Tell me, how do you like Chicago? What is your name, I don't think I ever got it.

No, I'm one of those people who can afford to like any day in the week.

Are you one of those impossibly cheery people who finds the bright side in every situation too?

I won’t say I don’t like them, they’re just difficult to get through.

Camilla didn't care too much for how Jasper felt or reacted. She hadn't come seeking out sympathy in the other Elite, the emotion was much better found in other people, she had merely sought out company, perhaps a sly compliment and the reassurance that whatever made her so completely herself was still there, and hadn't been lost in all the confusion and horror of the past few days. There was a guilt that made the rum slide down a little thicker, lacking the appropriate soothing properties that she had desired when she had originally grabbed up the drink, but she was certain that Jasper had little interest in how indebted she felt towards a woman who now held a price that she could never repay.
She had to scoff, shaking her head. “Don't be silly darling,” Camilla cooed, “I'd never get myself involved in anything as foolish as love.” She was attached to Scarlett, it was undeniable, or she would never spend so much time and tolerance on the brash woman, but the thought of being tied to just one person, to be stuck with their demons as well as her own, it was enough for her to contest the idea completely. “I think she went alone,” the brunette said, sipping at her drink once more, “I don't really know, I just found her in my driveway.”
Camilla uncrossed her legs, recrossing them after a minute, no longer feeling the need to be seductive, any drop towards the notion becoming purely unintentional, just a product of years of grooming herself to become desirable. She looked up, dark eyes finding his, and she offered the man a smile. “I know that she'll be alright, she's Scarlett.” Camilla didn't want to admit that her concern was more selfish. It wasn't Scarlett that worried her, the petite brunette always found her way out of the most dire of situations, it was herself. “Can you imagine what a state I'd be in right now? You'd be serving me rum through a straw.” She wrinkled her fine nose, before glancing at Jasper with her usual ease. “Let's change the subject. What have you been occupying yourself with as of late, and how is that statue of mine coming along?” The teasing pulled into her words easily, she found herself merciless when it came to Jasper, for the male who knew she wouldn't give in was always just as ready to play along with her games.
Perhaps, Maybe || Camilla & Jasper
Surveying Camilla over the rim of his glass, Jasper merely shot her a smug smile and shrugged. “You tell yourself that, beautiful,” he replied cockily. Her praise only served to make him chuckle. If he thought for just one moment that she actually meant it, he would make his move in a heart beat, but unfortunately for him, he knew that her visit had most likely been a means to an end, an easy escape route that she had accepted far too quickly.
As Camilla explained Scarlett’s condition, Jasper tried to summon some morsel of remorse for their fellow Elite. He failed. Miserably. Despite his desire to appear sympathetic, at the very least for Camilla’s sake, Jasper simply couldn’t bring himself to care. Scarlett had always, always, been a thorn in his side. Forever spreading rumors about his apparent softness, dragging him into problems and leaving him no choice but to prove to everyone that he wasn’t as weak as Scarlett said. Too many times did he have blood on his hands that Scarlett had helped smear there. She wasn’t entirely to blame, of course. Jasper wasn’t that ignorant to know that his pride was a major contributing factor, but the ability of the beauty with the mismatched eyes to push him in all the wrong places was also an underlying factor.
"Ah, the lengths some people go through for love," he commented, still watching Camilla carefully. He couldn’t even begin to pretend that he had any idea what the relationship between Scarlett and Camilla was like. For whatever reason, Scarlett had saved Camilla from the punishment, and that in itself spoke volumes. "Did she not have sense to at least have a servant accompany her to the punishment centre?" he asked, rolling his eyes. "Or was the great Scarlett Pearce simply too proud to have any witnesses. Or perhaps she knew that more than one person would take delight in her pain?" Despite his indifference, Jasper couldn’t remain completely detached by Camilla’s mood. It was obviously affecting her a lot more than she was willing to admit. Leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees, still nursing his drink, Jasper looked at her seriously. "She’ll be okay," he said, slightly surprised by how much he meant it. "She’s Scarlett Pearce. Nothing could possibly take her down. I expect that’s why she did it, because we both know you wouldn’t have been able to handle it."

I lost interest, to be honest, but I thought she did improve the scenery.
I’m just letting Jaz borrow her. You’re free to use her whenever.

I bet he’s a lot cheaper than Alice was. What happened to her, I don’t see her anywhere any more.

Does he know the command stop mauling Camilla? Because I’d like that peace of mind before I pet him. He looks like a cuddler.
