Pottertalia rambles #3: Scotland edition!

It's a small brainworm that I've had for a while now, but basically Scotland is a Unicorn handler!

Hogwarts called him over to rent a Unicorn for Care of Magical creatures. Probably set around book 5.

The chosen Unicorn is one specifically bred to tolerate males.

My personal headcanon is that Unicorns have a gene that makes them avoid human male pheromones and hormones.

So Scotland chose one that lacked the gene and bred more Unicorns that don't have the specific gene.

The gene exists for the Unicorn's protection though, so Scotland still trains them to look out for signs of aggression regardless of gender so the Unicorns can avoid people with bad intentions.

Scotland is very gentle when handling the Unicorn and encourages the students not to be pushy or loud lest they frighten the Unicorn.

The Golden Trio and most other students understand and follow instructions.

Draco does not. What did you expect?

Instead of attacking, the Unicorn just casually trots behind Scotland.

Cue Scotland coaching Draco on how to properly approach Unicorns.

Draco doesn't care. He's like a kid who likes to tease/scare cats by stomping his foot next to them.

Scotland lets his temper get the best of him and puts Draco in his place and puts him in a timeout from the lesson until he stops being rude.

He also demands a 2k word essay from Draco about why etiquette is important.

Overall, the students have a blast hanging out with the Unicorn.

Until Umbridge arrives and oversees the lesson.

The Unicorn is visibly uncomfortable and it worries Scotland.

He knows his Unicorns well, and the one he brought was the most tolerable and affectionate one he's ever raised.

Of course he starts to get warry around Umbridge.

He writes to England and Wales about the shady DADA professor.

Cue an investigation.

It's 4am and I've made some doodles of Teyvat/Genshin!America.

Consider this a little draft from the Genshin Impact x Hetalia crossover AU thing that I did.

A little background on Alfred on this AU:

He comes from Mondstat and lives with his brother, Matthew. Together, the two of them pilot an airship that is bound to Liyue and Fontaine so that Mondstat can trade with those nations.

Inazuma is dangerous to travel to via airship so they don't really go there often and Sumeru is a challenge to traverse because of the sandstorm from the desert side and the abundance of trees in its Forests making it difficult to land properly; so unless their destination is just Sumeru City, the entire nation of Sumeru is not on their list of their airship's traversable destinations.

As for Alfred's anemo vision, I kind of want to follow the trend of anemo characters having a dead loved one- so for Alfred, it would probably be Davie.

A little Genshin lore for Alfred: He's the same species as Alice and Klee! Him and Matthew have long life spans and their body type in-game would probably be the boy model (characters like Scaramouche and Kazuha).

Anyways, I'm gonna sleep now and will probably be posting soon.

Eyo- Claymore magic metal pipe of pain ✨️

My demo version of Russia design.

I think that after seeing this post, I wanted to create a design for Russia in Genshin Impact and, in principle, make him like a character that would be look like a playable one. The design is still raw, but I'm sure I should combine Imperial Russia and Soviet Russia(I'm talking about clothes & fashion) at the same time, adding more folk elements(like imitation of Gzhel on a scarf). Lower I will show my notes and sketches.

Features: in cold regions he wears his ushanka, in hot regions he has a phrase "it's pretty hot weather today, isn't it?"

I think that the ult animation screen would look similar to the sketch below where he says "protect me, General Frost!", but analoug with "help me, General Frost" is also good. His element will be cryo just because there is conflict inside him. He himself is kind and innocent, but his “evil essence” prevents him from making friends without scaring others and he is childishly cruel without realizing it, but he's still trying to make friends.(According to one theory, the cryo is given to those who have a conflict within themselves, for example, Diona has a talent for making drinks, but because of her father she hates alcohol.) No matter how obvious it may sound, but anyway.. his signature weapon is a "Metal pipe of pain".

Here I drew General Frost on the left. I think General Frost will work as a boost to ATK or a krit. chance. I think Russia would be a powerful support or sub. damager(like kazuha), especially for cryo characters.

I didn't talk about where he's from or what he even does; ofc, he is from Snezhnaya, he works on Fatui, but because he's acting like child, he was not taken very seriously. He often sings famous songs like "Katyusha" or even has waiting animations with playing on the balalaika(typical russian, huh?),. Also, I think he knows Tartaglia, maybe he even fought him once. Russia can often ask to visit others, for example, China(in li yue) and France(in fountain). I haven’t thought about what his E would be and so on.. Anyway.. I just wanted to leave this here, maybe someone would like to take this idea further too!

This may all be stupid, but it makes me feel better.
