Wow, I have a tumblr now. So cool! Anyways, the YF-23 should’ve been chosen over the F-22 imo. Black Widow is a much better nickname than just Raptor.

Shut up. The F-16 is the Viper but I don’t hear anybody whining. The F-18 is called the goddamn Hornet.

Nobody calls it that. It’s the Viper.

The project that would become the F-22 was meant to be a break from tradition, to be the pinnacle of air superiority. The F-35 can do a hell of a lot, but nothing fights other planes like F-22. And the YF-23 can do that even better, if the trials are to be believed.

And the name, Black Widow, it’s perfect. Potent, Deadly, Painful, and packed in a package you might not even see coming. That’s a stealth fighter, baby. Raptors might be a marvel of the bird world, but they spend most of their time picking off what’s on the ground. Honestly, it’s better suited as a name for the F-35 imo. If you want a name for an aerial assassin, Black Widow’s the way to go.
