every ‘what your favorite romanced character in bg3 says about you’ post I've seen gets why I like the characters fundamentally wrong.

no I do not prefer wyll out of the other male characters because I like the traditionally romantic ones, I prefer him because he swallows all his bad feelings so he can continue to be a light in the dark for those he saves; because his anger has been so long contained, because he believes resentment isn't productive, because he only ever wants to direct it to those that do evil, that he says crazy shit like making someone choke in their own blood (and thinks that's a reasonable thing to throw in a conversation). I love him because he so easily admits that he's wrong, even when it means turning his entire worldview around. and also because he's a dork, who can meow at you unprompted, dances like a male bird to flirt, and loves monster romance novels. all these facets are inside one single man who only ever lets the hero persona out because he believes that's the only part of him who is necessary for the world. because he doesn't know that everything in him is to be loved, even after he's been touched by the infernal.
