Day 22 of #letsgetflexyin2015 is laghuvajrasana but I'm not quite ready for that so I worked on strengthening my quads and opening my back with "pigeon droppings". I just started practicing these a few months ago and already feel so much stronger. @kinoyoga @aloyoga @beachyogagirl

Day 18 of #letsgetflexyin2015 is scorpion handstand. Very cool to realize my handstand practice has gotten strong enough to be able to just hang out upside down and slowly work on engaging and transitioning to another shape. Even though my feet don't touch my head and it isn't "Instagram perfect" I feel so strong and empowered and full of life- that's what my practice gave me today. Thanks, yoga, for always making me feel like a million bucks :) @kinoyoga @beachyogagirl @aloyoga

Day 13 of #letsgetflexyin2015 is kapinjalasana or partridge pose. Using a strap to create more space since my shoulder is too tight to hold my foot when I flip the grip. Also using the wall for balance support. I'm all about using props and modifications as stepping stones. Little by little my practice has taken me deeper and deeper. All those "impossible" poses are coming within reach. Practice consistently and you'll be blown away by the miracles you can achieve. I never practice this pose, so it was a fun challenge. Lots of falling! Lots of laughing! Keep it fresh yogis! @kinoyoga @beachyogagirl @aloyoga

Make up for day 8 of #letsgetflexyin2015 was yantrasana since I did eka pada sirsasana last week instead of sundial. I'm a mess! Good news is after a long day of travel we escapes the boston blizzard and it was 70 and sunny when we got home to nc! @kinoyoga @beachyogagirl @aloyoga
