When you remember that time Sheogorath "won" a beast duel with Hircine when he sent a little bird to battle Hircine's specially bred giant Daedroth. The bird would continuously fly on and around the giant Daedroth, but the Daedroth was so big and awkward it could not swipe or bite the bird. Instead, it ended up missing every bite, and instead, it ended up biting itself, again and again until it bit/mauled itself to death.

I like to imagine that, after everything that happens, Astrid goes up to Lydia with a stern look on her face and demands to know why she never told Astrid about Beetlejuice in the first place. Lydia: "I told you, you can't say his name! And you did not need to know about him" Astrid: "You act as if he's a guy that you used to date in high school, but then you had to call it off cos you could not or did not want to commit to anything or something!" Lydia: "No I don't! And that is NOT how it went!" Just a reminder ...

Might I remind everyone of the fact Delia and Lydia nailed the door to the attic shut with planks of wood, and even added chains, yet later on, Lydia rushes up to the attic to summon BJ. She had more than enough time to rethink her decision while she was taking down that barricade, yet she still did it, because she knew he was the ONLY person she could contact that would be able to help her.

Lydia earlier in the movie when Beetlejuice is still making his presence known: Lydia: "I WANT YOU OUT OF MY LIFE!" Lydia at the end of the movie, after Beej admits his feelings, saves her daughter, forces Rory to reveal his true intentions - he did this TWICE, by the way, not just once - and then accepts Lydia's decision to send him back to the Netherworld yet again, knowing full well she rejected him AGAIN, yet he still takes it like a champion cos that's how much he respects her: Lydia = SO MANY CONFLICTING EMOTIOOONNSS!!
