wildest dreams - aurelien tchouameni.
requested by - @certainsaturn
author’s note - this is specified to an asian reader!
Tumblr media
you were panicking.
it was your first time travelling by aeroplane, usually depending on cars or trains. but today you couldn’t seeing as though you were going from valencia to boredeaux.
you were texting your sister who was telling you to just go and get something to eat and stop worrying. after paying, you walked off to a lounge close by where your plane was taking off from.
a boy, around your age, was sitting there, half asleep but trying to keep himself awake. he had a travel pillow wrapped around his neck and you tried to hold in your laughs at how silly he looked.
“excuse me, is this plane flying to bordeaux?”
he opened his eyes at your sudden question, confused for a moment but he nodded. “yes, it shouldn’t be too long now.”
aurelien could sense how nervous you were. “first time?”
“yes. can you tell?”
he gave you a sympathetic smile. he still remembered the first time he flew by plane, and it definitely wasn’t an experience to be remembered.
“what are you going to bordeaux for?” he wondered. “i’m a music producer. going to work with an upcoming artist over there.”
“i’m just visiting family until work starts up again,” he told you, trying to play it cool.
the noise came over the speakers to tell you that your flight was boarding. both of you stood up, and you said goodbye and wished each other a safe journey.
“i’m aurelien, by the way.”
“y/n. it was nice to meet you.”
aurelien was a couple of people behind you in the queue to board and when he got on, he was surprised to see you in the seat next to him.
“well, this is a coincidence,” he laughed, relaxing into the seat.
he figured that if you were going to be sitting together for the rest of the flight, he might as well get to know you for a bit.
“so, where are you from?”
“singapore originally, but when i got my job i work all over. i lstill live in singapore, though. what do you do for work?”
aurelien didn’t want to sound big-headed, but he was surprised you didn’t know who he was. “i’m a footballer. that’s where i’m coming back from, actually. i’m just not travelling with my teammates because i’m visiting my family.”
you raised your eyebrows, double checking him to see if you recognised him but you didn’t. “sorry, i don’t really keep up with sports or anything like that.”
“don’t worry, i don’t keep up with music producing either,” he laughed, cracking a joke to try and make you cheer up because the flight was about to take off.
+
things between you and aurelien were going great and you really hit it off. you both walked to the exit of the airport together, and even exchanged numbers.
“so, y/n. where are you staying?”
“oh, just some hotel. my manager said he was going to set it up for me.”
aurelien pondered on the thought for a moment. if he invited you back to his family home, you could stay there free of charge and he could at least have a friend instead of just him and his parents.
“i know we just met and everything, but do you want to stay at mine? it’s close by and free.”
you had just met aurelien, and he wondered if he was being too pushy or creepy by inviting you to stay at his.
but to be honest, you didn’t want to be alone in a hotel and if his parents were there, surely everything would be okay.
“sure, why not.”
he hailed a taxi and you both got in the back, aurelien directing him to his family home.
it was a beautiful house in the country, with a lake for fishing and even a patch for fruit and vegetables. “my mum takes pride in her house, but she’s a lovely woman. i think she’ll like you.”
his family dog immediately jumped on you when you entered and you cuddled him, leaving aurelien to let his parents know about you.
when his mum came out, she seemed like a really nice woman, rushing you off the kitchen to show you her new plants and things.
his family were extremely welcoming and loved you, constantly telling aurelien that they think you were the one for him.
but he’d push them away in private, telling them you were just a friend and nothing more.
+
it had been an amazing year for aurelien. you were living in madrid for a while due to work when he told you that real madrid want him to play for them.
you were aware of the football club, how could you not be?
they were one of the most decorated clubs in history and you were incredibly proud of aurelien for getting a transfer there.
he had been apartment hunting ever since he touched down in madrid, and it wasn’t going well. so you offered your home to him until he found somewhere.
but there was a problem.
aurelien was bringing back women every now and then. most of the time, you’d spend the night out somewhere to leave them be, but you couldn’t help but feel jealous.
all of the women looked different to you, and it made you upset. you cried on the phone to your sister plenty of times, confessing how you really liked him, more than a friend.
he obviously had a type, and they didn’t look like you.
“hey, is it okay if i bring eduardo over tonight? just for dinner?”
“yeah, sure.”
you didn’t mind one bit. eduardo was a likeable guy and always made you laugh and feel good about yourself.
when he got here, you pulled him in for a hug. he returned it, ignoring aurelien’s little glare and asked how you had been.
you all ordered some takeout food, eating it whilst watching a movie. that was when aurelien’s phone began ringing and he left the room to answer.
you and eduardo listened in discreetly and it was obvious he was talking to a girl. “you like him, don’t you?”
your head shout up, signalling for him to be quiet. if aurelien knew, you were scared it would ruin the friendship and leave. “please don’t tell anyone.”
“i won’t. you know he likes you too, right?”
scoffing, you shook your head and sighed, “i’m not even his type. i’m-i’m just his friend…”
eduardo chose not to touch on the subject again for the rest of the night in front of aurelien, until he said he was going out for the night.
“oh, where are you going?”
“just to see some woman i met on a dating app.”
it felt like your heart had been took out of your chest and stomped all over. you should have been used to it by now, but the thought of him with someone else was upsetting.
“i’ll walk down with you. i’ll see you soon, y/n.”
eduardo kissed your cheek as the two boys left your apartment together.
as they were in the lift, eduardo wanted to help you both in some way. and the only way he could that wasn’t nice, but it would be worth it to see his two friends happy together.
“i was um… i was thinking of asking y/n out on a date.”
aurelien stopped texting the woman, turning his phone off to look at eduardo. “are you serious?”
“yep. she’s a very beautiful woman and she’s kind to me. i think i like her.”
suddenly his date didn’t feel important to him anymore. not after eduardo had confessed that to him.
+
“how was your date?”
aurelien was surprised to see you still awake seeing as though you were supposed to be flying out to america tomorrow for the grammy awards.
if he was being honest, aurelien blew her off. told her some bullshit about ‘a family emergency.’
his mood had totally soured after he had left eduardo and he just walked around town for a bit before coming back.
“i didn’t go,” he confessed. you furrowed your eyebrows, standing up to go and check if he was okay. he didn’t look it.
aurelien was tearing up.
“what’s wrong? did she do something to you?”
“no, no. it’s my fault, really.”
confusion filled you. what was wrong with him?
you grabbed his hands, pulling him into you. it was something you had been doing for ages. whenever he was upset, you’d pull him in for a hug and he’d spill.
but he didn’t move.
he pulled away.
“what is it?”
you were worried. the frenchman sighed and rubbed his face with the palms of his hands.
“i was speaking to eduardo earlier. he-he said he was going to ask you on a date.”
it was news to you. eduardo hadn’t even shown an ounce of interest in you in that sense, and then it hit you. you knew exactly what he was doing.
“and what’s that got to do with your date?”
“it ruined my mood.”
you scoffed, crossing your arms, “why would eduardo asking me out ruin your mood?”
aurelien looked at you like you were stupid. how did you not know that he liked you?
“because i like you!” he burst out, moving towards you now and grabbing your own hands.
“me? you like me?”
aurelien sighed, shaking his head and whispering, “why wouldn’t i like you?”
“i thought i wasn’t your type.”
“how can you not be anyone’s type? you’re gorgeous!”
his words felt like a warm blanket being wrapped around you, sparking fireworks in your stomach that you didn’t even know was possible.
you could tell he was waiting for an answer but you were rendered speechless. never in your wildest dreams did you think aurelien would be stood there, confessing he liked you.
“you are the girl i want. none of those instagram models who love my money. you’re my best friend, and i want us to be together.”
squeezing your eyes shut, you pinched the inside of your palm to see if you were dreaming. aurelien swallowed, his adam’s apple bobbing up and down before he said, “i love you.”
“you love me?”
“i’d me crazy not to.”
you giggled and aurelien compared it to sunshine in his mind. “so will you have me?”
nodding, you smiled at him and whispered, “i’d be crazy not to.”

Xavi Simons - Hair
You arrive home and hear cries:
"Xav?" You say
You open the door and see him trying to untangle his hair
"Hey hey hey"
You remove the brush from his hands
You hold out your hand to him
"Come on, let's go to the living room"
"I'm horrible." Xavi says
"No, you’re not, you're beautiful"
"I'll arrange that for you, okay" You answer
"I don't like my braids." He tells you
"Do you want me to do your hair again?" You ask
"I don't like my hair."
"Go sit down i’ll be ready in a few." You say
"Do you actually know how to do that?" He asks
"There's nothing I can’t do" You wink at him and he laugh
Xavi smiles at you lovingly
You take everything you need and go back to the living room
"Sit comfortably baby." You say
He sits open his arms for you and you go hug him
You kiss his cheek multiple times and he smiles
"Are you hungry? Or thirsty maybe?"
"No, I'm fine."
You undo his braids and see him watching you
"Xav?"
"I didn't do anything, it's not true!" He says
You smile and laugh
"Do you want to have your hair out of your face?" You ask
"Yes please."
"Ok."
30 minutes later and you’re half in
"How do you know how to do that?" He asks
"I learned to do it."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"You're really the best on all this earth."
"Stop flirting with me because it’s working" You answer smiling
He laugh
"I’m done soon."
"I still can't see?"
"When it's over please"
"Okay, okay."
•••
"All done!"
You fix his hair and then kiss him
"Can I go and see?"
"Of course."
You sit on your couch
He comes back and kisses you
"I love it!"
"You're so beautiful my love." You tell him
"I’m blushing." He answers and you smile at him
"I could always have a second career."
"You're so good at it but please can I be your only personal customer?"
He kisses your hand
You shake hands
You kiss each other while laughing

actually @ every fanfiction writer whether you wrote something that got thousands of reblogs and comments and became a staple in your fandom, or you wrote one fic and deleted it, or you write mutilchaptered fics that never get a final update, or write short fics, or long fics, or used to write and now you don’t, or you deleted/orphaned your works, or you only share with friends:
thank you.
sharing your writing is hard. and sometimes it’s thankless. sometimes it’s such a negative experience that I wonder how anyone does it at all. but you are needed; you are wanted. whether or not we properly acknowledge it, you are a vital part of fandom culture. thanks for sharing.

Good Together | 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Mason Mount x Reader
Summary: Reader is a single mom and the new Social Media Executive of the club and Mason falls in love with her at first sign.
Word count: 2293
Author's note: English isn't my first language, so I apologise for my mistakes. I'm also pretty sure I got some words American - British mixed up.
Call me friend but keep me closer (call me back) And I'll call you when the party's over
It has been four months since you returned to England. The home you had been away from for far too long. A new house and a new job were just what you needed in your life.
After you left and made a living in the States, you felt the need to come back home and be close to your family and old friends. Everything felt right.
"Yes mum, tomorrow is fine." You were tidying your desk before leaving when your phone rang. "Listen, I have to go, but I'll call you when I get home. Say hi to Dad for me. Love you too."
You ended the call and grabbed your handbag with some papers to take home. Before closing the door, you grabbed Noah's bag, which he had left on the floor even though you told him to put it on the sofa.
You were looking at the papers in your hand when you saw Chilwell enter, with his hair sweaty and laughing alone. He looked up and pointed his finger at you.
"You!" Even though you hadn't been in the club that long, everyone on the team made you feel welcome, especially the boys because you were about the same age as most of them. "Your boy is going to be a footballer."
You laughed at his comment. "He kicked a lot when I was pregnant. Where is he?"
"He's still in the field." You furrow your brows. Why was he still there? You thought to yourself. "He's playing with Kai and Mason." Your heart did a little jump when you heard his name, something that had happened since the first time you saw him. "You have to go get him or they'll stay there for the rest of the day." He said goodbye and went into the changing room.
You took a deep breath and tried to calm your heart. You hadn't seen Mason all day and you expected it to stay that way, but your son had other plans for you.
You felt like a teenager in love when you were around the handsome footballer.
"Noah!" You shouted at the boys on the field. Kai was lying down on the grass, breathing heavily, while Noah was trying to take the ball away from Mason.
"Mum!" Noah shouted back when he heard his name. The game stopped automatically and everyone looked at you. Without realising it, your eyes stayed on Mason longer than necessary. "No. Already?" He whined.
Kai stood up and Mason picked up the ball. With a sad expression on his face and Mason's hand on his shoulder, Noah and the two boys walked towards you.
"It's time to go. It's already late. Mason and Kai can't play with you forever."
"They're unstoppable, of course they can." The two footballers laughed at the boy's remark. "Let's stay a little longer, please." He pleaded, giving you those puppy eyes.
"Noah, they want to go too." The boy looked at Mason and then at Kai.
Kai shrugged his shoulders. "Mate, mothers are always right. We can play tomorrow!" He smiled and messed up his hair.
He looked down at the ground and heaved a sigh. "I can't tomorrow. I have a school trip."
Mason, like everyone at the club, really liked your son and when he saw how sad he looked and sounded, he couldn't just let him go home. He knew he'd give you a hard time for not letting him stay longer. "He can stay with me. I'll take him home." Noah's eyes lighten up.
Since their approach, you looked Mason in the eyes for the first time. "I cannot ask that of you."
"You're not asking. I'm offering." Beside him, Kai smiled subtly at his friend's amorous look. "And it's on my way home."
"I don---"
Noah hugged you and quickly interrupted what you were about to say. "Please, mum. Pleaseeeee. I'll never ask you for anything else ever again." You rolled your eyes, knowing full well he wouldn't keep his promise, not even for a day. "He has a Lamborghini." He whispered loudly enough.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Mason smile. Oh, that smile!
"And we have a Ford in your favourite colour." He pouted. You gave Mason one last look to make sure everything was okay, and he nodded. Were you seriously going to leave your son with a guy you hadn't known for that long? Mason Mount really made you feel like you were out of control. You squatted down to his level and held him still. "Listen to Mason. Don't give him any trouble. Be nice. Agreed?" Noah smiled and nodded. He hugged you one last time before grabbing the ball from Mason's hand and running back onto the field.
"He has a future in football. He kicked our butts back there." Said Kai to you.
"Yeah, that's what Ben said too."
"Don't worry about it. I'll text you when we leave." Something in his voice and his words made you feel good, maybe because you knew how good he was with children. How good he was with Noah.
"Thanks, Mason. Just… don't stay because he wants you to. If you want to go, drag him out."
You said your goodbyes, leaving the two friends behind. Mason followed you with his eyes until you disappeared.
"What?" He asked when he saw Kai already looking at him with his arms folded and a grin on his face.
"Just ask her out. You two are making me gag with so much tension."
"Do you think I haven't already?" It was true that Mason had a gigantic crush on you. Everyone knew it. And so did you. It wasn't a secret. He never tried to hide it. Every opportunity he had to get close to you, he took it. The only obstacle was you. "She pushes me away every time. I take one step forward, she takes two steps back."
"Probably because she's afraid you'll break her heart. I know she likes you." He looked at your son, who was running around with the ball. "We don't know what happened with her and Noah's father. It probably didn't end well and that's why she's the way she is."
There was no question that you were better at hiding your feelings than Mason, but it was obvious to everyone that he was more than just a colleague of yours.
"I'll ask her again when I've dropped Noah off. I'm not giving up on her that easily. I really like her. I really do."
You were watching the latest episode of your favourite show when you got Mason's text saying they were on their way home. You couldn't help but feel nervous. What would you do when Mason showed up at your door with your son by his side? Would you let him in? Would he want to come in? Would he try to flirt like he always does?
You stopped scratching your nails and got up from the sofa. You went to the kitchen and started cleaning it. You had to do something to clear your head.
You had just finished drying the dishes, something you never do, when you heard and saw the headlights of Mason's car through the window. You felt the butterflies in your stomach, something that never happened with Noah's father.
Mason parked the car next to yours and looked back at your son, who after five minutes had fallen asleep in the car he was so looking forward to. He got out of the car and opened the back door. He took the belt off Noah's body and carefully lifted him up.
You opened the door before he could knock. You had a gentle expression on your face when you saw your son in Mason's arms. He looked peaceful, with his little arms around his neck and his head on his shoulder.
"He fell asleep on the way here."
You smiled. "'After dinner and a good bath, he'll sleep all night. Why don't you come in?" You took a step back to let him into the house.
"I'm sorry. I lost track of time."
You slowly closed the door behind them. "It's fine."
He looked around quickly. "Do you want to wake him up or…?"
"Yes. Just let me heat the bath water for him." Mason handed you your son and the little boy slowly opened his eyes and said something under his breath that he didn't understand. "Make yourself at home. I'll be right back.
Mason bit his lip as he watched you walk down the hall and disappear into a room he assumed was the bathroom.
While you were gone, he took the time to look at the photos on the wall. Most were of Noah when he was a baby, and some were probably of your parents and grandparents. But it was one photo in particular, lying on the coffee table next to your sofa, that caught his attention and he couldn't help but pick it up.
It was a photo of you in black and white. You had a travel bag next to you and a big smile on your face. You looked happy and he couldn't help smiling when he saw the photo.
He put down the frame when he heard the notification of his phone. He pulled it out of his jacket and saw a message from Kai in the group they had with the boys on WhatsApp.
Kai: @Mason M. asked her out already? Ben: What's going on? Has our boy grown a pair? Mason: Shut up you two!
You cleared your throat. He turned around and quickly put his phone on silent, because he knew the boys would start making fun of him.
"Do you want a drink?" You went into the kitchen and he followed. "Water, tea, some kind of apple juice that only Noah likes?"
Your kitchen wasn't the biggest, but you felt that Mason had become a little too close for - the normal behaviour of your heart - your liking.
"Tea would be great." He wasn't a tea guy, but it was the choice that would get him more time with you.
"Good." You started making the tea while Mason leaned against the counter beside you. "Thanks for spending the day with him. I know it means a lot to him."
"What about you? How much did it mean to you?" There it was. With one hand in the pocket of his jogger and the other resting on the counter, he turned his body towards you. He was so close that you could feel his breath on your ear.
"Of course it means a lot to me too. Noah really likes you and I'm glad you like him too." You said without looking at him. You knew where he was going with his question, but you couldn't give him any hope. "Milk?"
"Noah isn't the only one I like." He said, ignoring your question. You swallowed the lump in your throat and turned to him, ready to tell him to stop, but he was quicker. He took a step forward and you jerk back a step. "I like his mother very much. And when I try to tell her that, she shuts down. Maybe she's scared or just doesn't want a relationship right now." You had your back against the fridge and Mason put his hand next to you, trapping you. "But I know she likes me too."
"Mason, stop." You whispered.
His eyes glanced back and forth between your eyes and your lips, and when you saw his tongue dart out to wet his own lips, you had to control yourself not to jump forward and join your lips with his.
"When will you accept my offer and go out with me?"
"I don-- we don't--"
"Just give me a chance. I won't break your heart if that's what you're worried about."
"Mason." He loved the sound of his name when you said it. "I'm a single mother of a seven-year-old boy, still have a house to pay off and a car I've been putting off changing because I need to be responsible with my money. We have completely different lives."
"Well, we like each other. Isn't that enough?" You run your hands down your face. "I don't care if you have a son or if our bank accounts have different numbers. I really like you. Like I've never liked anyone before."
You pushed his arm down so you could escape from his hold. You didn't deny that the feelings were mutual and he took that as a victory. At least now he knew he wasn't imagining the long looks you gave him when you thought he wasn't looking, or how nervous you felt every time he came closer, or the sound of your heartbeat when your lips almost touched a few times already.
He gently grasped your wrist and drew you to him. You put a hand on his chest so you wouldn't bump into him. "Just one date, please?"
You stared at him, it felt like an eternity until he started leaning down to kiss you. You weren't brave enough to push him away, and you didn't want to, so you closed your eyes instead. Your lips were about to touch when you heard Noah.
"MUM!"
You both took a step back and let out a deep sigh. "And that is why we---"
"Don't say that's why we can't be together." He put his hands playfully over his ears. "I'll wait for your answer tomorrow. Good night, beautiful." He cupped your face and a second later he walked out of the house, leaving you standing in your kitchen with a pathetic smile on your face.

Secret || Sarah Cameron x Maybank!Reader
Tumblr media
Request: can u do a sarah one were the reader is a jj’s sister and kiaras best friend but she’s secretly dating sarah and then kiara and the pogues all find out and jj’s ok with it after understanding and u can do whatever with kie 😊
“God I could stay here forever,” You moan, digging your face into Sarah’s hair as the two of you cuddle on her large bed.
“I wish you never had to leave,” She agrees. You two had been dating for four months now and while neither of you were ashamed of the other you’d mutually agreed to keep it quiet for awhile.
“JJ gets home in an hour and he’s expecting me to be home. I can’t have Kiara cover for me again, she’s starting to get suspicious.” You loved your brother dearly but he was protective, especially since he’d practically been serving as your father figure for years. Your best friend Kiara had been covering for you a lot since you and Sarah had gotten together but she was starting to ask questions and you were afraid of how she would react if she knew the truth. Her and Sarah didn’t have the best relationship.
“Yeah Rafe will be home from golfing soon and if he spots you it’ll be hell on earth. No offense.” She apologizes at the end and you shrug. You didn’t blame her for her brother’s hatred for the pogues, especially your own brother.
“None taken. If any of my friends knew where I was right now they’d probably call me a kook sympathizer. Or a helpless victim,” You smirk while she slaps your shoulder playfully.
“They wouldn’t call you a victim if they heard how you were moaning my name twenty minutes ago.”
“No they’d just think I’d been brainwashed. The big bad Sarah Cameron got into my head and made me fall in love with her, oh no, the world is going to end.”
“Hey I’ll admit to that one. Now I get you all to myself,” She leans in and plants a sweet watermelon flavored kiss on your lips.
“I could do that all day,” You smile when you pull away but then frown, “But unfortunately I have to leave.”
“So soon?” She pouts as you stand up and start gathering your things.
“Babe believe me. If I didn’t have to go I wouldn’t be. I’ll be back at 9AM on Saturday, JJ’s working another double.” You lean down and give her another kiss and when you pull away she reaches over on her dresser to grab the expensive diamond bracelet that she always wore. It was practically pocket change to her but you’d have to save up for at least a year to be able to afford it.
“Will you wear it?” She asks, pleading up at you with her big brown eyes that you could never resist.
“I wouldn’t want to loose it,” You reply but sigh when she pouts, “If I loose this it’s on you.” You warn, slipping the expensive jewelry over your wrist.
She shrugs, “My dad gave it to me to make up for marrying Rose back before I was able to tolerate her. Do you have any idea how many ‘makeup’ gifts he’s gotten me?”
“I have an idea. I have nothing to give you of mine though.”
“Oh don’t worry. I already took my little souvenir,” She winks as she lifts up her shirt to reveal your lacy red bra covering her chest.
“Sarah Cameron you sneaky little shit,” You smirk as she laughs and pulls her shirt back down.
“I guess you’ll have to leave the girls out.”
“Yeah well me and the girls need to leave. I guess I’ll just have to take this.” You grab one of her sweatshirts off the chair next to her dresser and pull it over your head.
“Oh so my plan failed. Well if you insist. Text me later?” You nod and the two of you kiss one last time before you climb out her window and make the way towards your house.
Sometime along the way you get a text from Kie telling you everyone is meeting up at John B’s so you change your direction, walking towards the chateau. Eventually you start to get hot and, deciding that nobody is around to see your braless chest, pull off the hoodie and tie it around your waist.
When you receive another message stating that JJ is pissed and demanding to know where you are you start to speed up until you’re walking up the front steps of the house, completely forgetting to put the hoodie back on. Not that it matters, all the guys have seen you shirtless at some point anyway (it’s a long story).
You step inside the porch, immediately seeing your brother’s angry face staring back at you, “Where the hell have you been all day?”
“I- um-“ You look back at Kie to silently ask what excuse she told him. She mouths ‘sorry’ as JJ waves his hand in front or your face.
“Don’t look at her. Did you forget that I got off early today? I’ve been off work for hours Y/N. So again, where the hell have you- are you not wearing a bra? What the hell Y/N, were you out screwing someone?!” You push past him into the house.
“It’s none of your damn business where I was JJ. I’m here now aren’t I?” You pull the hoodie off your waist and toss it on the couch before sitting down and leaning back, closing your eyes.
“It is my business because I’m trying to keep you safe! It’s my responsibility as your older brother to- Y/N what the fuck is this?” You open your eyes and they quickly widen as you see what JJ is holding in front of you.
Sarahs hoodie. You didn’t realize before that it was one of her old ones from when she played volleyball and mentally curse yourself as you read ‘Cameron’ on the back in big bold lettering.
“Are you macking Rafe Cameron?! You better not be!” He yells angrily as you stand up and yank the piece of clothing out of his hands.
“Hell no! Are you crazy?!” You yell back.
“Then why the hell do you have a sweatshirt that says Cameron on the back?! Where the hell did that bracelet come from?”
“Oh my god,” Kiara breathes, stepping forward to inspect the diamonds around your wrist, immediately recognizing them, “It’s not Rafe. It’s Sarah.”
“What?” JJ steps back. Kiara was the only person who knew you were bisexual.
“Are you macking Sarah?” Kiara asks.
“Kie-“
“Just tell me Y/N. Are you macking Sarah Cameron?”
“No- yes- it’s not like that. Me and Sarah are together. Like dating.” You finally admit, staring down at the ground.
A look of betrayal comes over her face and she steps back in shock. JJ’s eyes widen as he steps forward in her place. Even John B and Pope who’d been standing off to the side watching had looks of shock on their faces.
“You’re-? Why didn’t you tell me? How long?” Your brother asks.
“Bisexual...I wasn’t ready to tell anybody. Sarah and I have been together for four months.”
“Four months?! You’ve been dating a kook for four months and didn’t tell any of us?!” John B asks.
“Yeah what happened to no secrets between pogues?” Pope continues.
“Sarah Cameron? God Y/N, what were you thinking?! You’re not dating a kook you, you’re dating the god damn kook princess! The Camerons are the worst ones!” JJ yells.
“Well maybe if you all weren’t so judgemental I would’ve told you sooner!” You yell at them angrily. You weren’t about to let them hate on your girl because they had problems with kooks.
“Sarah is nothing like Rafe or any of the other kooks. She’s kind and caring and she doesn’t hate on people simply because of what side of the island they come from. God I’m ashamed of all of you. I thought you guys were better then this.” They all look down at the ground for a moment until JJ speaks up.
“Is she good to you? Are you happy?”
You nod, “Very. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
He sighs, “Then I guess I have to accept it. You’re not a kid anymore. You’re old enough to make your own choices and if you want to be with Sarah Cameron then that’s your decision. As long as you’re happy I’m happy.” John B and Pope both nod in agreement. You smile and step forward to give your brother a hug before pulling back.
You turn towards Kie who’d been standing back, arms crossed over her chest, silent for the past few minutes. The look of betrayal hadn’t left her face and you could tell that she was not going to be easy to get on board.
“Kiara,” You say softly, stepping towards your best friend.
“I didn’t mean to. Trust me, do you think I’d really purposely go for her knowing that you two don’t get along? Of course not! Kie your my best friend, I’ll always take your feelings into consideration. I didn’t mean to fall in love with her. It just happened and now I don’t think I could live without her. Please don’t be angry, I can’t stand you being angry with me,” You plead.
“I’m not angry. It’s not your fault that you fell for her. I won’t pretend to like her but I’ll tolerate her for your sake. Just please be careful okay?” You smile and the two of you hug it out.
“Sarah Cameron, huh sis?” JJ smirks, “Wait, does that mean that we could’ve been checking out chicks together this whole time?”
“We have been, you just didn’t notice. Didn’t you ever question why most of the girls you hooked up with were always tired already?” You and the others laugh as his jaw drops, “Don’t worry bro, they’re all yours. I have a girl now and she’s pretty great.”
I’m currently on an 8 hour drive and this kept me busy for about 2 hours so thanks for requesting lol. I hope you like it! Reminder, requests are currently closed!

PART FOUR
Too nervous to drive, with your hands constantly shaking and your mind everywhere, you thought it was better to get an Uber home and leave your car at Jaz’s - for yours and, mostly, Lily’s safety. Trying to act normal around your daughter when she was such a sensitive kid was the toughest task, but she seemed convinced when you mentioned it was just a bad migraine, like the ones you usually had when you were worried about work. Instead of just asking loads of questions, Lily kissed your temple and held your hand the entire way home.
How would you tell her that she was to meet her daddy tonight? That, actually, she already knew who he was and called him ‘uncle’ because her bestie said she could, because he said she could. You digged your brain, trying to find the right words, as you watched Lily throw herself on the sofa and let out a long tired sigh.
“Why don’t we change you into something more comfortable, peanut?” She nodded but closed her eyes instead of getting up. You made the short way towards her and took her in your arms, Lily half asleep. “Come on, gorgeous. Don’t sleep on me now, I need you wide awake for your surprise.”
Though that was usually the magic word, Lily’s reaction wasn’t what you expected.
“But I’m so tired, mummy. Summer made me run after her all the time at the Zoo,” She mumbled, brushing her eyes with the back of her hand as her head now rested on your shoulder. You walked into her bedroom, turning on just the lamp on the side of her bed. “Can’t you wake me up when it’s here?”
“I suppose I can.” You replied, watching her nod with her eyes closed as you put her in bed and grabbed a pair of flannel pyjamas so she’d sleep more comfortably. Lily had both arms tightly wrapped around her stuffed bunny and didn’t help much when you started to change her, to which you just sighed, wondering for how long you’d keep doing it as she was starting to get really heavy. But then, it hit you - there was someone else who could do that, now… Mason. After they meet, he starts to become a constant presence in both of your lives.
A smile curled the sides of your lips when you heard a little snore coming from Lily and you couldn’t help but softly kiss her cheek, but as the heavy sleeper she was, she didn’t move. Making your way out of her bedroom, leaving the door slightly open just in case she woke up looking for you, you went to the kitchen and searched for that almost empty bottle of red wine in the back of the fridge. Drinking straight from the bottle, you let out a long sigh as your phone buzzed with a few notifications, all from Mason. Two follower requests and a message. You chuckled when he questioned your dad being an Arsenal fan, that amused you enough to think how it’d be when you tell your dad that Lily’s father is a Chelsea player - it amused you even more the idea of them meeting because your entire family was die hard fans of Arsenal and even Lily’s first word was ‘goal’, during a match. You were on the other side, with your mum, who didn’t care much about football.
When the sun was down and you were already slightly tipsy - not drunk, though! -, you got a message from Mason saying he’d be there in about 40 minutes and it was right when Lily woke up and silently made her way to the kitchen, looking for you and asking for water. As the grown up girl she said she was, Lily refused her bottle and opted for a Moana cup instead.
“Sweetheart,” You called her, big brown eyes looking at you as she gulped each sip as if it'd be her last. Taking her in your arms, you took Lily to the living room, sitting on the sofa with her on your leg. “Mummy needs to talk to you about something.”
Noticing your voice was serious despite the soft smile on your lips, Lily quickly asked if this was about her surprise and you just nodded. “It won’t be a surprise then, mummy.”
“It will, baby. But it’s a fantastic surprise.”
“Am I getting a puppy?” You chuckled, shaking your head.
“Not yet, peanut. This is about something else you’ve been wishing for…”
Lily’s jaw dropped, brown eyes widened at you and you could swear there was a sparkle there you’ve never seen before. Next thing, her tiny arms wrapped around your neck and she hid her face on your chest, your shirt getting instantly wet with silent tears. Your arms cradled her, giving Lily the comfort she needed that moment and though your eyes also burned a little with tears, you could only smile.
“Is it my daddy? The surprise?” She looked at you again and you brushed her cheek with your thumb, wiping off her tears. She sniffed a few times, the back of her hand scratching her little nose.
“He’ll be here in a bit to meet you.”
“Mummy! I have to wear something pretty or he won’t like me!” She jumped off your lap and rushed to her bedroom as you followed, a loud laugh parting your lips.
“He’ll love you no matter what, baby girl!” Searching for something to wear, Lily let out repeated groans of frustration. Her face lit up when she found her Arsenal shirt but you quickly took it from her hands and tossed it aside. “Not this, love. He’s a Chelsea fan.”
Lily pouted, but quickly let go of the fact her dad was a Chelsea fan, and you wondered how she’d react knowing he was way more than just a fan and that she knew who he was, although she never made any funny comments about Summer’s uncle playing for a rival team, only that she still loved her best friend and that her family was kind, that she liked them. “Mummy,” Lily called you after opting for a mini Nike set of lavender sweatpants and hoodie that Willow got her a few months ago, changing it from her pyjamas herself, without any sort of help from you. Each day, she was growing more independent - much like you were at her age.
“Yes, baby?”
“Do you really think he’ll love me no matter what?”
Lily’s eyes sparkled in a way you’ve never seen before, they were full of expectations, happiness, hope; although her question came off nearly as a whisper, there was also excitement there. He really was everything she’s been wanting lately. Going to school holding his hand, having him picking her up and taking her to ballet, baking chocolate chip biscuits because they were her favourite and she hoped they were his too. You often heard Lily call him in her sleep - ‘daddy’, she repeated relentlessly, sometimes followed by a giggle and others by a soft cry that broke your heart into a billion tiny pieces. And you wanted him there too, you needed him there to watch her grow and educate Lily in a way she’d be the kindest and smartest woman you’ve ever met, and also the most successful. You knew that once Mason got to know her and see the wonderful kid she was, he’d want the exact same.
“There’s no way a person could not love you, whether it’s your daddy or any other.” Sitting on the floor, next to her, you took Lily in your arms and softly kissed the tip of her nose, making her giggle with her eyes closed. Once big brown eyes met yours again, you felt your chest clench with all the love you felt for that little girl and wondered how that love would extend to Mason now that he’d be part of your lives. Simply because she was just like him and it felt obvious that if you loved her, you loved him too. If not romantically, then for giving you Lily.
“What is his name?” You hoped she’d ask you that before his arrival. Holding her tight, you leaned a bit as you were about to tell her a secret.
“Mason.” You whispered in her ear, causing Lily to gasp almost instantly and cup your face with her hands.
“Mason and Maisie?” Nodding, you kissed her cheek, and watched your daughter grow silent this time. No giggles, no smile, just a frown on her face that you thought it could become permanent at how fast her mind was working now. “You said he’s a Chelsea fan, mummy?” You nodded again and, this time, your moment with Lily was interrupted by the bell ringing, an always discreet sound that now made you feel instantly anxious.
“It’s him, baby. Let’s do this together?” Lily shook her head and you’ve decided to respect her space and time, allowing her to be wherever it felt most comfortable to meet her dad and if she wanted to wait in her bedroom, with all her toys and teddy bears, you’d let her. “I’ll pick up the door and bring him here then. Is that okay for you?”
“Yes, mummy.” She pulled away from you, rushing to pick up all the clothes that were spread on the floor as you walked out of her room and took large, quick steps towards the door.
Taking a deep breath before opening it, you found Mason standing there almost ready to ring the bell again and giving you a shy smile when your eyes met. His nose was pink from the cold outside and so were his cheeks, but from the anticipation of meeting his daughter. Mason’s hands were sweating, he constantly rubbed them in his hoodie, not trying to hide his anxiety. You liked that he wasn’t shy about showing off his emotions, it was important to you knowing how important this moment was for him.
“Come in, Mason. She’s been waiting for you.”
“She knows?” He walked in when you gave him space and after quickly scanning your living room without you noticing, he watched you close the door behind you.
“Yes and no. I told her you were coming and she was about to connect the dots about who you are when you rang the bell. I think that’s what she’s probably doing now.” You knew that because you could hear the familiar sound of tiny footsteps quickly pacing around coming from Lily’s room. Part of you couldn’t help but let a grin curl the sides of your lips, Mason watching you curiously, but apparently getting the fun of it; of how Lily was so smart for her age, a mini adult, always observing around and capturing every little detail so she’d never be left behind by absolutely nobody - not even her own mother. You didn’t know if Mason was like that too, but you secretly hoped that he wasn’t so Lily would have at least that in common with you.
In her room, Lily walked in perfect circles, her mind and heart racing as she held her teddy bear as tight as she could against her small frame. A desperate attempt of trying to control the unfamiliar feelings that suddenly weighed so much on her little shoulders. She was finally meeting her dad. She could remember every night she whispered for him, hoping that the love she felt for him - even not knowing who he was - would, somehow, reach him and bring him to her. The greatest gift she could ever ask for, even better than when her fish Moana came home for Christmas. Lily hoped he would love her just as much, that he’d find her pretty and loved the sound of her laugh because she loved his smile too, the first time they met.
Lily knew it was no coincidence - his smile was just like hers, she recognised herself on that man who was smiling at her, on the other side of the screen.
Mason and Maisie.
There was a knot forming on her throat when Lily finally decided to sit on her bed, anxiously waiting, a sniff filling the quiet room when she heard her daddy’s voice. It really was him, she knew his voice from when they FaceTimed. Lily quickly wiped her tears with the sleeve of her hoodie before they could fall, she didn’t want her daddy to see her crying. Hoping he’d be just as happy to meet her for the first time, Lily wanted to open the biggest smile in the world for him and tell him how much she missed him everyday even if they’d just met.
The sound of soft and slow steps getting close to her bedroom woke her up, and if it was any possible, she held the teddy bear against her body even tighter. Her mind now raced on what she’d say first and although she didn’t know, on the other side of the door, Mason felt just the same. He was taken by anxious, hopeful and also uncertain feelings. The only image he had of her was that adorable giggle she gave him, and how her nose scrunched a bit when she smiled, and her eyes closed in pure innocent bliss. She had his dimples, too.
Now, every detail about Lily that went almost unnoticed at first, were back in Mason’s mind and if anyone asked, he’d describe her perfectly. Bottom nose and all - because she was pretty much just like him and Mason found himself amazed by that. The sudden urge to take Lily in his arms and tell her he’d never leave her side took his entire being, he just wanted to burst into that room and try to understand what was all that he was suddenly feeling.
Mason watched you giving him a soft, reassuring smile before opening the door. He wanted to stretch his neck and peek inside, but he didn’t want to creep the little girl out, so he just waited both patiently and impatiently, watching you open the door enough you could see Lily and she could see you too.
“Hi mummy,” That soft, warm voice made him instantly smile. His chest clenched, and Mason unconsciously grabbed your pinky with his again.
“Hi peanut. There’s someone here I know you’ve been wanting to meet for a while. Can we come in?”
He deduced Lily said yes with a nod, because you were now leading him inside the room. Finally, you moved to the side, giving him the perfect vision of that tiny human watching him with her two big brown orbs with curiosity and amazement. Lily beamed at him shyly, her little legs anxiously wiggling, breathing becoming now faster but at a pace that didn’t worry you because you knew all she wanted to do was jump from her bed straight to his arms. You only noticed tears now were falling freely down your cheeks when your vision blurred and you had to wipe them with the back of your hands as you watched Mason slowly approach Lily.
You could feel it - those two being pulled towards each other like magnets, four years of being apart, something always missing but Mason not knowing what it was while his daughter called him every night before falling asleep. You watched him kneeling in front of your daughter, stretch out his hands so she could place hers on his - as she did, finally letting go of the teddy bear - and softly squeeze them as his thumbs brushed his daughter’s hands.
Mason took a long, deep breath, and finally opened a wide smile. The one that made his nose scrunch, and Lily mimicked him. “Your mum said you wanted to meet me, but did you know I couldn’t wait to meet you too?”
Lily’s jaw dropped in amazement, as if he had just told her a big secret, and she let out a giggle. “Do you promise?”
“I do, princess. She told me you’re very smart and funny, and that your laugh is the greatest sound in the world but I already knew that.” Still holding her hands, Mason tickled her ribs, making Lily let out a loud laugh. “There it is.”
Wrapping your arms around your body, you swallowed a sob.
“Can I-” Lily lowered her gaze to Mason’s hand still holding hers and, after a soft squeeze of encouragement from him, she looked at him again. “Can I hug you?”
Mason nodded, still smiling, letting go of her hands and opening his arms so he could nestle her in a long awaited hug. He had to hold himself on her bed when Lily threw herself into his arms, tiny hands gripping the fabric of his hoodie so tight she pulled it against her body - hiding her face on the crook of his neck, Mason felt his skin getting warm and wet from tears Lily wanted to hide. He rubbed her back, up and down, and the other hand cupped the back of her head, feeling how soft her dark brown hair was under his touch. If there was anything missing in his life before, there wasn’t now, because he instantly knew that Lily was the missing piece.
“Shh, no need to cry. I’m never leaving.” With flushed cheeks and puffy, teary eyes, Lily finally looked at him when he said the words she’s been longing to hear. She felt safe in her daddy’s arms and although she wanted to say it, say the word, Lily was shy to do it because in her mind he was her daddy but also Summer’s cool uncle.
“My cousin.” Lily whispered, watching Mason frown. “Summer!!”
This time, Mason chuckled. He didn’t say anything, just nodded, and pulled Lily on a tight hug again. The little girl finally looked at her mummy, not sure how she felt about seeing you cry so much because she knew you weren’t sad, so she shouldn’t be sad too but your tears bothered her.
“Mummy,” She called you, stretching her arm at you so you could hold her hand. In the blink of an eye, you found yourself sitting on the floor, next to Mason. “Don’t cry. He said he’s never leaving.”
“I know, baby.” You cooed, pressing soft kisses on her hand, the smell of baby cologne and the warmth of her soft skin instantly calming your fast heartbeat.
Mason finally looked at you, but you couldn’t figure out how he felt about you at this moment and although it bothered you a bit, it also didn’t matter because it was all about how Lily felt, and how much his presence would positively impact on her life.
It took some time for Lily to pull away from Mason, and you all agreed that moving to the living room would be more comfortable. With Lily still in his arms, Mason carried her as you followed, until you were comfortably sitting on the sofa.
Mason wanted to know everything about her, from her. He asked about her days at school, at ballet, asked what her favourite movie was and if she liked super heroes - Spider Man, to be more specific, to which Lily replied that although she did like it, it wasn’t as much as her mummy did. He also asked what her favourite food was, and Maisie was quick to ask if he liked chocolate chip biscuits because those were her favourites in the world. They learned that both shared a passion for spag bol, and Mason seemed to be amused by the fact that his own kid played football at school. Lily made him promise he’d play with her, someday.
She danced around the living room when pizza arrived and you couldn’t ignore how Mason’s eyes sparkled as he watched her with a wide smile spread across his lips; he was loving every bit of the night, not holding back every loud laugh at Lily’s witty and sassy personality. You wanted to hit your head against the wall when you noticed that even the way they chewed the food was similar, how they just switched off and focused on eating, humming softly at every bite.
Mason offered himself to be in charge of the dishes as you prepared the living room for a late night Moana session, after Lily practically begged him to stay a little longer, almost threatening to cry thinking she’d never see him again, although Mason was constantly reassuring her - and you  - that he wasn’t going anywhere and that he’d never let Lily go too. That was going to be the hard part of him being in her life, now. She’d want him constantly around, for everything, and you couldn’t blame your daughter, especially because you also wanted him around for her and whatever she needed from him.
Much to your surprise, Lily managed to stay awake for the first 30 minutes of the movie, but you noticed how sleepy she was, constantly blinking and yawning, fighting against it and eyes never moving from Mason. She checked him constantly and, as he nestled her in his arms, her hands were back gripping his hoodie. Again, you couldn’t blame her for not wanting to let him go - as far as you could remember, Mason radiated this comforting warmth as he was the sun. Sitting close enough to him, you could swear that it was him also keeping you warm.
“Masey,” She called him, and the look of pure adoration he gave her - not mad at all that she wasn’t comfortable yet calling him ‘daddy’ - made you sigh in pure bliss. “Mummy makes the best pancakes.”
Mason raised an eyebrow at her, a soft grin playing on his lips when he quickly glanced at you, making your cheeks blush a little. “Does she, really?”
“Mhmm…” Lily nodded, yawning before continuing with her logic. “Can you come for breakfast?”
“I suppose I can, beautiful.” He was quick to give her the answer she wanted, and you knew he’d do anything for that girl. Mason would spoil her, do all of her wishes and she wouldn’t even have to ask - it felt like he’d always be one step ahead. He’d give her the world.
With the answer she wanted, Lily felt safe enough to give in and sleep take her to dreamland, even if reality felt much better. She’d dream about it - about her dream coming true. You and Mason shared a laugh when Lily let out a sigh followed by a hum and a low, soft snore that was getting louder as she breathed heavily.
“She didn’t get that from me.” You whispered, and it was Mason’s turn to blush. “Can you take her to bed?”
“Absolutely.”
The way he carefully stood up still holding her warmed your entire being, your heart pounding so hard against your chest that you could almost hear it. That was something you’ve always wanted to see, it just made you feel sad that he wasn’t around when she was a baby too, and you couldn’t help but feel guilty. You should’ve tried harder, should’ve made him listen even if he behaved like an idiot that day.
Watching him carefully put Lily in bed, cover her and kiss her forehead before leaving her bedroom, your eyes burned with tears as you waited in the hallway, your body leaning against the wall.
“I’m sorry.” You sniffed, forcing yourself to swallow the knot that formed on your throat. “I’m sorry for keeping her away from you, all these years.”
“It doesn’t matter, Y/n.” Mason sighed, hands in his pockets as he mimicked you and leaned on the wall in front of you. “What matters is that I’m here now, and that I’m not leaving. I’m here for her and for you, too.”
“For me?” You raised an eyebrow, watching Mason shrug with a nod.
“You’re her mum, we’ll always be in each other’s lives. I’ll look after you too.”
“I’ll look after you too, then.”
Mason seemed content with your answer. For him, there was no point bringing back the past because it wouldn’t be good for anyone, especially not for Lily - if you two were on good terms, she’d always be happy and her happiness was what truly mattered. He’d find a way to tell his parents as smoothly as possible, his friends, his teammates and the fans, eventually, always respecting yours and Lily’s privacy so it’d be a calm transition from the life you all had to the life that included Lily in every situation of his, and the attention the media would give to Mason Mount being the father of a four year old and how it’d turn things upside down.
“It’s too late for you to drive home, Mason. We have a spare room.” You pointed to the closed door on his left. “Stay for early morning pancakes.”
It indeed was too late and Mason could feel his eyelids getting heavier by each second. He nodded, covering his mouth when a yawn parted his lips. “You don’t have to insist, I accept the invitation.”
“Good”. You chuckled. “You’ll find clean towels in the closet if you want to shower, and clean clothes too. I had some friends over a few weekends ago and they just left their stuff here.”
You watched Mason nod and pull away from the wall, arms stretching in front of his body, letting out all the tension from today’s events. Suddenly, the awkwardness of not knowing what to say nor do weighed a ton between you; Mason watched you curiously, and you could swear there was a hint of a smile curling his lips.
“She’s perfect, you’ve been doing the most fantastic job raising this girl.” His cheeks blushed a little and so did yours, you cleared your throat, hands nervously touching your hair. Mason took one step forward, enough to end the short distance between you, and that made your heart pound against your chest. His body towered yours, making the most intense shiver run through your body - Mason leaned a bit, the softness of his warm and wet lips pressing against your cheek made you gulp. “Good night, Y/n.” He whispered. “I’ll see you in the morning.”
