Final Exhibition
These are the final Pictures of the exhibition. I think that overall it was very successful even though some things never went to plan. Each member of the group had an artist statement next to there work to show the public what the work was about. As a group, we were able to solve the problem and create a really good outdoor exhibition.

Exhibition set up
i decided to take photographs of us putting up our exhibition. I think that even though we had a problem with the gazebo, we were able to solve the problem by using two cars and two bikes to display our work on.

Exhibition Setup
As a group, we decided to do a mock up of the exhibition on the Monday, the day before the event. We were not able to practice with the car and bike as Liam’s friend was only able to bring them on the Tuesday so we decided to try to do a practice with the gazebo. As we started building the roof, some of the poles where missing and we weren’t able to use the gazebo so we had to think of another way in which we could exhibit our work.
Since Kingsley also drove a car as he was carrying the gazebo, we asked if we could use his car as part of the exhibition and connect the two cars with string which would be long enough for two BMX bikes. and then myself, Emily, and Francesca decided to display our work on Liam’s friend’s car which he had brought for us to use.

Final Mounted images
I decided to mount my final prints as i thought that this would make the photographs more secure and sturdy for the exhibition. However the only time I had mounted images was in the first module i did of the first year of university and as I spent my first year of university at Carmel College, I was not confident with the mounting as you can tell on the edges that they are not straight which is quite disappointing as it didn’t look as professional as I wanted it to be.

Sign for Exhibition
I thought that as we are having an outside exhibition, it would be good to make a sign to tell people about the event. i decided to create a simple sign telling the public when and where the exhibition would be held. My group told me to print 4 signs off as we could put them up on the way to the exhibition so they could follow the signs to the our exhibition.

Final images
These are my final six images which i am going to display within the exhibition. i have decided to print them 8x10 inches and i have left a white border around it so i will be able to use the bulldog clips to hold the work up in the gazebo. As it is an outside exhibition, I have decided to Laminate my photographs so that if the weather is bad and it does rain, my photographs will be protected.

Quick Drawing of set up of the Exhibition
After a long discussion with my group about the theme Journey and how we could respond to the carpark venue we decided to use a car, a bike and a gazebo. We decided on having a gazebo because when we looked at the weather online it said it was going to rain so we wanted something to protect the work. We decided on having these things because we thought that those are the type of things which you would take with you or use on a journey. I thought that i would draw a quick sketch of the setup of the venue so we could picture it visually. As there are 6 of us we decided to separate the places of where each of us to display our work, as shown above. Inspired by The Caravan Gallery, i wanted to hang my image in the gazebo on a washing line using either pegs or bulldog clips. So I will make my images about A4 size so i can display them as 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom.
Individual jobs where given out and i had to buy some string to act as washing line, gaffer tape (to secure the string which will be tied to the gazebo to display images) and bulldog clips to have the images secured on to the string incase they blew away in the wind as we were having an outside exhibition.

Sequence Five
As I only had a small amount of time to shoot my sequences, i decided to put sequence five and six as part of my series because i like how the lines and angles of the photograph help the audience to follow the image. I think if i had more time i would of shot more sequences in the rain as my other four all consisted of people using umbrella’s where as on these ones it was a dry day. However i think that all six sequence go very well together and are conherant to each other

Sequence One
Inspired by Eadweard Muybridge, i decided to create sequences of the people who I had seen on my journey around Liverpool. I wanted to consider the leading lines and angles in all of my sequences so that they would follow the movement of the person depicted in the photograph. I decided to add a few adjustments on photoshop as i wanted to have a series of images i wanted them to look cohesive with each other. For the development of these images, I am planning on have 2 images i one photograph to make a sequenced photograph similar to Eadweard Muybridge.

Frame Making Workshop
To make our own frames, we had to select the piece of wood of our choice to make our frame. Using the bandsaw, i cut the piece of wood down the middle long ways so i got 2 thinner pieces of wood. i gave my 2 pieces of wood to Tim who then sanded down all the edges of the wood of the wood as i wasn’t able to do it myself because it was too dangerous. I had to measure the sizes of the sides of my frame and as i wanted it to be square, i measured it to 31cm square and mark down a 45 degree mark on each end of each piece of the frame and cut piece using the bandsaw. I then had to cut an indent on the pieces of wood so that the perspex and back board would then be places at the back. Finally i glued all the pieces together and using blocks and string to secure the frame until the next week.
Once it was dry, i got a block of sandpaper to sand down the front of the frame and the sides. To polish the frame, I used beeswax in clean and polish the edges of the frame.
To make the perspex and backboard fit into the frame, i had to measure and use the laser cutter to cut out both the perspex and the back board.
In order for the perspex and back board to stay on, I had to use two plastic bits which i had to drill into the frame so that they would stay in place. For the frame to hand. i drill in two loops on either side of the frame and using wire to wrap around the loops and then pull tight and wrap around the other loop to create a secure hanging frame.

Group Presentations
In the middle of the module, we were told to create a small group presentation for the exhibition of how it will look, where is it, who has inspired us and so on. My job in the presentation was to work on the people who had inspired us. i didn’t not put any information on the slide as i thought i would say who they are and why they had inspired us. Unfortunatly, i was unable to make the group presentation because of transport problems but as soon as i got into university, i asked my group how the presentation went and they said that it was very good and worked out very well.
