2015 has already been pretty remarkable in music, but there is much more to come. Welcome to the first Soup Sounds round-up of what’s to come and what’s already dropped this year. This review is mostly based on what we write about the most- Indie/Alternative music. It’s tailored for our followers.

20th January - American Beauty/American Psycho - Fall Out Boy | Alternative Rock | Island | 

A highly successful and very energetic record from the unstoppable punk rock quartet. Although not as good as many previous records, it will still well received by fans.

The best debut you could have wished for, contains the radio favourite ‘Under The Shadows’

17th February - Smoke + Mirrors - Imagine Dragons | Indie Rock | KIDinaKORNER / Interscope Records | 

The much anticipated second album had huge shoes to fill in the shape of Night Visions. Imagine Dragons did a great job. 

2nd March - To Kill A King - To Kill A King | Indie Rock | Xtra Mile Recordings / Communion Records |

An album filled to the brim with much faster, euphoric songs.

how to write Bastille fanfiction: a phrase book/help sheet

-insert random Bastille lyrics everywhere -Dan’s vocabulary MUST ONLY consist of the words ‘Wicked’ and ‘Mental’. NO EXCEPTIONS. -Kyle loves cats and if that’s not clear by the end of the fanfiction then it’s wrong. -Dan MUST be awkward or anxious. NO EXCEPTIONS. -The band must be together ALL THE TIME. Unless it’s a fanfiction about a specific member where the rest of the band come as a unit. -The band must always talk one after the other in a conversation to another character. They are one. They all have to participate in the conversation no matter how irrelevant their contributions are. -The plot MUST be like a TV soap. Expect lots of misfortune. -LOVE TRIANGLE -the main character will probably be a Bastille fan -If it’s not set in London it’s not right -finally, there must be a lot of illegal things and things that make no sense and also lots of medical dilemmas which are solved incorrectly. I think I am gonna do my english presentation on mandatory body cameras on american police.

Suggestions for both pros and cons are very welcome. Yes, I have done research but I would love to hear more personal sides of opinions from people instead of those of researchers and so called experts.
