Born out of the antiwar movement in 1967, RESIST has provided initial funding to some of the most effective grassroots organizations across the United States. Back then, RESIST supported the brave individuals who refused to fight in the Vietnam War. Though the breadth and depth of our work has grown wider and deeper over the years, our commitment to peace and justice has remained the same. www.resist.org

One night only! There will be a special performance of THE DRAFT to benefit Resist. Resist was founded in 1967 when the "Call to Resist Illegitimate Authority" was issued to support draft resistance in opposition to the war in Vietnam. The play starts at 7:30 P.M. with a reception beforehand at 5:30 P.M. catered by Haley House for Resist friends and supporters. You will have the opportunity to make a donation to Resist and/or to help promote the play to schools and colleges as an educational tool on war and militarism. Tickets are available for a $10.00 minimum donation to Resist per ticket. (No one will be turned away). To RSVP and reserve your tickets, please contact Ravi Khanna at [email protected] or 617.623.5110

Statewide Coordinated Actions to End Solitary Confinement (SCATESC) ....... And every month on the 23rd!
“We want to consider the idea of designating a certain date each month as Prisoner Rights Day. On that date each month prisoners across the state would engage in peaceful activities to call attention to prison conditions. At the same time our supporters would gather in locations throughout California to expose CDCR’s [CA Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation] actions and rally support efforts to secure our rights. We can see this action growing from month to month as more people inside and out become aware of it and join our struggle.”
