Life is boring, except for flowers, sunshine, your perfect legs. A glass of cold water when you are really thirsty. The way bodies fit together. Fresh and young and sweet. Coffee in the morning. These are just moments. I struggle with the in-betweens.

“im just so tired im not even staring at the blank wall anymore, its not about the blank wall its about the ticking, the ticking from that fucking clock thats hung slightly crooked, the ticking is this constant reminder from the clock letting you know it is present in your blank mind, constantly reminding you that you are trapped, you cannot get away from this constant ticking all night, you turn from the clock on that blank wall cuz suddenly the ticking is turning into pounding and its reminding you of the smell of his bedroom, the smell that is still left in your hair and on your clothes, sweet honey and cigarettes, the smell of love and fear all tied into one, this smell, this pounding, this constant reminder makes you strip from all of your clothes, you stand there in the middle of your room with the clock ticking on the blank wall behind you, but it is no longer the ticking from the clock that you are focussed on its the silent nudge the mirror across the floor is giving you, reminding you that this is what youve become, you stand bare on your floor while the mirror reminds you of who you are and the ticking reminds you of who you lost”
— the ticking is becoming unbearable

I realize, for the first time, how very lonely I’ve been, and how comforting the presence of another human being can be.

Netflix and Chill
You asked if you could come home with me. But only if you’re my rider beside me Down for whatever Let’s go to the movies and eat a fancy dinner after. I don’t want a nextflix and chill romance. I want college educated and house sitting on a hill romance. The type that makes you feel like every morning is better when I wake up next to you. Not bae can you press pause and cut off the lights. It’s about to get real type thing. Real as in getting on one knee and say baby I’m giving you this promise ring. Not baby can you make sure it’s the real butter popcorn this time. Netflix and chill I thought we were on this same page. But you’d rather watch a movie than talk about our next chapter. Because your book ended the morning after. And my book is left with a page that said this is the end of this chapter With you, so chill. Next time I go out with someone if I hear those three words, you’ll get four back. “Netflix and Chill” “I don’t want you” “Baby what happen” “Netflix and Chill” January 4, 2016

you go about your life, right? just doing your everyday things just going through the motions but not really living. not noticing the small changes in your lifestyle yet they occur every day, every hour. and it isn’t until time and space have separated you from that person you love, the one you knew in a previous phase of your life it isn’t until you cross paths with them again that you realise a lot more has changed than you thought. you have developed and evolved grown and learned accumulated and lost felt and understood loved and despised and maybe you have missed that person and maybe you haven’t maybe you have forgotten about them entirely and thought you would never see each other again but maybe you have anticipated your next meeting nervously, anxiously, in trepidation because you do not know what they will make of your new persona and the judgement of those you love is far more important than society’s so you have never tried to conform and that is who the person you’ve become truly is.
