: I just feel kind of selfish now…

You look down, not able to hold eye contact anymore. Caleb looks confused, needing more of an explanation to be able to help you through your feelings. 

Caleb: Can you explain more, or I can’t help. 

You: I mean…I feel selfish because I waited until we are about to graduate and move on with our lives and follow our dreams to tell you that I have feelings and that I don’t want you to leave. 

Caleb: (With a better understanding of the situation) I understand pipsqueak, and I know if we start something that it might be hard to have a relationship because we are trying to start our lives, but I want you to know I am willing to try. Yes, it may be difficult because of the distance, but I will be home on the weekends and I will call and text you everyday as much as I possibly can. 

You look at Caleb and smile…this moment is what you have waited on for years and it is finally coming true. You take his hand and intertwine your fingers with his. 

You: Caleb, that is all I ever wanted to hear for years. I am willing to do the long distance until we get settled in our jobs. Being with you is all I ever dreamed of since grade school and I am so happy it is finally coming true. 

Caleb was so excited by this that he pulled you in and kissed you. At first you were shocked but you melted into the kiss and kissed him back. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you closer to him. He slowly backed you into the wall not breaking the kiss as he does so pinning you against it not wanting this moment to end.

Backstory: 

Caleb and you were friends long before you both got adopted by Gran, but you do not remember another before you got taken into her house. Caleb has always been there for you and wanted to protect you and make sure that you were always safe and happy. He would even take care of you when you were sick, and he learned how to cook at a young age to make sure you always had amazing food and satisfied with everything you ate. As you both got older your bond just grew stronger to the point that you started developing feelings for Caleb more than a friend way, but you never told him because you did not want to ruin the friendship that you have currently. In grade school you were always bullied and of course Caleb being the protective friend that he is he did not take kindly to this and always fought in your place so they would leave you alone. 

By the time you both hit college your feelings grew stronger and you did not know if you could hold them in any longer. But little did you know that Caleb also had feelings for you, he too was scared to tell you because he did not want to ruin your friendship and risk losing you to feelings that you possibly didn't reciprocate. Y’all ended up going to different colleges for the sake of having two different dream jobs, but that did not change how close you were with each other. Making sure to call/facetime during the week and texting when y’all weren’t on call and always making it back to Gran’s house on the weekend and on holiday. You had one fear and it was coming up very soon. GRADUATION. After graduation Caleb would be leaving Linkon to go join the Fleet so he could pursue his dream job which of course you supported but you were going to miss him with all your heart. 

Present:

Graduation was quickly approaching and you made yourself one promise before the time came. That was to tell Caleb how you truly felt and pray he does not end the friendship over it. It was now two weeks before graduation and Caleb and you were walking in the park talking about the future and where you both wanted to end up. With that you say..

You: “Caleb..?”

Caleb: “Yes, Pipsqueak”

You: “I have something I need to tell you..”

Caleb stops and looks at you with a worried expression on his face not knowing what you wanted to tell him and he nodded waiting for you to tell him what was on your mind. You stood there for a moment looking at the ground before he stepped closer and gently grabbed your chin and tilted it up so you were looking at him. 

Caleb: “Whatever it is that you have to tell me. I promise to listen and help you in any way I possibly can.” 

You take a deep breath and look him in his eyes so that he knows you meant every word you were about to say to him. 

You: “Caleb, I wanted to tell you that I have feelings for you and have had them for a while, and I wanted to tell you before we both graduated and went our separate ways.”

Caleb freezes and instead of a disgusted expression he had a shocked/happy expression. You looked at him confused trying to figure out what was going on because you could have sworn that he only saw you as a best friend, maybe even a little sister.
