Sept 1, 2020
Leaving at 210
So much has happened these past few months, but also, nothing has happened.
I got really sick a few times - I had to be hospitalized. It was so painful and so scary. I almost died three times in the entire month of July. Fear of COVID kept me the hospital to the point where I almost killed myself accidentally. It wasn't a good month.
Death, pandemic, anxiety, protests, and not going to work, just staying home. It's basically the theme of everyone's 2020.
We're losing more than a thousand people per day to the virus, And we're getting close to 200k deaths, officially. Who knows the real toll.
The Presidency is looking like a fascist regime these days. The president just does whatever he wants with no ramifications.
Recently I've started to go to the beach with friends, sitting really far apart. Six feet.
It's nice to see my old friends. I love them. I miss them. We're all hurting. We can't hug, we can't come over or sleep over. Can't be there for each other.
I'm leaving the country. I paid tens of thousands of dollars to attend grad school in Europe.
I'm confident that it will help me in the long run.
Ill be voting for president on the other side of the world. Hopefully our votes are counted. The regime has started dismantling the USPS so it may not be possible. But we have to try.
I'll be in a pub somewhere watching the results live with everyone else. I'm going to bawl, regardless of the result. Itll be terified lamentation or it will be hopeful exasperation. Theyll have to deal with it, whoever I'm with.

0 opportunities and 50k
Ive always wanted to go to Europe. I've been saving my money and working hard at work to make it happen for years. I thought now would be a good time to try. Since there are no prospects in our country.
I started applying to programs in Europe before discovering that it's probably not going to be possible, most all countries have started to ban travel by Americans. All due to the Coronavirus shutdowns. I doubt they'll open up again. Fuck this administration. Murdering people and weakening people. Hurting people and ruining our opportunities. I wish I was luckier. I wish we were luckier.
My passport is going to expire and won't be able to be renewed in time anyways.
And there are 50,000 new cases every day in this God forsaken country. Almost at 1000 deaths per day, too. God damn. It's just so many people.
Total, that's almost 3million cases and 131,000 Americans dead.
It's ridiculous.
This past week included a close friend. I'm really worried about him. His only symptom is exhaustion so far. That's a good thing, relatively. He's safe and being taken care of. I really fucking hope hes ok. I am honestly starting to fall for this guy.
Still pretty scared. A little jaded. But I'm willing to remain locked down if it means avoiding getting myself and my family sick.

Church brutality and TikTok bullying
As our country continues into the covid crisis, no end in sight, we all have a lot of sudden free time on our hands. That means people can try to fuck shit up. It's been dramatic.
Firstly I'd like to say that the people who are able to go out and protest- I'm so damn thankful and proud of them.
Something the TikTok users did recently was book out the vast majority of seats in Trump's Tulsa rally, rendering it almost empty.
I hope we can use the social media against him, he was only elected due to falsified reports shared on social media the first time. He cannot be reelected.

Protests and looting, looting has stopped. Police violence has escalated quickly.
It's been a wild week.
Protests started. Looters hopped on board. Looters were kicked out of protests.
Protests still happening despite police violence and unlawful kidnapping and arrests by law enforcement. There have now been unmarked pice officers released into the streets in some cities.
My friends around the world want to help me and beg me to let them. If only it were possible due to COVID restrictions.
I am scared. Trump's presidency needs to end. Obviously Police need accountability and We need better social infrastructure support and less funds going to the police. But the catalyst to these changes is this orange man who threatens our society.
Here's a cumulative list of police brutality / LEO assaults on protestors. Many of whom were peaceful.

May 31, 2020 - dumpster fire situation
It's been a while. Why? Because life became so repetitive and depressing, it got me down. Stay inside, don't go out, social distance, sanitize, ration, sleep, eat, rest, watch as death count rises and you submit another dozen job applications.
The Coronavirus death count as of today is now Globally at 375,099 deaths and 6.2 million cases. In the USA, 106,000 deaths, so just under a third of the world's cases and deaths, even though we only account for 4% of the world. Fuck up? That's an understatement.
Over 20million jobs in the US have been lost. Probably more.
Things had just started petering out. The state parks had just started opening up. I went for a little solo hike last weekend.
Now, we riot, of course.
The cause- recently, a man was shot while jogging in his white neighborhood in the sound. This past week, The Minneapolis PD was also responsible for an event that was recorded and went viral online. 4 officers choked an innocent Black man to death, George Floyd, as he begged them to stop while lying face down, on the ground, in a parking lot, as bystanders begged the police to stop.
The world watched in horror. We began to protest and demonstrate. It's gone global. Copenhagen, London, Germany... And every city in the USA. Enough is enough. Along with the botched Coronavirus response by the govt, the loss of tens of millions of jobs, tensions are high, people who are scared, and people who are bored.... Riots started. I kind of suspected rioting would ensue.
People obviously are still at risk of contracting Coronavirus. It's a conundrum. Timing is key. I hope these protestors don't spread Coronavirus more. For their sake and all of ours. But I am on their side and hope the police may begin to be held accountable.
The United States is a fucking dumpster fire. God help us if you are up there.

The Rest in Peace Post
This post will be dedicated to all of those who pass from COVID-19 who I know, indirectly or directly. It's that bad, where it's starting to hit close to home. Last names will be omitted for privacy. This is partially to show how much the virus will affect those we know and care about. How extensive its reach is to a sample size of one(me). But this is also to be a little note from their friend, or friend of friends, if they can see or feel the love, and that we care.
Rob - 4.2.2020
Friends with a past colleague, caught up in the surge in NYC cases. Known as a sweet, calm, kind, a good friend and human being.
Jorel - 4.7.2020
My friend's wedding photographer. He was said by his brother to be a great brother and friend. Ambiotious. Caring. He was SoCal based.
Rest in peace.

Settling in and Staying Healthy
I've been talking a lot with friends and family. I think I've done 4 social video chats this weekend. I've also been working a lot. I may lose my job. We aren't sure but think so. We know layoffs are coming. But who?
I'm trying to maintain my sanity. It's hard when you live in a tiny residence but I'm trying to find zen and see the big picture.
News is bismal. I'm scared.

Military distain from a self proclaimed "wartime president"
Found these links in the comments of an article pointing out the only govt person who's been fired during this pandemic is a captain trying to protect his ship of soldiers with an outbreak on his ship
List not prepared by me.
• Trump fired the captain of the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt after he warned superiors that COVID19 was spreading among his crew
• After Iran's retaliatory strike, 109 US troops suffered brain injuries. Trump dismissed these as "headaches"
• On July 20, 2017, in room 2E924 of the Pentagon, Trump told a room full of Generals, "You’re a bunch of dopes and babies"
• Pardoned multiple war criminals, which stomped on long standing military values, discipline, and command. Trump has no military experience (May&Nov, 2019)
• Trump mocked Lt. Col. Vindman for his rank and uniform. He threatened said purple heart officer, resulting in the Army providing him protection
• Trump’s Chief of Staff worked—in secret—to deny comprehensive health coverage to Vietnam Vets who suffered from Agent Orange.
• There is a facility in Tijuana for US veterans that Trump deported. Wounded war vet, Sen Duckworth (D) marked Veterans Day 2019 by visiting this facility
• Russia took control of the main U.S. military facility in Syria abandoned on Trump’s orders. Russia now owns the airstrip we built
• On Oct 7, 2019, Trump abruptly withdrew support from America's allies in Syria after a phone call with Turkey's president (Erdogan). Turkey subsequently bombed US Special Forces.
• Trump sent thousands of American troops to defend the oil assets of the country that perpetrated 9/11
• In Sept 2019, he made an Air Force cargo crew, flying from the U.S. to Kuwait stop in Scotland (where there's no U.S. base) to refuel at a commercial airport (where it costs more), so they could stay overnight at a Trump property (which isn't close to the airport). Trump’s golf courses are losing money, so he's forcing the military to pay for 5-star nights there.
• In Sept, 2019, Pentagon pulled funds for military schools, military housing funds, and daycare to pay for Trump's border wall.
• In Aug, 2019, emails revealed that three of Trump's Mar-a-Lago pals, who are now running Veterans Affairs, are rampant with meddling. "They had no experience in veterans affairs (none of them even served in the military) nor underwent any kind of approval process to serve as de facto managers. Yet, with Trump’s approval, they directed actions and criticized operations without any oversight. They wasted valuable staff time in hundreds of pages of communications and meetings, emails show. Emails reveal disdainful attitudes within the department to the trio’s meddling."
• Veterans graves will be "dug up" for the border wall, after Trump instructed aides to seize private property. Trump told officials he would pardon them if they break the law by illegally seizing property
• Children of deployed US troops are no longer guaranteed citizenship. This includes US troops posted abroad for years at a time (August 28, 2019)
• On August 2, 2019, Trump requisitioned military retirement funds towards border wall
• On July 31, 2019, Trump ordered the Navy rescind medals to prosecutors who were prosecuted war criminals
• Trump denied a U.S. Marine of 6 years entry into the United States for his citizenship interview (Reported July 17, 2019)
• Trump made the U.S. Navy Blue Angels violate ethics rules by having them fly at his July 4th political campaign event (July 4, 2019)
• Trump demanded US military chiefs stand next to him at 4th of July parade (reported July 2, 2019)
• In June, 2019, Trump sent troops to the border to paint the fence for a better "aesthetic appearance"
• Trump used his D-Day interview at a cemetery commemorating fallen US soldiers to attack a Vietnam veteran (June 6, 2019)
• Trump started his D-Day commemoration speech by attacking a private citizen (Bette Midler, of all people) (reported on June 4th, 2019)
• Trump made his 2nd wife, Marla Maples, sign a prenup that would have cut off all child support if Tiffany joined the military (reported June 4th, 2019)
• On May 27, 2019, Trump turned away US military from his Memorial Day speech because they were from the destroyer USS John S. McCain
• Trump ordered the USS John McCain out of sight during his visit to Japan (May 15, 2019). The ship's name was subsequently covered. (May 27, 2019)
• Trump purged 200,000 veterans healthcare applications (due to known administrative errors within VA’s enrollment system) (reported on May 13, 2019)
• Trump deported a spouse of fallen Army soldier killed in Afghanistan, leaving their daughter parentless (April 16, 2019)
• On March 20, 2019, Trump complained that a deceased war hero didn't thank him for his funeral
• Between 12/22/2018, and 1/25/2019, Trump refused to sign his party's funding bill, which shut down the government, forcing the Coast Guard to go without pay, which made service members rely on food pantries. However, his appointees got a $10,000 pay raise
• He banned service members from serving based on gender identity (1/22/2019)
• He denied female troops access to birth control to limit sexual activity (on-going. Published Jan 18, 2019)
• He tried to deport a marine vet who is a U.S.-born citizen (Jan 16, 2019)
• When a man was caught swindling veterans pensions for high-interest “cash advances," Trump's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau fined him $1 (Jan 26, 2019)
• He called a retired general a 'dog' with a 'big, dumb mouth' (Jan 1, 2019)
• He increased privatization of the VA, leading to longer waits and higher taxpayer cost (2018)
• He finally visited troops 2 years after taking office, but only after 154 vacation days at his properties (Dec 26, 2018)
• He revealed a covert Seal Team 5 deployment, including names and faces, on Twitter during his visit to Iraq (Dec 26, 2018)
• Trump lied to deployed troops that he gave them a 10% raise (12/26/2018). He tried giving the military a raise that was lower than the standard living adjustment. Congress told him that idea wasn't going to work. Then after giving them the raise that Congress made him, he lied about it pretending that it was larger than Obama's. It wasn't.
• He fired service members living with HIV just before the 2018 holidays
• He tried to slash disability and unemployment benefits for Veterans to $0, and eliminate the unemployability extrascheduler rating (Dec 17, 2018)
• He called troops on Thanksgiving and told them he's most thankful for himself (Thanksgiving, 2018)
• He urged Florida to not count deployed military votes (Nov 12, 2018)
• He canceled an Arlington Cemetery visit on Veterans Day due to light rain (Nov 12, 2018)
• While in Europe commemorating the end of WWI, he didn't attend the ceremony at a US cemetery due to the rain -- other world leaders went anyway (Nov 10, 2018)
• He used troops as a political prop by sending them on a phantom mission to the border and made them miss Thanksgiving with their families (Oct-Dec, 2018)
• He stopped using troops as a political prop immediately after the election. However, the troops remained in muddy camps on the border (Nov 7, 2018)
• Trump changed the GI Bill through his Forever GI Act, causing the VA to miss veteran benefits, including housing allowances. This caused many veterans to run out of food and rent. (reported October 7, 2018)
• Trump doubled the rejection rate for veterans requesting family deportation protections (July 5, 2018)
• Trump deported active-duty spouses (11,800 military families face this problem as of April 2018)
• He forgot a fallen soldier's name (below) during a call to his pregnant widow, then attacked her the next day (Oct 23-24, 2017)
• He sent commandos into an ambush due to a lack of intel, and sends contractors to pick them up, resulting in a commando being left behind, tortured, and executed. (Trump approved the mission because Bannon told him Obama didn't have the guts to do it) (Oct 4, 2017)

• Trump said having unprotected sex was his own personal Vietnam (1998)
• For a decade, Trump sought to kick veterans off of Fifth Avenue because he found them unsightly nuisances outside of Trump Tower. “While disabled veterans should be given every opportunity to earn a living, is it fair to do so to the detriment of the city as a whole or its tax paying citizens and businesses?” - 1991
• Trump dodged the draft 5 times by having a doctor diagnose him with bone spurs.
• No Trump in America has ever served in the military; this spans 5 generations, and every branch of the family tree. In fact, the reason his grandfather immigrated to America was to avoid military service

Up and Out and over it.
April 1, 2020
I feel fine. I feel good. I just need to keep feeling fine for about three months. It’s a small victory and I have to cling to it.
Please let this end soon.

King Trump wasting my money. Won’t help the sick or poor, it just lines the pockets of the super-wealthy. Great.
I did a lot today. Totally tired. Moved out from an apartment. Hopefully I get to find someone to replace me in my room or I have to keep paying. Man. I am screwed.
Also, yet another news article on Donald Trump fucking the world up. The country specifically. Money that could be used to save starving and dying people he is stealing.
“This is a frightening amount of public money to have given a corrupt admininistration with zero accountability."
“The law does have important "guardrails," Porter said, like preventing increases in executive compensation for companies that get a loan and barring stock buybacks during the loan period. "But that's about it," said Porter, "What it doesn't do is provide any conditions that the loan money be used to keep people on payroll—which is really the point of doing this."
That means it's critical to have "rigorous oversight" that's "done quickly," said Porter, stressing that taxpayers' own dollars are at play.
"The Treasury has the ability to move this money extremely quickly; there's nobody that Secretary Mnuchin has to ask," she warned. "He can decide $100 billion to this individual industry, $100 bill to that industry. Meanwhile, he could be ignoring some of the industries that most desperately need the money and that are some of the largest employers in the country."
Porter expressed concern over "a real potential here for the administration to play favorites, and there's a real potential here for the money to go out the door long before this oversight commission even gets set up, long before the inspector general can even do its work."
Given "what President Trump said about his intent to ignore these oversight provisions," Porter continued, "we in Congress need to be appointing people to this congressional panel immediately and they need to be starting their work this evening and tomorrow ... to see what Secretary Mnuchin is doing with our $500 billion in taxpayer dollars."

Throat
March 26, 2020
My throat hurts a little. Maybe the same. And I’m not sure but I swear I notice a difference/ a lack of ability to taste and smell. There was skunk smell in the house today. Didn’t know what it was when I woke up but knew it was weird. Asked my mom. She just says “skunk...” kind of confused.

Waves
March 26 2020
My throat hurt a teensy bit the other day. It hurt this morning on one side. It doesn't hurt now but I feel it. Maybe a lymph node is swollen. Hopefully this is the last wave.
My patience and emotions come in waves too. When your environment stays the same, but the news and the way people are treating you change, I think it’s much easier to monitor.

Empty World
March 25, 2020
I felt bad this morning emotionally. Like that relying on everyone thing I hate so much. But I feel better now after a talk with my family.
My health feels the same. A little ache in my chest and alight cough. Not productive as usual. Chest not labored most of the day. I had one moment where I felt hot out of nowhere. It went away quickly. That's always happened to me though. I Probably feel better actually. I'm not worsening though.
Emotionally bad as well because a weirdo lashed out at me at work, and no one stuck up for me. Whatever.
News:
Today was an elective say of respite from the news.
I was busy with work, thank God, and just listened to podcasts.
For my news, I'll leave you with this video someone compiled today.
The entire world is empty. Or at least, the public parts of the world are.

Different Sick
March 24, 2020
My food allergies have been killing me. Eating all the food we have instead of being able to go out and buy more due to the quarantine and risks. All of it is really giving me allergies which are really uncomfortable.
Emotionally I feel better today. I guess I realized we’re all dependent on someone else no matter what, because we’re social creatures. Even the millionaires of the world must rely on others to do their taxes, run their businesses, raise their children, and clean their giant mansions.
I just feel like I am constantly trying to fight people who abuse their power. Constantly fighting to stick up for myself.
I also think I’m going to lose huge amounts of money from all of this. We all are. But man. I can’t live in the US after this. I can’t be a slave to corporations just to barely scrape by. How will I ever retire? I work so hard,40-60 hour weeks, and slaved away for my degree, and for what? To be able to eat slightly better than top ramen without being able to save? Fuck, man. I want to live.
