Courtlandt Legacy | Part 16 - Outnumbered

It’s 5pm and all the babies are upset! While Caleb was working on getting David tucked in and telling him a story, one of the twins, Vanessa, began crying in the other room. Thankfully Daphne was on it, but the two of them are outnumbered and definitely have their hands full!

Hopefully they can get the babies settled so the two of them can enjoy the premier of their favorite TV show tonight! David drifted off after Caleb’s bedtime story and a little lullaby, and Vanessa settled down with a cuddle and a snack. Amanda also enjoyed her cuddles and snack while Caleb was busy making some dinner to enjoy with the show that evening. Though Caleb hates cooking and he can easily tuck into a plasma fruit or a plasma pack, he wanted to make sure Daphne had a nice hot meal to enjoy after caring for the newborns.

It was at this point, dear reader, that I realized they didn’t have a TV (yes that was a Bridgerton reference, so WHAT?). Anyway, they had about $1k in savings which I am very aware they were saving up to better their home but I believe a television fits in that category just fine! They bought a used TV off of SimsList and moved their desk in front of the TV for now so they’d have a nice spot to watch. Daphne also used the opportunity to adjust family photos, with their engagement and wedding photo by the TV, and a bigger space above the desk to give plenty of room for more pictures as the children grow.

They sat down for dinner to enjoy the Odder Things premier together. Just as they began to relax, Vanessa started to cry again. They should’ve anticipated the dirty diaper! And of course, right on cue, Amanda began to cry for a diaper change as well. Thankfully they had managed to finish their premier first!

Caleb’s paycheck came through right after, instead of tucking the television away, they decided to purchase a TV stand and put their desk back where it belongs. After setting the new TV stand up and tucking the newborns in, everybody headed to bed. Vanessa cried twice during the night for food and a diaper change but Amanda was rather unbothered by everything. Caleb kept getting up so Daphne could rest since she just gave birth, but the next night, she’s on duty!

It was nice of Caleb to do that, considering David woke up at 2am. Since Daphne leaves for work an hour earlier than Caleb, she decided that she’d take breakfast duty that morning. Poor David was so cranky after waking up hungry! He’s a little smelly this morning, but they’ll have to take this one problem at a time and food clearly needs to be first with a hangry little man.

She decided to help him try yogurt for breakfast that morning. Fingers crossed it goes well!

He ate the bite and said, and I quote ‘yummyyyyy!’ so he unlocked his first food milestone, and he enjoyed it!

She gave him a bottle to finish the rest of his meal, and then carried on getting ready for the morning, including a bath for David and then herself. He made sure to pee on Mom when she went to change his stinky diaper, but that’s why we do these things BEFORE our own showers. Or be smart moms and keep the winky covered with the old diaper while changing, but I digress.

While all this was going on, Amanda woke Caleb up crying to have her poopy diaper changed. Caleb was happy to get up that morning and give his newborn a snuggle. After she was all taken care of, she and Vanessa drifted off to sleep. Caleb got up to clean up the bathroom after Caleb’s bath and to get ready for the day himself. David was left on his tummy time mat to do tummy time on his own for a bit while his parents got something to eat and bathed. David was having a great time on his own with the mat!

Just as Daphne sat down with her breakfast, Vanessa began to cry. Before she could even get up, Caleb was there with his vampiric speed, feeding the baby. He’s really killing it with the whole ‘Dad’ thing! Since Caleb had a good hand on things, Daphne stepped outside to tend to their garden before heading to work. After all, it was Caleb’s main source of food, and a great help financially, too. Caleb went into the nursery to play with David and found him unlocking yet another milestone!

Daphne earned them $397 simoleons before even leaving for work that morning – the gardening is really paying off! It only got Caleb 3 more plasma fruit, so they may have to consider planting another tree soon. For now, though, they have two crying babies to care for. David has been awake for 6 hours without a nap and is demanding one – and a snack – before mom leaves for work. This will definitely take a load off of Caleb’s plate for the hour he is alone with all three of the babies.

Caleb’s dad instincts are strong – since the babies didn’t need him right now, he decided to play with Maybelle instead.

Daphne headed off to work so Caleb sprayed the garden for flies before heading off himself, leaving the kids with their daycare for the day. However, it is worth noting that there seems to be a bug… with getting rid of bugs. What is that, Caleb? Is your arm broken? Buddy.

The children got home with Daphne, and she and David had something in common – they were both exhausted. That’s what happens when you get up at 2am. Sorry David, but you’re going to have to stay up a bit longer to avoid that from happening again. While Daphne was taking care of Amanda and Vanessa, she passed out on the floor from exhaustion. Thankfully Caleb had just arrived home and could finish taking care of David while Daphne roused herself to do diapers and feedings for the girls. She has just enough energy to do that and get some food, then go to bed herself. She won’t be able to do her work task for tonight. Caleb is feeling great, though, and has plans to work on his programming skills for a while before bed. Thank goodness the twins are aging up tomorrow!

Due to their birthday coming up, they did have to spend a lot of their paycheck on prepping another nursery, but they had a bit left over to fix up the master suite bathroom, too. Daphne turned in for an early night (8:30pm, wow!) and Caleb sat down at the computer once everyone was safely asleep to work on his programming skills.  

Tomorrow the girls will age up to infants, but before that, Daphne and Caleb will have to take their newborn family photos with each girl, and possibly Caleb’s infant photo as well. I can’t wait to see what these two girls look like!

Courtlandt Legacy | Part 15 - Double Trouble

And we’re already off to a busy start! Daphne woke up at 3am needed to pee just after Caleb woke up for the day. This in turn woke up David, but he still earned a milestone!

He did a great job sleeping through the night, and Caleb was ready to check on him after he cleaned the sinks, dirty from use and the repair job the day before. David got fed, bathed, changed, and dressed! And the bathing unlocked two more milestones! Caleb was a bit tense after the morning cleaning, but David was having a FANTASTIC time.

While Caleb and David enjoyed some tummy time, Daphne took her family leave and harvested the veggies in her garden. Today Caleb planned to have David practice siting up while Daphne rested. She as in her third trimester now, and would be giving birth any time! David reached a new milestone – rolling onto his tummy. He even got his toe into his mouth! Amazing.

Unfortunately David got too tired to practice sitting so Caleb put him down for a nap, ate a few plasma fruit, and perused the second vampire book. Daphne also needed a nap and while Caleb found it a little funny, he’d never point it out to Daphne. While Caleb read, Daphne woke up and started cleaning up the home again. As she did, she earned a new trait – neat! Literally – the trait is ‘neat’. Meanwhile, Daphne was feeling quite flirty around Caleb and decided that since woohoo worked so well to evict David… why not try it again? She had an amazing time with Caleb, but it didn’t seem to do anything for her pregnancy issue. Caleb got to fixing their broken shower while Daphne got herself something to eat. David was still napping – he had been very tired.

Daphne was getting bored waiting around for the baby to arrive, so she decided to spend time with her cowplant, Maybelle, then head out on a nature walk. Caleb continued reading his book, idling listening for his sons needs.

Caleb spent a while researching vampire secrets, then fed David, and changed his diaper. As Daphne cleaned up form yet ANOTHER broken toilet, she went into labor! Finally! Caleb finished changing David’s diaper and the two of them headed off to the hospital to welcome their new baby.

Unfortunately, Caleb decided to try out his vampire allure power so everyone was trying to flirt with him and the hospital STILL wouldn’t let Daphne check in, so she had to give birth at home once more. Oh well. They headed back home for Daphne to have their baby. Caleb’s powers also seem to be bugged as they will not turn off, so Daphne was a little bit hypnotized while giving birth but… who knows, maybe that made it less painful since she’s home and clearly can’t get an epidural.

In the background, David unlocked another milestone – laughter! Kinda dark to laugh at your mother’s pain but… okay David lmao

And… it’s a girl!

And… another girl! Twin girls!

Daphne is exhausted, so she left the newborns in Dad’s capable hands while she went to the rest room, then to sleep. Caleb took care of the kids and went to bed himself, managing to sleep of the vampiric allure he had released.

With two babies and an infant in the house, sleep was not peaceful. It won’t be for a while, Daphne, but you wanted children! Or maybe it’s because you’re in a legacy challenge. Regardless…!

Meanwhile, while Daphne was feeding her newborns, Caleb was cleaning up. He cleaned up so much he discovered he is also neat. Neat! (I’ll stop using that joke I promise). He weeded and watered the garden, fed Maybelle, and took some more family time off. After all, with three kids in the house and Daphne needing to recover after giving birth, he should stay home and help.

Caleb spent time doing tummy time with Caleb while the newborns were all set. He unlocked the creep milestone!

And WOW! Look what else he did!

Finally, he can move onto some big boy food! No more bottles for THIS baby! But that took a lot of effort, so baby food will have to wait for now. David went to bed, and Amanda and Vanessa needed some attention next. Caleb spent some time taking care of them while Daphne was dealing with the garden and getting some fresh air. When David is hungry, though, he’ll try some baby food soon!

Courtlandt Legacy | Part 14 - Milestones

Daphne got home from work promptly at 5pm – clearly she made the right choice as she made some good money after her shift! She had picked David up from daycare and while on his tummy time mat, he reached his first ever milestone! He can reach! Soon he’ll be sitting up, and even crawling!

He is very sleep though, and it’s making him sad. After a snuggle from Mom, she tucked him into his crib for an early bedtime. His other needs are perfect so sleep should definitely help him feel better! As she placed him in his crib, she learned two new quirks of his – he sneezed several times once she put him down, and he became very happy once he was in his crib! She has discovered all three of his infant quirks now.

Caleb returned home from work as Daphne sat down to eat her dinner – he’d been promoted to Code Monkey and got a 9 simoleon raise, a 506 simoleon bonus and a computer hard drive. They had 810 simoleon bills and he sold his hard drive. He could finally buy a computer! He had three choices – how low can you go, the aesthetically portable tablet, and the standard portable computer. He ended up choosing the aesthetically portable tablet as the how low can you go wasn’t going to cut it for his needs, but he couldn’t justify the price of the laptop just yet. The purchase DID remind him he needs to take an infant photo of his son! Soon, Caleb. Soon.

Before he could get to his tasks, though, Caleb had a son to care for. He briefly woke David up to feed him and to upgrade his crib with a mobile. David was happy to wait it out, even interacting with his father while he worked.

Soon he was back in bed, Daphne was snoozing, and Caleb was working away. Caleb reached programming level three as he did his work task, and leveling up was also required by work. Being a vampire who didn’t need sleep certainly had some perks.

Daphne woke up an hour and a half after Caleb went to bed, at five am. She had to pee, she was starving, and the baby was crying. Sometimes the work just never ends! Though since Caleb didn’t need sleep, he also hopped up to take care of the baby. Daphne was grateful for that – she was starving and had terrible morning sickness at the same time. She wasn’t feeling so great, and still had to harvest the garden before work.

Dad took care of a stinky diaper and gave Caleb his first bath in the sink while Mom worked on getting herself something to eat. Caleb would need a bite, too, after taking care of David, but for now the baby was all he could think of. He’s a very supportive father, and he’s also supportive of Daphne’s career with all the help he gives her. Keep it up, Caleb!

Daphne harvested their garden while Caleb worked on tummy time with David. She planned to work from home today – she was pretty sure she’d need to be near a toilet at all times with how upset her stomach was feeling that day. Plus, more time with David! Another exciting moment for David – he learned to lift up his head! One step closer to leaving the bottle behind for some solid(ish) baby food.

Daphne’s work task was simple – collect a plant microscope sample. That left her plenty of time to spend working on milestones with David and taking care of herself. Her nausea was already fading. Daphne’s tasks were complete before Caleb even headed off for his workday, and David was down for a nap. That meant Daphne had a few moments for herself before what was likely to be a chaotic day, with her needs and David’s together… until the morning sickness reared its ugly head!

More disturbingly… GIRL WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR ANKLES?? ARE YOU OKAY??

Poor Daphne thought the chaos today would be her needs and Caleb’s, but what she didn’t realize was that she wouldn’t be leaving the bathroom any time soon. After brushing her teeth, mopping the floor, and cleaning the toilet, she washed her hands. The sink broke. So now she had to repair the sink and mop again. Yikes!

Daphne finally sat down for lunch after all of that, and guess what? David woke up and starting crying. He was hungry too, which is fair enough. After getting him a bite to eat, then spent more time on the tummy time mat. David was not happy about that, but Daphne was. He was making great progress! He unlocked the coo milestone, and then rolled over onto his back! Good job, little guy!

Daphne learned, while playing with David, that socializing with infants does count toward her aspiration! Who would’ve thought? Apparently the conversations only need to be one-sided. Once they were done with tummy time, Daphne decided to head to the park with David! Caleb needed some frogs or fish to make plasma packs, and since she was home, she figured she had the time to help him out. The trip also unlocked another milestone for David – first visit to the park!

Daphne did manage to catch a frog, and she even set David down for a nap while she got some fish, too! Two cichlids! Hopefully that can tide Caleb over for a bit. Daphne doesn’t have the energy to spare to let him drink from her right now. She brought David home for dinner – she herself was getting hungry and tired – and set him down next to his future Bigfood toy while she ran to pee. He reached and reached and… GRAB!

Daphne gave Caleb his fish and frogs when he got home, then got David a bite to eat and tucked him in before getting her own dinner. Caleb was quite pleased – he managed to make three new plasma packs to store after eating two older ones – and making plasma packs was part of his aspiration!

Finally after a long day, the Courtlandt family headed to bed, all of them satisfied with their accomplishments and ready to sleep.

Courtlandt Legacy | Part 13 - A First Birthday!

It was Sunday afternoon, and Caleb decided to go out and hunt for some frogs. It was great that plasma packs are available for purchase, but Caleb was able to make them himself so why not get the materials to try? It would save money, it just took some time. While admiring the llama topiary in the Willow Creek park, Caleb peeped Kristopher playing chess, once again. This guy LOVES chess and Willow Creek apparently!

Caleb caught one frog, but there weren’t any other logs around so he carried on searching. He had of course already checked around Brindleton Bay, which was fresh out of frogs as well. Caleb caught another frog behind the Willow Creek museum and the library, though he made sure to snag the dig spots he passed on the way. Might be something worth selling! He really wanted a computer to do his work at home. He had no luck over on Courtyard Lane, Pendula View, or Sage Estates, so he headed home with his haul.

He managed to make four plasma packs with his frog haul – that’s 200 simoleons saved! HE also found a treasure map and two figurines. After a delicious dinner of more plasma packs, Caleb hopped in the tub while Daphne ate some dinner.

Meanwhile, Daphne mixed up a cake! Tomorrow David would be aging up into an infant – how time flies! She decided that, with her newborn growing up, it was time to try for another. Caleb agreed, so the two of them got to it!

HANDCUFFS, DAPHNE? Well… alright then.

She took a pregnancy test right after, and is once again eating for two!

Caleb was very excited, but the moment was cut short as poor David started to cry. At least he gave them enough time to try – we’ll give him props for that. As Daphne headed to bed, Caleb went into what is to be David’s future nursery to feed him and change his diaper. He’ll be spending the night with his parents once again – he had just been moved out while his parents had some ‘alone’ time.

And as the clock hit midnight, Caleb made it to five days without drinking deeply from any sims and completed his young adult milestones! As he is a vampire and thus immortal, he will not continue to age up unless he chooses to become mortal again in the future.

Daphne woke up first that morning, as she had to go to work before Caleb. She got herself and David ready for the day, and harvested her garden. They are so close to getting a computer for Caleb…! Caleb woke up shortly after and joined Daphne outside to enjoy the morning sun. Unlike his sister, he was sun resistant and loving it. It also meant he got to spend more time with Daphne, who loved being outdoors.

Finally it was time to age up David! Daphne and Caleb gently woke him from sleep and aged the baby up into an infant. They had made cake, which of course isn’t needed to age up a baby into an infant, but everyone deserves cake on their birthday! And Daphne wanted cake – what more of a reason does she need?

David’s randomly selected trait is ‘calm’ – how lucky! And he clearly needs a makeover in CAS. Perhaps those eerie eyes are an indication that he is going to take after his daddy’s vampiric ways? They’ll find out as he grows!

He got a new makeover in CAS and CAS confirms – he is a vampire! …Perhaps we’ll keep a hat on him for now. Those are some… off putting ears.

That’s better. No offense David – you’re very cute! There’s just something especially terrifying about a vampire infant or toddler, to be fair.

Daphne put David down on his tummy time mat before she went to work, though she got nauseous and almost vomited on her poor son. Is he already losing his favorite status in the family? Probably not, but it would be unfortunate to be vomited on by your pregnant mom, anyway.

Daphne headed off to work, and Caleb gave David his first bottle feeding as an infant before he had to leave, too, sending David to daycare for the day. Hopefully they’ll have time for tummy time later once everyone is home! But for now, David will be happy to get some breathing room – he isn’t enjoying being held, lately. And before we go, David’s first quirk is revealed! Feeding tinkler! He… pees when he eats, apparently. Alright then, David.

Courtlandt Legacy | Part 12 - The Money Grind

The Courtlandt’s spent the morning… well, cleaning up. Daphne took some family leave because she had just given birth the night before, though she definitely didn’t intend to use all of it – they really needed the cash. There garden was enough to get them through, though, and once the baby was settled, Caleb headed off to the library.

It didn’t take him long to level up in programming, or to complete his gaming tasks for work. He desperately needed some plasma packs, though, and that would probably use a lot of their funds from the garden to purchase. He supposed he could hunt for frogs, but he thought that buying the packs would be worth it so he could go home and spend time with his son instead.

Four packs for 200 simoleons… his blood needs were using a lot of the family funds. That would be an issue they’d have to address sooner rather than later… but for now, this would have to do.

Caleb went home and put away his plasma packs, and Daphne got notified at what would’ve been the end of her work day that she got promoted! She got to pick between the botanist and floral designer branches of her gardening career. The botanist branch makes 40 simoleons and had weekends off, and the floral designer makes 35 with two week days and shorter hours. Her first priority is her child, so she chose the botanist career so they could be home on weekends together once her child started school.

Cowplants are cool, and Daphne hoped that by having something more worthwhile to add to her career, that perhaps she’d find more fulfillment in it. Hopefully she made the right choice!

This promotion also got her a 600 simoleon bonus on top of the cash they already had, so it’s time for some home upgrades! They updated the kitchen and grabbed some curtains, nightstands, a dresser, and a plant for the bedroom so that space wouldn’t feel so empty anymore. Now with all the bedrooms having the basics and plenty of seating in the dining room, it was time to save up for the living area.

Meanwhile, neighborhood voting was going on, so Caleb and Daphne both took some time to do that as well. Daphne voted on self-sufficiency as she was a gardener and why not get some perks for that? Caleb decided on the same thing, since he also helped with the garden and without a TV or computer, he couldn’t partake in the fun loving community NAP yet.

Meanwhile, Caleb continued working on his aspirations. Daphne couldn’t continue hers until David was a toddler or child and able to socialize, so for now she was just going to have to make do. The aspirations are important, remember, because they can’t age up until they complete each level! (This was decided when aging was bugged and I’m sticking with it now… lol).

Caleb needs to have five friends, and currently he has four. He invited over the librarian, as out of all his acquaintances he knows her best, and started chatting away to make friends.

Meanwhile, Daphne was making the most of David’s naptime and chose to lounge in her pool instead.

 Her lounging time came to an end as David started to cry – he was hungry after that nap! However, Daphne got a call from Lex (who she needed to contact soon about a family photo before David aged up…) about a… strange dream.

She decided to be nice, of course – Lex was a good friend and that is a funny dream. It reassured him about the choice she made in his dream and he said she was a good friend.

Right before cloudgazing, Hajar the librarian finally became friends with Caleb! He was one step closer to finishing the young adult level of his aspiration – only 2 more days of not drinking deeply to go!

Daphne reached level two of parenting while taking care of David, which made her happy as well. After all, she’ll eventually need to reach level 10 for her aspiration!

After a little bit of chatting like pirates to complete the holiday, and admiring one another’s booties (;]), Caleb and Daphne headed to bed. They planned to send David to daycare the next day and head to the library to work on their career skills for a while – after all, they still needed the cash.

Daphne was grateful for the coverage over her plants as the season changed to fall – she didn’t want to lose them as the temperatures grew colder! She and Caleb relied on that income just as much as they did with their jobs – it would be a devastating loss. She put away the kiddie pool and purchased a few new plants to add to the garden since they had a little extra cash – hopefully it’d bring in some good additional money!

Caleb also reached parenting level two that morning as he socialized with his son. He wanted to make sure he gave David extra love and attention since they’d have to leave him for a little while.

After David was all settled, Daphne and Caleb headed to the library. Caleb wanted to read the first vampire book as he could not afford his own copy yet, and Daphne needed to increase her logic skill. While Caleb was off reading in the quieter children’s section, Daphne played a few rounds of chess with Kristopher, an enraged werewolf she met in Willow Creek. I can’t say I blame Caleb for stepping away – the kids section was empty while the rest of the library was noisy and busy.

At noon time Caleb headed home and left Daphne to her own devices – he figured four hours was enough time at daycare for David and he had no other tasks to take care of while at the library.

Daphne wasn’t far behind! She reached logic level two about forty minutes later and headed on home to be with her family, too.

Courtlandt Legacy | Part 11 - A New Baby

Daphne has the day off, so Caleb got up early to make her some breakfast before he had to leave for his job. Daphne has entered her third trimester, and she’s feeling pretty good about herself!

As Caleb cleaned up the kitchen, Daphne stepped outside for some morning sunshine while she harvested her plants for work. She figured she should do it now before the baby comes, while she still had time.

 After that, Daphne decided to go back to bed because she was still a little tired. Caleb headed to the library to work on his programming skill – he only had an hour and a half, but he might as well make use of the time! He needed to get a computer, but they were still working on their home in general. Perhaps someday, Caleb!

He spent the morning at the library working on his programming, but as 10 o’clock neared, he dreaded it. He didn’t want to leave his pregnant wife home alone for the day, but they needed the money, so off he went.

Daphne was still asleep, trying to keep her hunger and energy up before the baby came as much as she could. Though as it neared noon time, she pulled herself out of bed once more to get something to eat, and to use the bathroom. She felt like her life revolved around eating, peeing, and sleeping. She supposed, once she had the baby, their life would be like that too, for a while.

It was a beautiful day outside – sunny and warm, not a cloud in the sky. Daphne decided to pass the time lounging in the pool. After all, a momma to be deserves to relax a little bit!

As the end of the day drew near, Daphne started getting frustrated. She wanted that baby out – the eviction papers were being drafted! If she didn’t go into labor by dinner time, she was going to woohoo with Caleb to try and induce labor that way.

Daphne was napping on the couch when Caleb got home. He downed two plasma packs and bemoaned his lack of fun activities… at least until Daphne woke up. With a lil smooch, woohoo was already on Daphne’s mind. Clearly she was ready to go, and Caleb wasn’t about to complain with his fun need so low.

Caleb was feeling great after that, but Daphne… well… the baby was STILL not coming. She went to the library with Caleb so he could practice his programming, and took a nap there. On the other hand, Caleb made more progress with his aspiration! Only two more days without drinking deeply to go!

Finally, just as Caleb was about to skill up in programming, Daphne woke, in labor!

They rushed to the hospital. Daphne was relieved and excited, though Caleb was in a full panic! However, the sims 4 chose to glitch and didn’t register that they were at the hospital so they failed to be able to check in. They went back home instead to give birth to their child. Typical sims 4. Lol

Daphne gave birth to a beautiful baby boy! They named him David Courtlandt

Daphne was exhausted after giving birth. She made sure to feed David, then headed to bed, leaving their newborn son in Caleb’s capable hands. They seem like quite a duo already!

Courtlandt Legacy | Part 10 - Work Stress

Today the Courtlandt's have to face... STRESS!

It's 5:30 am and the Courtlandt’s are up and about! With a good morning kiss and a stretch, Daphne is feeling fine. She’s almost in her third trimester! She started the day with her work task of harvesting harvestables, which she had been too exhausted to get to the night before. Caleb’s work task was done, so he decided to help Daphne out in the garden with the weeding, watering, and spraying for bugs. Besides, Daphne likely couldn’t get down that low anyway!

Caleb improved his gardening to level 2, and Daphne researched away to get her level up to five for a work promotion! Hopefully that will be coming soon – they’re short on cash and still need to expand the house a bit more!

Daphne took a moment to sell their harvest and went off to work. Caleb had some time to himself, so he decided to go back to the library after a plasma pack breakfast to hopefully make some new friends. He found two lovely ladies already there – the librarian and a new sim working on a computer – and at down to make some small talk. Caleb, it’s against library etiquette to talk, especially to people who are working but… it’s seeming to work out fine for you somehow.

Uh oh! At work Caleb ran into an old flame! He chose to chat with them to be polite – no need to make things more awkward or be rude, right?

Ouch – the old flame didn’t even remember him!

Daphne got home from work stressed and still promotion-less and wanting a change. Perhaps after the child is born she’ll consider making a switch, but she does love gardening. It’d be a shame to leave something she likes because the job is too stressful.

She went outside to research some plants and get the last rays of sun for the day while Caleb was at work. Even though she was exhausted, she wanted to make the most of the day. Their good friend and family photographer Lex dropped by, so Daphne invited him in for a bit! She needed a change of pace.

Daphne may not have gotten promoted, but Caleb did!

He was feeling great after that, and some time outdoors had made Daphne pretty happy too! Caleb and Daphne shared the big news with Lex, and he was VERY excited to hear he’d be an uncle! Well, not by relation or marriage, but still!

Daphne was exhausted now, though. She got herself another bite to eat and went to bed. Caleb showed Lex out and then headed to the library to get working on his next daily task for work. Luckily for him, Caleb is a night owl (night bat?) so he wasn’t feeling tired quite yet! He had another thing to celebrate, too – he hadn’t drank deeply in 2 days! Only three to go!

He was starting to feel tired as he wrapped up his gaming and tried to begin his programming skill, so he got a plasma pack and headed home. As they slept, the house reno fairy came by and finally finished expanding the house! It still needs a basement and furnishing, but it has reached its full size!

That’s all for now – we’ll see what they get up to next time! Hopefully the baby will arrive!

I'm into the sheep and goats they leaked, but tbh I don't care about horses At All and the BB/CAS are tacky. Maybe a sale item if there's something aside from goats of interest but as of now I really don't care for the new EP. What do you guys think?
