A while ago I saw someone say that Percy Jackson is a Slytherin and my head has been spinning ever since. Percy Jackson…a Slytherin? No, no, no, no….Look I’m not one of those people who automatically views all Slytherins are evil. I know some heroes can be Slytherins. I’m totally okay with people shorting good guys into Slytherin…as long as that person actually exhibits Slytherin traits. Which Percy does not. Slytherins value ambition, cunning, and power. When has Percy every shown that he cares about any of that? We’re talking about the guy who turned down the chance to become an immortal, powerful god at the age of 16. And who less than a year later was willing to step down from the praetorship of Rome after having it for about a day without a second thought because Jason returned. How is he a Slytherin?

if you think rick riordan deserves hate then you need to rethink your entire fucking life. i just saw some post saying that he "mostly deserves" it. mf Rick is one of the most progressive authors out there and he writes for children. he has made an incredibly diverse cast of characters, dips into so many different worlds. obviously, feedback and critiques are important and he LISTESN to it. but hate???? hate??? on this old dude who is trying his fucking best to make his work a reflection of the world?? who is openly inclusive and is just plain nice??? who educated himself and writes so minorites can be heard and see themselves in books??
